Hello. Just a quick question for anybody. I am camping at Cades Cove in Tennessee. There are no hookups here. My freshwater tank is full and I am in the normal valve configuration. I turned the pump on  to pressurize the system and there is a faint clicking noise, but doesn’t sound like it usually does. There is a slight flow of water when I turn on a faucet, but definitely a lot less than usual.I have checked the breakers and fuses. I thought maybe I need to manually prime the pump but of course I don’t think I have the right tools to do that. Any suggestions. Thank you so much!

Lori,

Have you checked your inline water filter which is right down to the left of your pump? Sometimes this filter can get clogged with left over plastic particles from when the fresh water tank is drilled and prepped for plumbing at the factory. You can unscrew that filter and take a look to see if there is any plastic particles in it. We had a little bit of the plastic bits in our filter discovered during our initial shake down. You do not have to manually prime the pump to get it to operate properly.

What year and Hull # is your Oliver? Please list this in your signature area under your profile. This is good information to help members assist you with questions you may have. You may need to replace your water pump, these can fail.

Keep us posted on your progress, others will hopefully chime in with additional troubleshooting thoughts.

Thank you. I have a 2021 Hull number 876. I will add that to my profile. Thank you!  There is no cell service here so I had to come to an area with Wifi. I will go back and take a look at that. Thank you for the suggestion!

Try letting the hot and cold water run for a while. Sometimes when switching from city water to pump we get air in the lines with the same symptoms: faint pump noise and very little flow. If we let both the hot and cold run a bit, usually via the outside shower, it clears up.

Lori:

While you are down there, check that the power is still firmly connected to the pump.  We seem to have more than a few owners with loose power plugin's this year.

I believe that if you see the LED "i am on" light at both the bathroom and above the stove area, then you have power going to the pump.  But if that plug is vibrated a bit loose  the pump may run and then not run depending on what mood the connector is in at that moment.  If it is not firm, pull it apart and for grins check for any corrosion.  A small nail file has helped me out in the past.

If none of the above works -

check for leaks - any water connection (simply wipe your dry hand around each connection you can reach and look to see if there is any sign of water).  This also applies to that filter that Patriot mentions in the first reply above.

Finally - re-check that valve configuration just to make absolutely sure that it is correct and that the valves are fully in the correct positions.

Good luck!

@Lori L yes check those John Guest fittings, we had a loose one.

Make sure the pex tubing is securely into the John Guest fitting until it stops, and then twist the locking nut to secure it in place. These locking nuts can come loose.
