  1. I searched, and it doesn't look like the Ramp Cleat mat comes in 4' width, so I guess I'll get the Fine Rib.
  2. I've not had any connection issues
  3. Do you think this is it? We don't want it to be real heavy/thick, but rather to protect the metal bottom in a pickup bed tool box and keep things from sliding around. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rubber-Cal-Corrugated-Fine-Rib-3-ft-x-4-ft-Black-Rubber-Flooring-12-sq-ft-03-167-W-FR-04/302640296?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&mtc=Shopping-B-F_Brand-G-Multi-NA-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-Catchall_PLA&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_Brand-G-Multi-NA-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA-NA-NA-Catchall_PLA-71700000014585962-58700001236285396-92700010802552376&gclid=CjwKCAiAuoqABhAsEiwAdSkVVBrkA2pLy8eRRonMEuxrZCa0xNWwp4eYFkBPm_dn40KRuWjzJoTlUBoCZbsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Will be picking up the toolbox at Home Depot, so it would be a bonus if we could purchase it there. This is the tool box; we finally found one high enough to carry a Yamaha 2200i generator. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Weather-Guard-62-Diamond-Plate-Aluminum-Full-Size-Chest-Truck-Tool-Box-684-0-01/206497973
  4. Does anyone know the brand of black rubber matting Oliver currently uses in the storage compartments? We like it better than the "spongey" black non-skid toolbox mat we've purchased for use in drawers. The mat Oliver uses is ribbed and more rigid than what we've found. Thanks
  5. Colorado is a much nicer place to live than Portland/Vancouver! We are actually 50 miles west of Roseburg, just off of Hwy 42 and the Middle Fork of the Coquille River. Lots of trees and far enough inland to be out of the fog belt. My husband grew up here; me - I'm a transplant from California, but consider myself an Oregonian as I've live here since 1966.
  6. Thanks for the tip . . . . I've tried that . . . . . 4wd is just too far from the ground and swinging my let over is a challenge for my 60+ year old legs! Much easier with my collapsible stool. You're going to love the 1up rack. We've had ours several years. It is so quick and easy to load/unload and nice that it folds up out of the way when not in use. Only downside is that it is heavy to install it; best as a two person job. Is there still a long wait for them? A few month ago they were backordered; another pandemic supply chain issue.
  7. If you choose to use nothing to secure the Bulldog coupler, and someone hooks up your Ollie and drives off with it, know that you can contact nearby emergency rooms as, most likely, the thief will have ripped off his finger while engaging the Bulldog ! ! !
  8. And if you have theft coverage, the insurance company will do the work to search and locate. They have the means to do that and the incentive to find it as they don't want to have to buy you another Oliver. On the downside, think of the time you'd have to wait for a new one!!!
  9. If I remember correctly, our Oliver came with #3 . . . . . but I might not have been paying attention . . . . . "Squirrell!" We, too, have several of these locking hitch pins; the one I saw at delivery may have been one my husband pulled out of the tool box 😊 I do feel the need for some sort of coupler lock, for peace of mind. Going off on a hike is not enjoyable if the entire hike you are wondering, "Will the Ollie be there when we return?"
  10. My dad's neighbor actually had the motion activated barking dog alarm. We have the barking dog across the creek from our house, but not motion activated . . . . just a barking dog! . . . . . real annoying 😠 Seriously, I think the hitch (coupler) lock would be less hassle and just as effective as chaining the wheels, without the chance of forgetting to remove the locking device before hitching up and driving off. That being said, I wonder how many Oliver owners actually use some sort of trailer immobilization lock.
  11. Is this cable comparable to Kryponite cables? We have several we use for bikes, ATVs etc. I can see where the camping experience could become less enjoyable with all the gear we could be "locking down" each time you leave the campsite. I guess you need to decide which items you can live without for a while and you can afford to replace. My customized bike ($1K+) gets locked; camping gear, not so much. We'll be using a good quality aluminum bed tool chest for securing attractive items (auxillary propane tank, fuel container, generator, BBQ). As for the Ollie - which is better: coupler lock or wheel locks? Has anyone installed a motion sensor alarm as a deterrent, similar to a car alarm?
  12. Thanks for asking . . . . . . . We haven't made it to Dodge yet . . . . still on my bucket list though . . . . . . maybe this year 😊
  13. Keep an eye on your Yamaha 2200 . . . . we've been trying to get one since October, and there are none . . . nada . . . . zip . . . . anywhere. Yamaha is now telling me they should be available this Spring . . . . . URGHHHHH!
  14. Congratulations and a warm welcome from SW Oregon. As others have mentioned, it is good to see the westward migration of Oliver Trailers! They are few and far between here in the Pacific Northwest. We traveled to Colorado last summer as part of our "Heritage Tour" when we visited locations where my grandparents lived. I still have cousins in Penrose and Sargents; we actually located them (Penrose isn't a big place) after not having seen them in over 60 years. Dad was born in Penrose and Grandpa spent most of his adult life there. Colorado is a beautiful state; if it weren't for the fact that our children (and grandkids) are in Oregon, I would move to Colorado in a heartbeat . . . . . my husband, me and "Pearl" #699 (we picked her up December 7 - Pearl Harbor Day!
  15. For 2021, you can get the lagun table in the twin bed floorplan but you can't also have the basement access door. The picture above is a mod where you can add the lagun mount to one of the beds and still have the basement door in the nightstand. I don't think this is offered by Oliver. Know that if you add the lagun table, it will somewhat restrict access to the nightstand drawer.
  16. Our 2021 Elite II Twin configuration: Upgraded mattresses Ultrafabric dinette cushions Fiber granite counters (Midnight Decor) Lithium Pro Pkg Cellular Booster 30 amp convenience connection Basement hatch at base of nightstand (for laundry chute) Hypervent pads on beds 30# propane tanks Metallic pinstripe graphics Water heater, toilet and awning are all standard. Though it had no effect on price, we opted for the galley storage cabinet in lieu of the microwave and black cabinet doors. No TV antenna or satellite receiver, LP quick connects, rear camera, wifi booster, keyless door latch, weight distribution hitch, rear bumper receiver, storage basket, lagun table, auto drain valve or shower track Base Price: $57,500 With options: $71,960 Oh, and we ordered ours in White, no extra charge 😇
  17. The hitch we purchased from etrailer is rated for 7,500# - 750# tongue weight. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch-Ball-Mount/Curt/D210.html There is plenty of clearance for turning radius. It doesn't look like it in the photo, but with this hitch the tailgate can be opened while the rack is in place and loaded with bikes. The only problem is me getting into the pickup bed with the tailgate down . . . . but that is always a problem. We carry a collapsible step stool for this, but usually it's easier to just use the bumper and climb over the tailgate. A retracting step at one corner of the bumper would be nice. I am so happy we found a solution for our 1up rack . . . . didn't want to give it up!
  18. When our locking bike rack isn't attached to the hitch, we remove the dual mount receiver and place it on the floorboards of the pickup. When we get a pickup bed tool box, I imagine it will reside there when not in use. When unhooked from the TV for short periods of time, we don't worry about the receiver "disappearing". We also carry a single drop hitch and ball (we have several!) if needed. I suppose we will sometimes use the single hitch when the dual hitch isn't necessary (not carrying the bike rack). We've yet to tow with the bike rack in place; maybe next week we'll give it a go.
  19. Homolovi is really nice . . . . we were there in early June and there were Jack Rabbits everywhere. If you stop, take the time to visit the ruins east of the campground.
  20. @JRK On our return to Oregon from Hohenwald the first part of December, we took I-40 to Barstow, then US 58 to Tehachapi where we stayed at a nice little RV park situated on a small private airstrip where they have a glider flight school. Unfortunately, we didn't arrive early enough to watch them fly. They also have a restaurant at the airport; it was take-out only meals. Covid regulations restricted camping to self-contained RVs only; the bathroom/showers were closed. They do have a dump station. It's uncertain, in light of the tighter lock down in place now, what the situation will be in March. I believe the nightly rate was $40 with water/electric. http://skylarknorth.com/RV PARK.htm
  21. We have an open ticket on our Xantrex 3000 which gave us the "20" warning code during our trip home from Hohenwald . . . . . now it is working again . . . . . definitely a software issue, if you ask me.
  22. We currently have 5 deer (Mule) that hang around our house . . . . The problem is, they have nearly 200 acres of our land to feed on, but insist on coming into our yard to eat the flowers and any vegetables that aren't fenced in. "Cute" isn't the word I use in reference to them. 😬
  23. Haven't had the chance to take the Ollie and bikes out yet. Still waiting for several days of dry weather that don't fall on a weekend. With most Forest Service/BLM land still locked down due to Covid and wildfires, and mountain pass conditions keeping us on the coast, it is hard to find campgrounds that aren't full, especially on the weekends. There's a small window of opportunity with no rain Friday through next Monday this week so we're talking about spending Sunday and Monday nights at a nearby county park in the small community of Powers, Oregon. It is situated on an old lumber mill site, with a large pond for kayaking/fishing and plenty of space to ride the bikes on road and off. I'm extremely happy with our bike rack solution; it looks like it will work quite well.
