@MAX Burner, Maybe it’s time to try making espresso shots with your favorite Black Rifle coffee and really make that half-cup of Joe work a little harder. Mossey7 points

Welcome Thomas, what is your hull#? Anyway, here are a couple posts about Nature’s Head install in Oliver.5 points

Hello all mew owner of the first Oliver sold new in Canada. Looking forward to a 10K trip planned in late May early June. I’m wondering if any one out there has done post delivery Natures Head install on the LEII. If so would appreciate some tips. Thomas J3 points

We had our Truma burner unit replaced yesterday. Oliver is only getting 15-20+/- burner replacements every 3-4+ weeks. It is going to be a long process. As their letter stated you can get it done by an approved Truma repair company and Oliver will reimburse you. Oliver was very proactive on this and unfortunately a number of Owners have been disrespectful to Oliver Service. Just hook up and go camping. Things will get done.2 points

After 7 years, the CO/propane detector needed replacement. The alarm stayed on and wouldn’t reset. Got on Amazon and ordered the one linked below, perfect fit. Says to replace every 5 years. 2 min. Job. Even came with its own quick connects. I know there are previous posts about this, just thought I would update with a new one since this topic will be coming up for others soon. OOPS: When I reread Art's post, I realized i was climbing the wrong tree. Massive delete of what was below needed as a result. My bad..... Art was focusing on the bathroom RETURN AIR to the furnace when it is running. I was addressing the natural convection concept for the wardrobe closet and forced cabin air movement into and out of the bathroom to the below decks area. My bad. GJ One thought for the extreme cold weather campers: If I were one, I would install the vents as suggested above plus a 4" fan to move air from the bathroom into the inter-hull area. This would ensure continuous air flow from the cabin via three or more vents and would ameliorate the bathroom temperatures swing between furnace cycles. I would likely power the fan through a thermostat to auto on the fan at a desired temperature, and with a manual on/off switch and fuse of course. This and the suggested vents would be a good "Cold Weather Option" for OTT to consider. GJ1 point

Same here. We received our "Halos" from Mopeka a couple years ago and they have kept that typical "paint-rub" & oxidation from happening on the bottom of the propane bottle rack.1 point

Concur, John! Unfortunately, we only bought 3 vents (last spring) -- since then, we've come to the same conclusion you and others have described for addressing the "hot box" in hotter WX conditions. Now that we're on a roll, the 4th return vent will likely find its way into the upper closet door bulkhead sooner than later!1 point

So, we finally got around to doing exactly what Dave's describing here and what other owners have mentioned in different threads. We've experienced the closet "meat locker" syndrome several times during cold weather trips. We stopped opening the closet door in the morning to keep the arctic blast of cold air from entering the main cabin. Started this project by installing the first of 3 return vents in the closet door bulkhead just below the jam: ABOVE: Measured the height above the floor of the furnace outputs (4.25") so this return vent would match. ABOVE: Cut the bulkhead with the trusty 4" hole-saw. ABOVE: Used the thickness of the cut-off to trim back the excess material on the stock Valterra vent ABOVE: Used a bead of clear silicon to secure return vent to gelcoat. Next, installed a second return vent between the closet and under the sink: ABOVE: View from under the sink ABOVE: View from inside the closet. Placed the return vent between the two lower shelves. Finally, installed the 3rd return vent under D's forward dinette seat into the bathroom bulkhead: ABOVE: View from under the forward dinette seat looking into the bath area ABOVE: View of return vent which was placed as low and as Portside as possible. The Casablanca has fairly decent furnace output flow in the bath and we have yet to modify the forced air ducts (on the "to-do" list) as @jd1923 JD has described in other threads. Our thought is that the return vents will allow for air to better circulate between the closet, under the sink, and under the forward dinette. We're hoping that this new air flow should aid in keeping the closet "meat locker syndrome" at bay. We'll see....1 point

I have the 390 AH option and have run my trailer for four days without additional power. It was cloudy and rainy. We used the microwave, coffee pot morning and night, and had the tv on for several hours. By the end of the four days, the batteries were down to 30%, if I remember correctly. In the hottest temps of Texas summer, I have run my Truma AC off of the batteries and I believe it ran for 3 hours before I shut it off and the batteries were about 50%. I would have to do that test again to verify because I wasn't paying too much attention to the details. I also opted not to get the Platinum primarily because it was somewhere around $15000. That is some crazy money for something that can be done much cheaper DIY. I got the pro for the 3000 watt inverter and the 390s work for me until we need new batteries then I will definitely upgrade to 600+.1 point

You are correct on $$. We like to throw them in on trips so we can do laundry. Much rather drop stuff at the laundry and head to the pool. No desire to sit in a Laundromat 🙃. If we want to spend time in a city, many KOA's are closer. We don't really like regular RV Parks. In 15 years we have stayed at maybe 3. Angle Fire RV Resort (Angle Fire, NM) was a treat, but expensive. It is nice being pampered and we will be back. We will definitely go back.1 point

When flying solo with Ollie, it is more of a challenge to find a stop for the night without prior planning. I for sure know where all the Interstate Rest Stops and free federal lands are along the way. That helps especially out west. However with my spouse on board, it is a LOT easier. I drive she finds the options based on how long we want to travel that day. In the mountains where snowmobiles run there are lots of huge parking lots near trail heads, with near zero people there during non-snow months. Another option for sure. GJ1 point

Welcome from Hull #1045, Jolli Olli. Oliver doesn't customize individual trailers. Oliver does offer a composting toilet, and installing a different manufacturer is not going to happen through Oliver. I think I would live with the sink. Sleeping is about the only thing we do so the sink tank wouldn't even be on our radar to change. Solar and lithium battery upgrades above the Platinum will be on you. The fresh, gray, and black tanks go in every trailer. Some have shared their mod to pipe their composting toilet urine container to the black tank so they don't have empty multiple times in a day. One owner switched out their composting toilet to another brand and had to drive to that dealer to get things changed Not sure about when the soft start was added as standard with the Truma AC, either '24 or '25. At the Texas Oliver Rally Truma was present and they spent over 2 days adding the soft start to Owners that had the Truma AC added in '23 and '24. Keep asking away. We are all a family.1 point

So, we've decided to do this one way or another. Don't need a microwave, as I can reheat my coffee on the stovetop and save the carcinogens of microwaves! Chris says they kill the nutrients in all foods, so she doesn't use one ever in all of her amazing cooking. Measured our small model Emeril Air Fryer and it is the exact same dimensions, all measurements of length, width and height. Yeah, there is a heat issue that I mean to overcome. Yanked the microwave out of our hull in about 20 minutes today. Connected the Emeril and ran the air fryer at 375 for 16 minutes today. It got hot in the end, but there is 4 1/2" above the oven and 2 1/2" left and right (thermostat wiring to the right). I will need to raise it about 3/4" to fit the surround, but otherwise fits like a glove. I will cut some plastic off each side for the heat. I plan to fit the opening top and side with ceramic insulation made for woodburning stoves which comes in many thicknesses. I am wondering re OTT installed convection ovens. Anybody have one? Is there any exterior venting? Hey @bugeyedriver, you wrote on Dec 19, 2023 "The Wonder Egg - Hull #14, has extra vents in the side walls behind the oven, so I have gone to the micro/conv. option." Can you show pics of this venting. This will be a fun mod for me, and Chris will love it when she gets back from her sisters visit! Check out this pic after an hour of work today!1 point

We're using the microwave (until it goes Tango Uniform) for D's movie night popcorn - which occurs around 7pm, every day. The air fryer lives on the floor of the closet - I'm certain the AF will land in the MW garage eventually. Cook On, All!1 point
