But I’m not laying cables, not picking them up, not cleaning them off, not allowing them to dry, not buying and handling suitcases and “cord handlers” then repeat! We charge our starter and house batteries daily, Same for your phone and laptop batteries. Install the battery charger somewhere convenient, we have ours in the Attic. I ask Chris to swap batteries, one minute later she’s done and the backup is back on the charger. Usually, whoever takes Charley out for a morning outing will change the battery. If I asked her to go outside, good weather or bad, and wind up that friggin’ cord, I would get a look and then have to do it myself. Use the technology, or not, yes it’s your choice! The cable that came with our Mini is still in the box! Do you choose to make a call, with your cell phone only when connected by cord to power? 🤣 Edited August 20 by jd1923 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!

Why? I have long cords, short cords and some in between; charging accessories and adapters if need be; suction cups and magnets for pole and rooftop mounts, or anywhere the satellites can see; all nicely packed away in an emergency communications bug-out-bag near me! My past years of military training and deployments have always kept me thinking contingencies. Better to have it and never need it than need it and not have it. As we use to say prepping for deployments, you don’t want to be left flapping. That is what’s great about the compact Mini, well done, nice pack and kit! 👍🏻 Edited August 20 by Patriot 6 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “XPLOR” TV 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor aka - “Beast of Burden” Retro upgrades - Truma Aventa 13.5 AC, Alcan 5 leaf pack, Alcan HD shackles & HD wet bolts, 5200lb never lube axles. Moderators Mike and Carol Posted August 24 Moderators Posted August 24 (edited) I’ve been plugging the power cord into the outside trailer outlet when on shore power and into a Jackery when not. I just coil the power cable so that it fits in the cut out in my case. The Ethernet cable for the mini router sits in there, too. The dish sits on top. The case was from Amazon, not expensive but got great reviews and has worked well. Cut outs for the mini, mount, power plug, mini router and cables. Shawna and Scott Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Our Mini got to go on its first trip. We recently went to Maine on a short 10 day trip. As many have said, it was a game changer. So easy to setup and use. 5 Vincent, Ohio | 2022 Elite ll, Hull #1182, 2019 Ford F150 3.5L EcoBoost
