  1. Past hour
  2. I get that. On the other hand, I had to replace the lock anyway, so keeping in mind resale, I decided to upgrade to the keyless entry lock which many people like. When I sold my previous camper, the buyer told me that all the accessories that I had added was a key factor in their purchase. Plus the lighted keypad looks really cool! 😂
  3. Today
  4. John, I am interested but wont be able to pick up until this Winter when I am back in AZ. Please PM me the details along with measurements between the legs going back into the bumper brackets and the square tube o.d. I doubt they changed over the years but best to be safe).
  5. @Colin are the shirts cotton or a blend?
  6. If anybody would like to buy an OEM 2” receiver, at a reasonable cost, I have one removed from ours. Shipping would not be reasonable, so keep it in mind for anybody visiting AZ, going to Quartzsite this winter, etc.
  7. We wanted to make you aware of what appears to be a conflict regarding reservations for site 61. We made our reservation for the rally this morning (18 September) and were assigned to site #61. However, the Rally spreadsheet from 3 September shows a different Oliver in that site already. We called the park directly and they confirmed that the reservation for site 61 for 20-22 Oct is in our name. Not sure how you want to proceed?
  8. I have reviewed various forum posts addressing use of a 1UP bike rack with an Oliver Elite II rear hitch receiver. The threads I found discuss modifying the Oliver standard 1.25" receiver to accept a 1UP bike rack with a 2" shank, but I could find no threads addressing use of a 1UP Quik Rack (which comes compatible with a 1.25" receiver) in a standard Oliver 1.25" rear hitch receiver. Does anyone use a 1UP Quik Rack (which works for me because I only need to carry one bike) with the standard Oliver 1.25" rear hitch receiver? If so, what is your experience?
  9. Terry and Steve Pate would like to add ourselves to the event. Please add us to the spreadsheet. Data entry: hull 1431, (no name), site#61, P8SOliver2, El Paso, TX BBQ-yes, Potluck Maybe. Arriving on the 20th, not sure of the time. We called park reservations on 18 Sep, and we told there were still 1 site (#72) plus an ADA site Looking forward to meeting everyone
  10. Thanks! Boise is the closest metro area to our rural home in central Idaho, so we are among the beneficiaries of your thoughtful post. Great to know!
  11. @Dennis and Melissa Your 3rd picture looks like you are very close to the Prince of Wales hotel! Are you staying at the Waterton Townsite campground? Mossey
  12. @ScubaRx forgot to mention his trick about leaving a piece of string trimmer line in the rear port side corner for future wire pulls! Mossey
  13. Welcome As 2019 year owners we are willing to help with questions you may have. see our blog about our unit 505 4-ever-hitched.com Craig
  14. Welcome, from hull #12, 2008. Hoping for you that you live yours as much as we've loved ours. 17 years is a long and fun run . Enjoy every minute.
  15. Yesterday
  16. 2+ years for me and still haven't yet gotten to your #4. I've done all the others except been waiting on A/C since we try to be 3-season campers, stay home during summer. Hoping this new year a great new inverter-compressor A/C model hits the market! If we needed A/C today, I would purchase the Turbro Greenland, still on sale for $1,200. Go Greenland if you want to run A/C off batteries/inverter, go Tosot if you want super-quite and if you can afford Truma, many here vouch for it, but must be dealer installed. https://www.turbro.com/products/greenland-13500-btu-inverter-rv-air-conditioner-with-heat-pump Cave Creek - cool, we're neighbors! We often stay at the Maricopa County Regional Parks during Jan-Feb just for a quick get-away warmer weather. Been to Cave Creek Regional Park a couple times, will get up to the Horny Toad for some fried chicken and it's close to everything in Scottsdale and the NE Valley. Maybe we could meet up this winter. Many Oliver owners go to Quartzsite during Jan-Feb too! We should revisit this year to meet up with Oliver friends!
  17. Hopefully you will never need this, but I would like to recommend a fiberglass repair shop in the Pacific Northwest. Chapman Boat Repair, Inc. (208-323-2484) does fiberglass repairs for many of the local boat dealers. Chapman just did a warranty crack repair in the hitch platform (below the doghouse), which involved grinding out the crack area, reinforcing it with fiberglass, spraying gelcoat, and sanding and buffing the gelcoat. No spray paint was used, which does not age like the rest of the trailer's fiberglass and will eventually stand out. The resulting repair and color match is perfect. I heartily recommend Chip Chapman should you ever be in need of fiberglass work.
  18. I was finally able to run the cable. I had to fish from the bottom up, just couldn't get past something between the hulls working from the top. Thanks for the help. Tony
  19. Ha, well almost. Day 1, buy trailer. First to do was get a new water heater installed. Had that done today. Next on list, new Alcan suspension. Buff and ceramic coat the exterior. Possible future upgrades: larger solar panels and more battery capacity. new AC? but will see how much we use the Dometic. I've read all the bad things about how loud it is. I asked the Truma tech while he was installing the hot water heater how much a new Truma AC would cost. He though in the $3-4,000. Maybe we can live with it the way it is, maybe not... My method is get the really big stuff done, so it's not some emergency that ruins an otherwise good time away from home. Those are few and far between, so I'd rather the expensive big projects get done asap.
  20. Nice! Big step forward. We have really liked the Truma Aquago. Customizing before you even use it! It is your first TT so give yourself some grace as you learn how to use it and tow with it. Luckily Olivers tow extremely well.
  21. Thanks all for the warm welcome. Today was step two; getting a new Truma AquaGo Comfort installed. The previous owner had removed the original because it didn't work. We now have on demand hot water!
  22. Thanks for the suggestion @Ray Kimsey. I'll go out and give it a try. The VIctron came with a long data cable so I don't think I'll need a longer one but I'll see. Thanks @ScubaRx. That's good to know! Tony
  23. The rear port side corner is the only top to bottom wire chase that exists.
  24. When I did this I had to purchase a 16' extension for the HDMI and USB cables (Amazon) which was just long enough for my needs.
  25. We live near bozeman, mt and had our dometic ac removed snd replaced it with an atmos. Used it a lot this summer. Super quiet and we are very happy now
  26. I tried also. There does appear to be an obstruction. I ran the cable along the back of the cabinet to the rear of the trailer and then ran it down and under the basement and over to where I installed the cerbo gx. Was very easy to let it pass down in the rear.
  27. Congratulations!! I am sure you and your wife will have years of fun and excitement with your Ollie. The folks on this forum will bend over backwards to help - I know this first hand!! What's that old saying...the only stupid question is the one unasked 😀
