  1. I have mixed feelings on this subject. Both of us have hearing problems so errors in communications are often our fault. I tend to rely on email or text due to those issues. All in all, we have been treated fairly, with respect, and we have met some wonderful people. Our face-to-face conversations and experiences have been exceptional. I believe they care about their customers but we did experience a few problems with communications along the way. Now that we have our Oliver we have had a few minor issues getting thru to people per phone when we are on the road. I have had good results when texting Richie, he normally gets back to us ASAP, whereas others have not made return calls. Our problem right now is the fact that we are at the point where we need to make an appointment to get a few of those first year things taken care of at the factory (the fresh water tank fix, a minor drawer issue, etc.) but we are not sure who we need to contact these days. Do we contact a certain person in Service or in Sales to get a work order made up and schedule an appointment? Right now the old movie line “Who you gunna call - Ghost Busters!” is running thru my mind. ???? - ???? I think most of us were given personal contact cards on our Ollie pick up day but should we be calling those people every time we have a problem or question (for us - that is Richie who has been wonderful to us) or should we be following a proper chain of command? Does the fact that we phone the person that treats us well with all of our needs add more confusion on their end of things? My suggestion - Post a contact list online - maybe in a “for owners only” section - Date the list and update it whenever there are personnel changes. Part of growth is moving people around in the organization and that should be expected. Keeping owners aware of those changes is necessary. I think we could actually be helpful if we know who to contact first.
  2. John, Your coyote logo is perfect! I can’t wait to show Clair your jack stands. Do you have an problem finding space to stow them?
  3. Nice job...I really like your modifications & additions! I’m going to check out your wifi set up for sure. We have had the TeakWorks4u shower mat on our ‘wants’ list since we ordered our Ollie....great to see one in an Oliver! Are your 22# propane tanks larger/taller than the standard steel 20# tanks? We currently have 30# tanks in ours - the weight difference is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Welcome Popcorn-Billy! I was a long time lurker here too. As you already know, you can find almost everything you will need to know about the Oliver TTs here. If you have any special questions/concerns please let us know. Smiles...Kathy
  5. Bill, We really like the COE parks. Clair has to go over to Nashville for VA matters now & then so we try To stay at Seven Points COE near Hermitage, TN. It's on the J. Percy Priest Reservoir and very quiet. It's not far from the Nashville airport. [attachment file=72127] We headed to the Cumberland State Park after leaving Fall Creek Falls. Just 30 miles from our home but we weren't ready to head home and decided we needed to stay long enough to enjoy some of the restaurant's dry rubbed ribs on Saturday night.
  6. Welcome Cobra1169! Loved reading about how you plan to use your various vehicles with your Ollie. Sounds like you've got a good plan in the works. Let the good times roll!
  7. Clair says Hi Phillip! We are looking forward to seeing you again! We stayed at the Lake Guntersville SP site that we have reserved for the 2018 rally. It's very open down by the lake (due to the tornado that went thru there) but the sites are all well kept & the restrooms clean as can be. We had lunch at the Lodge restaurant and found the food was great. All that being said...We have extemded our stay at Fall Creek Falls SP...It is a gorgeous park! I would highly recommend this one! Smiles...Kathy
  8. Heading back into TN after spending a couple nights at Guntersville Lake State Park in AL. Met some great people & showed off the 'Clever Beast numerous times. Its amazing how the Oliver draws a crowd! We experienced a sudden storm on Tuesday & would have lost our awning for sure if we hadn't been there. Several trailers lost them. Thankfully we got it in without problems. The winds were strong enough to crush our Clam, which also survived. The park was quite busy with all hands on deck helping each other. After 11 hrs without power we truly understood the advantages of owning an Oliver. We are headed to Fall Creek Falls State Park now. Clair stopped at a Walmart in the Dunlap area so He could take a power nap. As soon as we were stopped there was a rap on the truck window....a very nice woman asking if she could see our Ollie. Clair went over and spoke with her husband while I showed her thru. I could tell that they had already done a lot of research. Another amazing day....Such fun!!
  9. Buzzy, Clair & I are thinking of you as you go thru this very sad time in your life. I, personally, can not imagine losing my sweet Emma or my loving husband as you have experienced. I lost my father in April so I do understand all of the estate issues involved. They can be very trying when you are dealing with grief. Please take your time as you go thru the healing process. Buddy will be a great comfort. You have many friends here, sending hugs & prayers your way. We are all anxious to see you out enjoying your life again and posting your words of wisdom here. Best Wishes,
  10. I actually like that Mountainborn ... I was thinking about Oliver Rendezvous before you posted the previous history.
  11. Last but not least - we added "Clever Beadt" to our front decal
  12. We had a slight disagreement about the placement on this decal.....I lost but I'm ok with it....Kathy
  13. Looks very nice. Tom 2018 Oliver Elite II on order 2016 Tundra Limited Double Cab -------------------------------------- Hey Tom! Sometimes I'm a bit slow....Just noticed that you have an Ollie on order! Congratulations! Kathy
  14. LOL! Yes Canoe12, we have our profile Cesky on the front. As soon as they arrive we will be putting 3 small Cesky terriers playing with a ball on the sides (in the curve of the pin striping). [attachment file=69493]
  15. I just noticed...you can see the reflection of our home in that photo! Clair just finished applying Rejex.
  16. Angela, You can add us those that didn't receive pictures during our build but it was very easy to get status updates whenever we wanted them. I think that they have become so busy that its harder to get them now.
  17. Thank you Bill. The history of "Clever Beast" goes back to Clair's great aunt, Myrtle Reed, a romantic novelist in the late 1890's & early 1900's. She also wrote cookbooks and a children's book titled "The Book of Clever Beasts" which had stories about various animals. About 12 years ago, we decided to use "Clever Beast" for our dog kennel....so it seemed fitting to use it now. The "Clever Beast" could be either Emma, a tribute to our past dogs (Casey, Clipper, & Chloe) or our Oliver, don't you think?
  18. Trying to stay simple & understated. Look OK?
  19. Thanks for the zipline video Matt! After viewing your ride, we checked out all of the videos & informations on the zipline tours @ http://www.lakeguntersvillezipline.com/. Sure hope I'm not too old to do take the tour....would love to add it to my bucket list. The suspension bridges are more of a concern for us (Ages 67 & 69 in 2018) than the ziplines. We are adventurers & would love to try it.
  20. "If someone has not registered using this code, please contact Guntersville Lake State Park Reservations at (256) 571-5455 to receive the discounted rate. This also provides a headcount # so we will know how much food for the meals we will provide" Coy Thanks Coy! We made our reservations online & did not use the code. I contacted Guntersville Lake State Park & coreected things today.
  21. Have been watching the news all day. Have many friends & family members in Texas. Hoping that everybody has battened down the hatches & found a safe place to go. After living in FL for 23 yrs I know this is no fun at all. Brandi...love the photos! The quarters may be tight but you are safe & everybody looks relaxed & happy!
  22. Using 1 - 2 7/8" x 1/4" hitch pin and 1 - 9" Length of chain with links large enough to slide onto the hitch pin lock. Hitch pin slides thru pivet plate. Pictures will show details.
  23. Oh my! I really like the dinette starage insert. We did't get one in #245 - wish we had!'Much nicer than trying to finding an appropriate conainer to fit over all of the duct work & plumbing, etc. Wonder if they still have those available? At this point we haven't explorered the locked down side of the dinette.
