@shhQuiet, thank you for the videos of Oliver #1405 in use. I enjoyed traveling along, even though my kayaking skills are much more limited!

Our Oliver has been a means to an end... traveling,  adventuring, and our sometimes stationary mountain "summer home" for 16 seasons. 

I  love seeing how others use theirs.

Neat video!

I just spoke with Oliver sales. They still take trailer orders at Oliver Sales and Service, but if you’re in a state that has a dealer, you need to go through a dealer to place your order.  If your state does not have a dealer you can order directly from Oliver. You can still opt for the Oliver experience and take delivery at the Sales and Service Center in Hohenwald.  

You may want to edit your video at the 12:05 minute mark.

Thanks for posting this. Late last year or early this year Steve Landrum posted that he had just received a call from Scott Oliver that moving forward all sales would be through the dealer network.

 

Then, recently someone posted on Facebook they were going to order through the Mothership. I commented that it had to be through a dealer and cut and pasted Steve's Forum post. Almost immediately someone from Oliver posted on Facebook that trailers could still be ordered from the Mothership.

 

It would be nice if there was an official announcement from Oliver. I felt like a Jack A__. 

 

Things must have changed.  Steve posted what came from the his conversation with Scott. 🙃

Perhaps not all locations in the US are covered by dealers.

It's a work in progress, I'm sure.

Ahhh, interesting!  I stand corrected 🙂  I'm sure they are selling at the same price as the dealer so as not to undercut them.  Unfortunately, you can't edit a video once it is posted to youtube, but I will include a comment in a future video that you can still order direct from Oliver (assuming there's not a dealer in your state).  So they let their sales staff go and now they are still selling direct...  🤔

Steve,

Again, not accurate info. Oliver did not let there sales staff go. Oliver still has a sales staff that can and do sell directly from Hohenwald to buyers that do not have a dealership in their state. Anita and Josh are sales reps for Oliver and are still selling Olivers at the Mothership. This info was provided to me by one of the sales staff at Oliver.

As it has been all this year, the process of buying a trailer at this point in time is, shall we say...fluid. That is, it seems like it's always subject to changing. As I currently understand it, if you live in a state that has a dealer and you seek to buy a trailer, you will be directed to that dealer. If your resident state does not have a dealer, you have the option of going to a dealer of your choice, or you can contact Hohenwald and buy it there.

None of Oliver's sales staff has been "let go". A few weeks ago, I was at the factory and I believe I 'overheard' they were looking to hire a new sales person. There has been some positional movements within the middle management staff and a new Service Manager is now in place, another Jason, last name Ballentine.
