  1. If you're going to use the Yamaha 2200 or the Honda 2200, I'd opt for the East Start. Oliver only charges $100 over retail for the installation. If you're using AGM, the AC won't pull from your batteries. You'd be running off shore or generator power. The Easy Start allows the AC to start when using generator power. Generator power, settings (eco mode), propane mods, elevation changes, and ambient temp can all impact the successful startup of the AC when using a generator.
  2. Thanks for the beautiful pictures and locations. I hope this thread keeps going for as long as the forum exists. ๐Ÿ˜€
  3. I'm actually in the process of getting answers on the Solar options since my 50% down payment is almost due. It is like pulling teeth. I started looking at alternative lithium batteries and decided I'd prefer to install my own. At first I was told I could pay the difference and upgrade to the Xantrex 3000 Watt XC Pro. Then I was told that it wasn't something they were willing to do. Why? I can only assume it is because they want to sell me the lithium package which I'm crossing off the list out of principle now. I requested wiring diagrams to determine what the differences are between the non-solar configuration, 2000 Watt inverter, and 3000 Watt inverter. At this point I'm ready to scrap all of the solar options and just do it all myself, panels included. It is more than a little frustrating because Oliver told me I could make any changes post build. I had to go through management just to get them to not install the bathroom mirror. ๐Ÿ˜’ They also declined to sell me the bike rack without the receiver... I'm guessing there are wiring differences since the AC would only be on battery power if you purchased the lithium option. The power distribution panel is also probably different.
  4. I'm trying to get this information from my rep but the PD-5000 looks like a really safe bet to me: Image from the 2020 3D tour. You can see the logo with enough contrast. Only the PD-5000 has those features as far as I know. This is the first mention of the updated distribution panel that I've seen on the forums. Thanks for pointing out the change. I was really struggling to understand how they had the new units wired. There isn't much to go wrong in these panels at least.
  5. You're all good, Scotty. I was just bringing it up because I'm basically locked out of the Facebook group because I'll never create an account there and thus never have access to Oliver information posted there. That is my problem, not yours. ๐Ÿ˜ -Another internet introvert from IT
  6. I'd be curious to know if the Facebook Oliver mods would support recruiting people away from the facebook group and on to MeWe. If so, godspeed! ๐Ÿ˜€
  7. I'm sure the fibergranite helps mask some of the scuffs and scratches. The nice thing about white is that any boat or fiberglass shop can refinish it to new. There was also an image of someone's countertop that was wrapped in stainless and it looked incredible ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  8. I agree. It actually irks me that the facebook group splits the community. The knowledge here is better than the sales team and the mods are top notch. I appreciate your enthusiasm but why fracture the community/knowledge base? If things like quality issues started to be censored here I'd support you 100% but for now, this place is pretty fantastic.
  9. Thanks for that very useful post, David. I was hopeful for the 23.4 inch long version based on CedarForks' custom tub design: I was hopeful that with 3.1 inches lopped off the end, it would fit. Rounded corners are tricky though and I have no idea how accurate his drawing is ๐Ÿคช Based on Oliver's basement video, the shape looks very different:
  10. Where I'm at after more research: IRIS container confirmed to fit from thread: Size: W:15 11/16" L: 21 5/8" H: 10 11/16" Possible larger alternative that should fit: https://www.irisusainc.com/weathertight-storage-box-46-6-qt-ucb-sd Might be possible with or without the lid. I'm unsure what the actual height is in the basement: https://www.irisusainc.com/sliding-storage-box-61-qt-ssb-60-green I'm going to keep searching but hopefully this will help someone.
  11. I did some digging for a few hours and gave up. Web filters for storage bin sizes seem to fail on almost every online retailer I've tried. I'm looking to fill the area directly behind the outdoor access panel.
  12. They work with road bikes too. I think there is just a large overlap with truck people and mountain bikes. ๐Ÿ˜
  13. I love these but I don't have a truck... yet. ๐Ÿ˜ https://www.gearhacker.com/best-mountain-bike-tailgate-pad-review/
  14. Jim, if you wanted to get really crazy, something like this *might* work inside the trailer: https://www.1up-usa.com/product/van-tray/ You'd need to get really creative with a floor mount if you didn't want the horizontal mounts running across your floor though. A bike rack on the front of your TV or trailer seems a heck of a lot easier though ๐Ÿ˜
  15. Another option when flipped upside down: https://www.amazon.com/Buyers-Products-SBH2-Receiver-Opening/dp/B007CVH6SO/ Another higher priced option: https://www.amazon.com/Ranch-Hand-RHU001BLB-Receiver-Tube/dp/B00C7OKVTC
  16. This looks like it would work well mounted on the existing oliver bumper/bike rack with different hardware: https://www.gowesty.com/product/made-in-usa/4335/front-mounted-2-hitch-receiver-for-gowesty-plate-steel-bumper I can't find the plate dimensions but it looks to be 4 inches.
  17. Thanks for the dimensions, John. Your frame looks better than the one from the Oliver factory ๐Ÿ˜œ I was hoping to find some solution that I could home game, even if it looks ugly. I've asked my sales rep if I could purchase the rack without the receiver bolted on. Assuming they get back to me and are OK with my request, I'll need to find some type of solution. Thanks again for the insights.
  18. Does anyone know the width of the new bike rack bumper? I'm curious to know if it is less than 4.5 inches. I'm sure someone has discussed this but I've lost track given the number workarounds I've looked at over the years on the forum. A couple of these RV bumper hitches appear to be a possible solution to the 1.25" receiver. It looks like this might fit around the bumper. If the width of the bumper is too large, we could redrill 4 new holes. Some type of spacer would be needed to separate the steel from the aluminum. The additional length of the bolts would need cut down to allow the storage compartment to swing open. Thoughts from the more informed would be greatly appreciated. Oliver will not fabricate one for me despite asking nicely and offering to pay. ๐Ÿคจ I really don't understand why.
  19. Awesome! That is pretty much exactly what I'm going for! ๐Ÿ˜ I was hoping these fiberglass poles would be rigid enough to pull it off: https://polesandholders.com/Poles-c52533952 I plan to re-drill the holes at about 1/3 of the tube extension for greater rigidity. Mount: https://polesandholders.com/NEW-Deluxe-Hitch-Mount-for-22-Pole-p205977791 I currently plan to use the Poynting LPDA-92: I should use better terminology to prevent someone from buying the wrong thing ๐Ÿ˜€ Band 71 support is something I should probably strongly consider as well. Thanks!
  20. Thanks for the reply, WhatDa. I was wondering if the insulation would act like a big Faraday cage but now that I think about it, the current Oliver supplied WiFi Ranger is mounted externally if I remember correctly. I hope to use a simple hotspot setup most of the time but was going to use the coax to run up a large hitch mounted pole for a dual Yagi antennas when the signal is just too poor. The pre-drilled coax ports close to the rear only adds about 10 ft or so of coax and I can avoid drilling a hole out of the attic ๐Ÿ˜œ
  21. Ah, I follow you now I think. You mean you could flip the cushions and still have Ultrafabric on the top and bottom. I was thinking Oliver made it so you could actually turn the cushions inside out and still have Ultraleather ๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. Wouldn't that require 2x the fabric? I thought all of the Brisa line was Rayon Backed.
  23. We have a 35 lbs dog. We're also delusional in thinking we can keep him from jumping onto the uncovered cushions. ๐Ÿ˜
  24. Thanks again for the great info. We're going to get crazy and try cushions instead of the mattress. That said, breathability is a big concern. The cloth cushions seem like they would be easier to handle during brutal heat but your comment gives me some hope. Durability and ease of cleaning is pretty much the only reason we're considering the upgrade. You're also correct about Ultraleather being slightly more durable than Brisa based on their scuff testing.
