John E Davies
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/2019-chevrolet-silverado-1500-photos-and-info-news I hated the old look, I think this is a huge improvement. I like the lifted model a lot. I wonder if it gets any additional equipment besides suspension... Moderators SeaDawg Posted December 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 16, 2017 Giant step forward in style. Thanks for the link. I love my stepside. Haven't loved any Silverado since that body style was abandoned. At least a few times a year, someone asks me if I would sell it. The answer is always no.. Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted December 16, 2017 Moderator+ Share Posted December 16, 2017 I don't know, I really love the beefy look of the current GMC and Chevrolet pickups. It seems they're just becoming like everybody else. If you wanted that look you could just buy this. John E Davies
Here’s another short article with lots of comments, both praising and deriding the looks...some are funny: If the Yukon and new Acadia and new terrain are any clue, gmcs will continue their newly-found trend of looking like surprised livestock with glitter (LEDs) in their eyelashes. https://jalopnik.com/heres-the-2019-chevrolet-silverado-1821356616 John Davies Spokane WA SOLD 07/23 "Mouse": 2017 Legacy Elite II Two Beds, Hull Number 218, See my HOW TO threads: Tow Vehicle: 2013 Land Cruiser 200, 32” LT tires, airbags, Safari snorkel, Maggiolina Grand Tour 360 Carbon RTT. Moderators topgun2 Posted December 17, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 17, 2017 Its great that we all have choices and as someone said," beauty is in the eye of the beholder". But surely there must be a reason, other than lemmings and/or stupidity, that the F-150 is the best selling truck on the market. And, can anyone explain to me just why it is that when you are driving down the road and see a truck coming towards you with either a driving light or head light out, 90% of the time it is a GM product? Commanche
Yeah, and why are the head light bulbs for my Dodge cost 300 bucks? All the high tech stuff in cars and trucks are making it really expensive when that stuff breaks down. But it is nice, (some of it). John E Davies
Yeah, and why are the head light bulbs for my Dodge cost 300 bucks? HID? If so there are plenty of OEM quality replacements that are way less; here is a Philips. The No Name versions are even cheaper. Don't ever buy stuff at the Stealer unless there is no other recourse. https://www.carid.com/2014-dodge-durango-bulbs/philips-standard-hid-bulbs-367225224.html John Davies Spokane WA 1 SOLD 07/23 "Mouse": 2017 Legacy Elite II Two Beds, Hull Number 218, See my HOW TO threads: Tow Vehicle: 2013 Land Cruiser 200, 32” LT tires, airbags, Safari snorkel, Maggiolina Grand Tour 360 Carbon RTT. Moderators SeaDawg Posted December 17, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 17, 2017 The internet and Google are my best friends. Cost to buy a Head lamp light bulb in the Volvo, at the dealership, $26, plus labor. Cost at Napa, down the street, armed with internet product code, $8. 5 minutes to install. Look it up, and buy local when you can. Because we can still do a lot of minor maintenance, it's still affordable to keep vehicles for ten to fifteen years, or more.
