Was talking to a folks today who have been workamping at Grand Teton for last 4 years and the deductions he mentioned were NUMEROUS, mileage to and from and while there, food, campsite (he's paid by check by a concessionaire vs campsite swap) and best advise was to check with a tax person in the state you file taxes in. APRIL 09' JUG FISHING CAMPOUT INVITATION
tumbleweed replied to mountainborn's topic in Events & Rallies
Do we have a list of potential and/or 'fursuregonnago' folks fir this here shindig?? Oscar n' his chauffer Pete were just thru here and hopefully they will meet us here in Apalachicola,FL to caravan up. Planned date of departure is the 4th but may be delayed a day or two. Arrival to be twixt the 8th n 10th. Anything that the PhunnyPharm inhabitants can contribute???? Hope to see all soon, Chuck Geri n critters. -
Hi there noneoftheabove! Got our RockTamers after I got a 1 1/2" chunk out of the front of my hitch platform. Luckily, SeaDawg had "outgrown" theirs (went to a beautiful Dodge Hemi 4x4) from their now lucky daughters Chevy. They seem to keep front of the Phunny Pharm MUCH cleaner and no more chips. We've been giving some thought to the 22'er Oliver.......but haven't seen one yet. Love our 17'er!! Chuck n Geri

Making it last indefinitely
tumbleweed replied to derangedhermit's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Having gone to a few fiberglass trailer rallies, it is remarkable to see how well they stand up ! A little care and/or restoration and they look like new . Stickies just don't handle age well . -
Saw Bugeyedrivers backup camera tonite and it's really nice ! $$ but is really cool !!

Hi Sherry! We did get the screen room that was on another thread but haven't used it yet. It has no floor so we will use the floor from Sewing Susan(casita Forum) but this will not be mosquito proof ! Espscially in Alaska! But shud do well in NM. Alaska mosquitoes and no see ums are VERY aggresive. Good Luck! Chuck n Geri

Making it last indefinitely
tumbleweed replied to derangedhermit's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
A once a year wax job is my recommendation for exterior. Replace anode rod in hot water heater once a year and wheel bearing and brakes should be checked at least yearly. You will find yourself checking out your Oliver on a steady basis as you use it. The factory does need a mx sked in owners manual as well as a wiring diagram. Depending on your resisence, winter mx is needed also. Fiberglass trailers will last a longer time than "stickies" because mx is so easy to do. Chuck -

We got the RCA 1500 and finally got it hooked up but trying to make it neater looking. It works pretty well but have no way to compare to the 1400. Didn't want the amplified one as it needed power.

Schematic or Wiring Diagram?
tumbleweed replied to technomadia's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Hi Chris ! Don't know of a schematic, the factory really needs to post at least a basic one. There is so many custom installs that it is gonna' be tough to be all inclusive. But so many folks are adding little lites n doodads that we need a basic schematic.
