  1. Going back to the title, we would have liked another AC outlet on either the front or preferably the right side of the stove. Then another on the street side towards the front from the storage compartment because most of the outside work goes on right there. We turned the fold down door into a level light weight work table. The pantry is the only cabinet without a light and it could really use one :)

  2. How'd ya like Helen? Of course you can not say that you've been to Helen back. How'd you like those roads around Banner Elk? Generally they are not very wide and most have a few curves in them. Anything north of Interstate 40 gets a bunch more snow during the winter as compared to places like Brevard. However, it is really the ice that causes problems and the fact that many of these mountain towns do not have appropriate snow removal equipment. Depending on the direction you are heading next, Mount Mitchell (the highest point east of the Mississippi River) is worth a quick stop. Boone is a college town and Asheville is called the "Paris of the South". If you "do" Asheville and have the time and money (it will take you virtually all day and the admission fee is something north of $60 each), the Biltmore house is the Oliver of homes. Bill

  3. We left the Oliver Rally and headed for Helen, GA. We had a nice site at Unicoi State Park just 2 miles from Helen - a very nice park. While there we had a very friendly camping neighbor. He asked where were headed next and I told him we were going to a COE campground near Boomer, NC just north of Wilkesboro, NC. His reaction was the same that we got from Topgun when we told him. Not the best area and not much to do there. Our Helen neighbor lives in Banner Elk, NC. He offered us a parking spot next to his business on the edge of town. 50a Electric and water, he sometimes parks his RV here. After a night in our COE campground, we drove up to Banner Elk and are now camped next to his business. What a great site! Banner Elk motto: "Ski Capital of the South". You do meet interesting folks while camping! Mike

  4. Bill, I've gone ahead and installed all five new wheels on my trailer. Not that that was necessary, but I already had them and they have new tires on them. They are the star wheels I showed a picture of earlier. Rated for 3200 lbs each and no pressure limit given. Same 16 X 7 size with a very slight offset difference that works well. Same nuts and center caps. I think I like the look of the originals more, in spite of the fake rivets, but these are better wheels. Looking at the load chart for the Michelins you posted, and thanks for that, it seems that even at 40 PSI they are rated to carry 1650 lbs each. Times 4 would be 6600 lbs total. Way more than an LE2 weighs. 40 PSI seems low to me and I've got mine currently at 60 where they "look" about right. The spare is an interesting situation. As you know, the spare is a smaller size on the stock LE2 up to about hull number 200. Well, it's not just one size smaller, it's a 205/70/16 on the same size wheel and it's not E rated. Lower aspect and smaller size, with a standard load rating instead of E. So, I'm sure it's fine to get to the tire store, but not fine for a long trip out of the desert, for instance. Turns out, a full sized tire will mount up just fine on the rear mount and I now have one mounted there. The problem is that the fiberglass cover will not fit and cannot easily be made to fit. So, I have decided to run a soft cover on mine.

  5. This is exactly how we shower. No issues. Mike And I thought that Mike promised to not tell exactly how "we" showered.

  6. Mike, Sounds like you camped at Bandits Roost Campground? We Kayak there and plan to take a motorcycle for two up twisty riding next trip. Agree, never know who you may be talking to while camping. Posted this photo here last year of a camping trip to Glacier NP MT with our previous aluminum CampLite camper a few years ago. One morning a nice fellow was looking at the camper and showed him the all aluminum structure. Took his photo with Debbie, Jungle Jack Hanna:

  7. Thank you for your advice. I am no stranger to sewing cushions. I have recovered many camper cushions. I even made new tent ends for a 1970 Apache pop up camper. lol If I have time, Id prefer to do them myself. Here is what I did to our 1984 Uhaul

  8. The doors are not standard. The round access port is standard. I use the doors to for easy access to the the water pump valves (curbside) and the rear of the basement storage compartment ( nightstand door). The were $175 each.

  9. Brandi I suggest you contact Anita at the Oliver sales office and request the name, contact information of the upholstery company in Mississippi. This gentleman is very easy to work with. He will have all of the templates for all of your cushions. We chose our own fabric at a fabric store then had it shipped to Mississippi. He can make you the covers for your cushions and send them to you. Since he has the templates, they will fit much better than you taking them to a local upholstery shop. Another note. It is important you buy the right fabric. I worked in a sewing factory and have my own heavy duty (upholstery) sewing machine. My point is not all upholstery material will be suitable for cushions. Some will rip, crawl, or come apart. I got a swatch of material and sent it to Mississippi. He checked the material and call me back saying it was good material. Give him a call before you have covers made.
