  3. Least we not forget - virtually all of our Olivers still have the Oliver name at the "third brake light " position. As this discussion lingers on I would hope that everyone would re-read my post in this very thread from this past Saturday at 2:38pm. We are working on finding the real and complete story on the situation with decals. I will post back here when I have answers. Again, please be patient during this process. Bill
  4. Why would a for-profit company forego having their name and logo on what they are producing? Makes no sense. In fact, IMHO, they could be charging a fee for leaving the graphics off since it is reducing their advertising and name recognition.
  5. Sorry for the tire issue but at least you had a level spot and help when you needed it. I have steel valves and have never had a problem with them. However, for anyone considering a change to these valves it should be done with the knowledge that the steel valves are simply not as "forgiving" as the rubber valves are when they are bent or hit with something hard. I certainly had to consider this fact when I changed to the steel because I travel over a bunch of dirt and/or two track roads every summer. Even a sage brush could possibly be enough to bend or break one of these valves let alone a rock. Of course, that same brush or rock could possibly damage a rubber valve but .... Bill
  6. I started looking into the Victron stuff, but that's on the back burner for now. If you saw a picture of my garage, you'll notice I don't have garage doors, electrical, or the built out workout area that I told my wife about 🙂 Yesterday, we had a crew out here working on the outdoor cement aprons. Got the dug out and framed. Next is the concrete pour. Garage doors are getting installed in a few weeks and I'll probably put a EG4 inverter and a 48v battery in with a few solar panels for now.
  7. No Oliver logo on the nose would look really strange! We ordered our 2023 naked, and added our own graphic. We've had a lot of people ask what a "Curiosity" trailer was. We've heard "Is that some kind of Casita?", or the guy in Florida who looked it over rally well walking by, but wasn't inclined to chat. He returned the next day to tell me that he'd looked up Curiosity trailers, and that it was a really expensive trailer! No Oliver logo on the nose would certainly seem to cut down on random inquiries and potential sales! Here's a Curiosity brand trailer next to an Oliver at the Hungry Mother Fiberglass Rally. You can barely tell the difference! 🤣
  8. I've not acted on advice to switch to steel valve stems while using our TST tire pressure monitor. Yesterday, that procrastination bit me in the ass on my way home from the Hungry Mother Fiberglass Rally in Virginia. Rapid Pressure Loss" or similar wording was what the monitor said with a constant loud beeping. A quick look in my mirror showed the front left trailer tire was indeed low. Stopped to check, and with 28 PSI showing, I elected to slowly drive to the next exit, and found a flat spot in a gas station lot. The rubber valve stem was partially separated from the rubber base, and if flexed, dumped out pressurized air. No fixing that on the spot! Time to change tires. I have all the tools needed, and it was a cool sunny day, so that was a bit of luck. It had been raining a few hours earlier. I didn't have my impact driver with me, but I do have an 18" breaker bar, so I could loosen the lug nuts. Before jacking up and removing the tire, though, it was time to get the spare. Two heavy e-bikes made this a chore, but fortunately, that's when a large fellow stopped and offered to help. (Oddly enough, the local deputy sheriff who was using the facilities at the station never even checked to see if we needed anything on his way out of the parking lot.) With his help, we slid the rack and mount out far enough to get to the spare. His impact driver made for a faster swap than my breaker bar, and his torque wrench was easier to get to than mine buried in the trailer's basement. All in all, about an hour and a bit delay, and the kind gentleman who stopped to help refused any remuneration. - I usually only carry the impact driver with me on long trips. And while this was about an eight hour drive, I'd elected not to bring it with me. It will now be included in every trip. - I'll be removing the bike rack mount and cleaning those surfaces and applying a dry lube to make it easier to slide the rack in and out. After we were done, I was really re-thinking John Davies choice to not use the fiberglass tire cover while toting bicycles! - I will be changing to all steel valve stems before we leave on our next trip!
  9. Next, we'll have to get you into a Victron Multiplus II with PowerAssist! I've used ours a couple of times when on 15A shore power connections. From Victron: PowerAssist – Extended use of generator or shore current: the inverter/charger “co-supply” feature, allowing the inverter/charger to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is often required only for a limited period, the inverter/charger will make sure that insufficient AC mains or generator power is immediately compensated for by power from the battery. When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.
  10. Most likely, they may not have the big swoosh graphic files if they shopped those out to a specialist. If they did their graphics and decals in-house, then the person who used to do them must have left without any knowledge sharing. My assumption is that the folks at their headquarters don't have the graphics or computer skills to reproduce them... it's not hard, if you know how to recreate them 🙂 Maybe I should sell them the files they need to recreate them, but after seeing what they wanted to charge me, I'd be less inclined to do that.
  11. I was told by OTT that they did not have decals, nor the artwork, so perhaps they cannot add graphics anymore if they wanted to.
  12. And, if they're only coming "naked" now, they should probably stop advertising the new models with front and side graphics. Or maybe they're just now an upcharge on new models?
  13. Slight update. I'm waiting for a thermostat, but I also found the Dometic control box that Ron posted a bit cheaper on https://thervsurplus.com/search?q=Dometic™+OEM+3316230.700+(9600024570)&options[prefix]=last so I ordered one. We're going on a weekend trip and I don't think I'll have either of them hooked up, so maybe next week. Buttoned up the AC unit for now. Works great and it's quiet. I tried to power it with my Honda EU2000 generator, but it didn't turn on. Thought it might, but no bueno. PXL_20251028_001654190.mp4
  14. Thanks CRM for the measurement. I made a graphics file for the front and side decals. Now I just need to find a print shop to print them 🙂
  15. One should not have to pay for their advertising, at least not that much!
  16. Excellent points! I find the installed screen door crossbar most useful when opening and closing the combined door assembly; ease in pushing open from within rather than having hand on the actual door handle, and ease in closing for the same reason. It is definitely not designed for weight-bearing, but rather balance assist upon egress and ingress. On the other hand the installed closet door bar is solidly mounted, very sturdy, within easy reach and thus, provides a second grab bar, especially when entering. Previously I would reach out to the bath door frame and/or the counter edge at the microwave for that extra pull up and into. My wife however, being shorter and weaker always struggled upon entry and now, we both find this a viable solution for an easier and safer entry. When positioning the closet door grab bar, I made certain she approved the height more to her benefit than mine; she was elated with the outcome, especially since she has a bad shoulder. Happy wife ……..!

  20. One big naked egg! I can only see doing that for those who want their own custom graphics, like many here have done. I only want our Oliver to look like what Oliver produced when it was new. Crazy for an organization to lose their own artwork!
  21. Wow! 🤣
  22. I called Oliver last week wanting to get a set of the newer side text graphics, but they quoted $345.13 for just the two Oliver Legacy Elite II graphics, so I declined. My current trailer only has the front graphic, which measures 27" wide. I'd like to put the side Oliver text graphic on. Can someone measure the width of that text decal and let me know how wide that is? From what I can guess, that text is the size of the storage door, which is about 29". I may just create the graphics file and have a local shop print them.
  23. No graphics are currently included on a new build. This is in response to many of the latest buyers requesting the trailers be delivered naked. So there you go.
  24. I may be wrong but, at some point someone’s brother in law or cousin had a graphic design shop in town and were the ones making the vinyl decals for Oliver. They very well may still have the original design programs. If you google vinyl decal companies in Hohenwald you might come up with something. Contact them and ask. Couldn’t hurt.
  25. Those marker lights are one of the reasons I was able to buy Hull 45. Someone had put a deposit down on it ahead of me but they pulled out quick after a few people commented on the FB ad that it wasn't a real Oliver due to those lights and other features. I contacted Oliver with the VIN and they confirmed it was genuine. Got lucky!
  26. Nice mod - I never thought about putting a bar on the closet door. Another thing that should be mentioned - The bar on the screen door is great for catching the entire door assembly in the event that the wind catches it. However, no matter how it is attached to the screen door the fact remains that the screen door itself is made from rather light weight aluminum. Anyone that places a bunch of weight on that door risks either the catch bar being ripped out of the mounting screws or brackets or (worse yet) the door frame becoming bent. I always try to tell people that are unfamiliar with this issue to please use the Oliver installed grab bars if they feel they need the extra support while entering/exiting the Ollie. Bill
  27. I should mention that the two bars were staggered to enable the closet door to be opened as much as possible and positioned as to not interfere with the closet door latch. Here’a a couple of pics:
  28. That is correct, only DC control wires to the furnace were used to operate it. I did not like the standard Suburban mechanical thermostat supplied with my Atmos from SDG. I tend to forego cheap and easy over a better option, but that’s just me. Nice garage, you got this!
