  1. After removing the microwave glass, we tape the door closed. Found the bathroom faucet bumps against the wall during travel, so we installed clear bumpers where the faucet contacts the bathroom wall. Sounds like checklist items.
  2. We owned a 1987 Toyota pickup and currently own a 4 cylinder 2003 Tacoma. Had excellent service from both vehicles. Been looking at the Tundra or F150 to purchase at the end of the year.
  3. On our previous TT and other trailers we use ST tires. Just installed ST radials on a motorcycle trailer, and have not had any issues with ST radial tires with two 7500 mile TT adventures and many lower mile adventures. ST tires are rated for up to 65MPH. The Ollie is the first TT we have towed with dual axles equipped with LT tires and it tows/stops great with fuel economy average around 15MPG at 60MPH in TN & NC flat lands and mountains. Our Ollie came with BF Goodrich Commercial All Season Tires with E load range rating, LT225/75R-16, R speed rating of 106MPH. http://www.superiortireservice.com/tires/view/174919/bfgoodrich-commercial-t-a-all-season-2-lt225-75r16/ Back to changing tranny fluid in the TV getting ready for the next camping adventure.
  4. We've been discussing moving up to a larger TV at the end of the year. Look forward to hearing your comparison!
  5. Here's the height of the extension that keeps the twin bed mattress in place: Here's where the extension joins the nightstand base:
  6. The rivet heads in the twin bed extensions could be drilled out with a bit about the diameter of the rivet shank. Looks like the nightstand is secured with 90 degree brackets & screws on the interior surfaces and caulked on the exterior seam. Here's nightstand interior shots: View from front to rear of camper inside night stand: View from rear to front of camper inside nightstand:
  7. Here's the twin bed extention rivets Bill mentions: Here's the nightstand and close up where the factory installed caulking on the nightstand base: Base of nightstand caulking:
  8. We use Thetford Black Streak & Bug remover for RV gelcoat, fiberglass, and painted aluminum. OK to use around windows or decals, too. Buy it at the local Walmart. I'm in a habit of cleaning bugs, stains, and tar off of the front of the camper & TV with a soft cloth and bug/tar remover at the end of each travel day. http://www.thetford.com/product/ultrafoam-rv-black-streak-bug-remover/ Use bug and tar remover by Turtle Wax for our pick up trucks. https://www.turtlewax.com/shop/products/turtle-wax-renew-rx-bug-tar-remover-16-fl-oz Use Plexus to clean plastic windscreens on motorcycles, helmets, and airplanes: http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/about.html Always wash the Ollie at home with fiberglass boat wash.
  9. This improvement will contribute to many trouble free towing miles. That's what I like about Oliver!!!!!!!
  10. Just ordered a kit from Nick's for $193.21 delivered. Will take photos during Ollie installation: http://www.nickstruckparts.com/k71-653-00.html
  11. Just tested our shower with 12V on-board pump. As previously mentioned, the 12V pump system does not have as much pressure as the city water connection, but still found our on board pump to be adequate for a shower using the faucet shower feature. Ran the faucet for over 20 seconds and worked OK. May be system pressure differences to cause previously mentioned low pressure problems. Using 12V Ollie pump system, Faucet feature: Shower feature: The previous owner used this inline gallon meter while filling the fresh water tank, it came in handy today to partially fill the tank during testing:
  12. Just returned from a camping trip in the NC mountains and tried the shower feature with city water connected to the camper. The shower feature with city water pressure works great. Have not tried it using the 12V on board pump yet.
  13. Off topic, extra pieces of fiberglass have many uses! Gave a guy in Florida a template to cut out these fiberglass flat side panels for a street tracker style motorcycle. :)
  14. Steve, Beautiful work!!!!!!! Agree, I'm hesitant to cut holes in the fine Ollie surfaces, but your work looks like the factory did the work!
  15. Mount Mitchell SP NC between Asheville NC and Boone NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is tent only campground there, but still a nice place to visit with a restaurant close to the summit. When it's hot in the lower elevations, great place to cool off. Took these shots today:
  16. Congrats on your new Ollie!!!!!! Really like the rig and colors!!!!!
  17. Since Wondering about additional battery location, too! Were you running AC without additional batteries? Thanks,
  18. That's a big difference. Did you replace the water pump? Will watch the complete video and check out his Blog! Posted yesterday about our new to us Oliver on a thread he started on the Air Forum. Plan to install the LP hatch after seeing it on Hardrock's Ollie.
  19. Here's my theory. Oliver cropped & reversed the photo to get the text in the upper LH side of the photo. Found the original non reversed photo on OTT site in the Legacy Elite II photos. 4th Photo down from top, on left side, 1st page: http://olivertraveltrailers.com/photo-galleries/exterior-photos/
  20. Faucet experiment: Ollie faucet on stream mode: Spray Mode: Nozzle experiment. Tried the Ollie faucet nozzle on the sink faucet in my garage where greasy paws are normally washed. Please forgive the dirty sink! Regular sink faucet nozzle installed: Ollie faucet nozzle in stream setting: Ollie faucet nozzle in spray setting: Looks like any faucet nozzle can be experimented with on the Ollie.
  21. Will take some faucet/thread/nozzle shots in a few minutes and post. Debbie & I are working on the Ollie today. We purchased our Ollie used, so did not know about the stream to spray mode. No faucet changes for now, will test the spray shower mode on the next trip. :) Have only used our faucet in the stream mode, so far. Thanks for the stream/spray mode info and video!
  22. That's the shower/faucet nozzle threaded directly directly to the Ollie shower/faucet handle. Took about 30 seconds to remove. Assuming the "Oxygenics showerspa handheld for RVs" assembly with hose fittings are standard, since the Ollie has a standard shower/faucet nozzle size.
  23. Probably will work, like Stan said. We may want to upgrade our shower head, too. Please let us know how the project goes.
  24. Looks like the shower head ID thread on the Ollie is .84" or 1/2" NPT thread. 1/2NPT is the standard thread for shower heads: http://homeguides.sfgate.com/shower-head-thread-size-84705.html
  25. Thanks for the wise old sayings. Debbie & I were hiking in NC when I happened to look back. There was a snake with red, yellow, and black bands where she was going to step. Stopped her in her tracks. Remembered the old saying: "Red touches Yellow kills a fellow". Coral Snake This snake had red bands touching black bands. "Red touches Black, friend of Jack". We saw the non poisonous Kingsnake. Here's an informative link since the old snake sayings do not always hold true, depends on where you're hiking: https://snakebuddies.net/2010/09/03/red-and-yellow-kills-a-fellow-your-identification-guide-to-tri-color-snakes/
