Pat Maundrell
Easy question, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Does Oliver (LE2) install an "Entry Door Head Pad, to prevent you from hitting your head on the Top of the Door Frame?
Moderators SeaDawg Posted February 20, 2021 Moderators Share Posted February 20, 2021 Yes, and it is covered in the same fabric as your cushions. Most of us call it the head bump cushion. 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. DC compressor fridge. AndrewK
At 6' 5", I found the cushion useless and removed it. (We think it looks a lot better too!) I have only hit my head on the way into the trailer and I hit the part of the door frame that faces down. I have never hit the interior or exterior face frames. AndrewK
John, This was covered in a past post named "Door Window Replacement - Need Window Treatment Idea". Sorry, I don't know how to attach as link to a past post. Let me know if that doesn't cover it. Overland
Odd change. We didn’t get the bumper, since we were getting custom upholstery and that’s part of the package. Like Andrew, I’ve never come close to hitting my head on the way out. But a few times coming in, directly on the edge of the frame . That hurts!
