  1. I didn't want to struggle moving the mattress every time we needed to turn the water/pump valves for filling our water tank while boondocking so I asked Oliver to install an access door. It required them to move a duct for the furnace but they did it. In my opinion it should be a standard option but is not listed in the build sheets. It works great I highly recommend getting it. We also had an acesss door placed under the nightstand for easier access to the far end of the basement storage. I think it will be handy.

  2. They started incorporating the access hatch when more people asked about it to reach just the gravity drain valve easily for breakdown, so I believe it is now standard, asking for anything else just gets you more in addition.

  3. Ya it's funny, all the DC is nice and quiet, whether on generator or inverter turn on AC power and everything does a little "checking in process" I'm here, I'm here, me too.. I like the R2D2 comparison.

  4. Our inverter doesn't make any noise. We don't have the satellite dish so I'm not sure what that sounds like. Mike

  5. After a trip west where gasoline stations were scarce at times I bought two of the Sceptre gas cans based on Steves experience. Instead of the purpose made $35 wrench needed to tighten and remove the caps I just use a strap wrench. I did buy the special filler spout. These cans do not smell or leak. They are in my truck bed at all times. I put a multi fuel carb on my Honda Genset and carry a 20 pound tank back there as well.

  6. We enjoyed the rally too. It was a good mix of social, technical and learning. Great support from the Olivers and their great employees. Thanks to Coy for all his coordination work. Mike

  7. On our factory tour some time ago, there was a unit set up with a generator and Robert cranked it up for us so we could see how loud it was. When he did, the inverter started making a high pitched whine that was so annoying that I had to ask him to turn it off. Interestingly, it didn't bother my wife as much and Robert said that he couldn't hear it at all. But to me it was like an icepick to the ear.
