  1. Sorry to hear about the rally but, Bentonville sounds like a plan!
  2. Thanks for sub! Absolutely! Always good to ride with someone. I did the road climb a few times due to the weather and did about an 8.5 mile mtb loop around the hill but, there are a few other trails that look like fun as well. Some climbing, but should be fun.
  3. 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 4x4, crew cab, 6.6 Duramax with Banks cold air intake and Banks tuner. 2021 LE2, hull #922.
  4. I climbed the hill several times last year and also did some of the mountain bike trails. All were fun. My wife doesn't ride so I was doing it solo. You can check out some of my videos on my YouTube channel "Halffasthugo" if you're bored and can't sleep. I'm sure I'll be bringing the mountain bike again this year.
  5. Good stuff and thanks for sharing! We have Starlink at home in northern MN and it works awesome! Our OTT is put away for the winter but we were planning on getting the mobile Starlink for next summer as I also do a lot of work on the road. Thanks again!
  6. Our two Tollers (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers), Bob and Cash, are always ready and waiting to go camping or to the brewery. They definitely make us laugh every day and are great travelers once they settle in after the first 20 miles and know it's a longer trip.
  7. No they do not. The bottom four slots are empty and both side have voltage. When I do pull out a fuse from a connected circuit most LEDs do not come on. The ones that do have voltage around 11 or so. The couple of ones that did have the LEDs come on were around 4 volts.
  8. Verified that the multimeter is set up correctly per the owners manual. Thought it was but figured it would be good to double check. I do have the Xantrex 3000. I'll check that in the morning but I seem to recall that I couldn't really see the button being in or out made a difference as I thought there was still a green light on either way. I'll check it out in the morning. Appreciate the input!
  9. Missed that part of the question about being plugged into the meter! I'll double check and follow up.
  10. Didn't make any sense to me. The test meter negative lead is connected to a jumper wire with alligator clips that goes to the negative ground block under the rear dinette seat where most of the negative wires converge. I tested a few other connections just to make sure as it seemed really strange. I even used a jumper wire to the ground block on the back of the DC fuse panel with the same result. Since that bottom terminal has voltage on both sides, I have to believe that it's a bad fuse board. There are LED lights on the fuse board that are supposed to come on if a fuse is burnt out which tells me they should have some voltage feeding them from the board. I'm thinking something is back feeding on that board as there's really nowhere else for the voltage to come from if there's no wire connected to the fuse terminal. Only other possible solution might be a really weird grounding issue somewhere which is why I tried using a jumper wire to the fuse board ground block on the back (which isn't used).
  11. I do have the switch. Disconnected them and get the same thing. I'm assuming that when you say turn off the inverter you're going into standby mode, correct? I've looked at my model in the manual and the power button on the remote says that when it's off, it's in standby mode and the green light is lit which is the case with mine. Shutting off the disconnect gives it the direct battery voltage. I find it hard to believe that the fuse panel would be bad but, you never know. I'll be talking with Oliver service tomorrow and still doing some research. We've had no issues camping with it and everything seems just fine. I just happened to put a volt meter on it when tapping into the panel and was surprised that the load side already had voltage!
  12. LOL! I've kept the Half Fast name as I also have a YouTube channel to capture my mountain biking escapades. The fused load sides with wires connected do have over 13 volts. The load sides with nothing connected have the 11.75 volts. Nothing looks amiss on the back of the panel. I've been camping with it hooked to shore power and not with no issues, so far. I'll shut down the inverter and will have to do some more investigating...
  13. 2021 LE2 with the platinum solar package purchased used earlier this year. I was tying into the DC fuse panel to install a TPMS booster and was just double checking voltage before hooking anything up and adding a fuse. Interestedly enough, there is voltage on each leg of the fuse holders. 11.75 volts on each of the unused load side and just over 13 volts on the feed side of the unused ones. Over 13 volts on all the load sides with fuses in. I've owned and worked on campers and boats for many decades and assumed that the load leg shouldn't have any voltage whatsoever until a fuse is plugged in. However, I'm new to the solar game. I've read through the manual a few times and nothing mentioned in there and I've had no problems with the camper so far. The inverter is on and shore power is not hooked up. Might try plugging in and see what happens next. Questions for the collective minds. Is this normal or is something possibly back feeding or causing a problem somewhere?
  14. THAT, is a sweet set up! As a recovering engineer, I really like it!
  15. Awesome post! We have a friend who did the same on their LE2 with great success. Not sure which fans he used but it's definitely a mod I need to do on my 2021. Appreciate the detail!
  16. Good info and thank you! Yes, one 30A on the outside for guests and one on the inside as well since I'll have a big enough service line to do so.
  17. Starting clearing for our 30'x36' garage a few weeks ago as well! Probably not going to finish it this year before the snow flies here in northern Minnesota though which brings up some other issues. I did secure a winter indoor storage facility for $100/month though and they will let me plug it in which is a bonus! Question for the collective minds though, they only have 15 amp receptacles on the wall and, will that allow it to keep the batteries full and warmed by the battery heaters? The facility is not heated so I'm concerned whether or not I should remove the batteries for the winter as we quite often get below 0F in January and February. 2021 LE2 with the platinum solar package. I will have 24/7 access if need be and will still have to winterize the plumbing systems.
  18. Socialization and training are key. Careful socialization around other dogs may take awhile and be really slow but, they also have to know that you're the leader of the pack and that some behavior will not be tolerated. As also mentioned talk to a professional trainer.
  19. The key is definitely much better than the stamped one. I was always afraid of bending the stamped key or breaking it off. Not so with these. I'll keep them on there and see how it goes. The biggest advantage is a larger more solid key. As mentioned though, nothing to keep someone from prying the door open and tearing up the fiberglass but, it least it keeps out the opportunist thieves.
  20. Here's some pics of the installed locks. They're pretty close to identical and require no modifications whatsoever on my 2021 LE2. I had to get some 1" stainless 8-32 screws and locking nuts but that's about it. I like the keys as they feel much better than the old stamped ones. The locking mechanism on the inside is a little different engineering wise but, no lock will keep out a determined thief anyhow. We'll see how they hold up over time but they look just fine.
  21. All GREAT advice. I'll be 61 this year and consider myself semi-retired as I teach 24/7 (hours per week/months per year) at a local university. My wife is a few years behind me. We just picked up our 2021 LE2 a few months ago but joined the forum several months before that to do some reading and self-education. Do a lot of research and consider how that information applies to you. We started picking up some of the miscellaneous stuff before we even picked up our LE2. I visited the factory and was working on the build list when a 2021 came up for sale that saved me about $25k although, no factory warranty. This is our second travel trailer and is light-years ahead of the Coachmen we used to travel around in. I would tell you to pull the trigger on it sooner rather than later as you can start doing holiday and weekend trips to work out the kinks and learn how you want things to go for you. You can also make sure most big acquisition expenses are taken care of prior to actually retiring. I've towed boats and campers all my life and definitely the tow vehicle is a serious consideration as it can make trips much more peaceful, or more stressful. We have a 3/4 ton diesel but, they're not for everyone. Weigh out your own considerations and charge forward!
  22. I placed an order for two Southco locking compression latches, 7L279, from Great Lakes Skipper. They're on sale for about $13 cheaper than buying them on Amazon which are also supplied by Great Lakes Skipper. It measures out to be the same as on my 2021 LE2 but the key looks to be a little more substantial. Still not going to keep a serious thief out but I do like the key much better than the original stamped ones. We'll see...
  23. A really nice post! This is exactly what I was thinking about doing to haul two bikes by using 1Up USA tray carriers on the aluminum tubes. Looks like it will do exactly what I want given your pictures and the bikes only way about 70 pounds total. Thanks for all of the information!
  24. We pick up our LE II next month. Not sure how it will go with our two Tollers but regardless, it's going to happen! We used to have Chessies but, as they've passed over the last decade, have transitioned to Tollers due to their smaller size (about 40-45 pounds). We spend a lot of time outside so as long as we wear them out it should be good!
