States Visited Map

Recommended Posts

On another forum, I found a link to a map site. Here, you can create a map colorcoded with the states you've visited with your Oliver....

Go to http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/

Click on the states you've visited in the list, save in the format you like and the size you like, and upload like a normal photo. I added mine to our signature line in user control panel.

I thought it was kind of fun to see where we'd been this year in the Oliver.

Sherry

PS If you don't like this one, google "map states visited" and you'll find a number of other programs to do the same thing.....

Anyone know how 'visited' is typically defined? I assume it means camped/overnighted, not merely driven through?

As far as defining what "visited" means, to us if we have spent all day driving thru a state, we've visited it whether we spent the night or not. If I touch the state line, I've been there. Everyone can feel free to make up their own definition.

Tom, as a group we might just come really close to covering the whole map. Interesting idea.

Awesome idea, Sherry! Just added our map to our signature too.. (of course, who knows if we'll remember to update it as we add more states!)

Someone asked me the other day how to get his map into his sig. Instructions are in the first post of this thread.

Mountainborn, I see you've found another map-making service, and I like the solid color better than the many colors of the one I used. Care to share the link? Thanks.

Thought I would give it a try, found it at :

It seems to respond ok. Was a way for us to look into areas we have little travel experience in. Seems as though we need to work on the corners of the USA !

We agree, especially since we reside in one of those corners!!

Hope to see you in Florida this winter.

Hi, Geronimo,

You are welcome, but Jason recently posted some newer instructions here.

http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/how-to-add-forums-signature-maps/

I clicked on your link, downloaded your photo, and cropped it for you if you want to try the image method mentioned in some discussion further down...

You'll probably  find some hints in the newer discussion.  If not, let me know...
