  1. Welcome to the family. As you wait our Blog has lots of info on various gear, upgrades, solar, and campgrounds visited . The link is at the bottom of our signature below. https://4-ever-hitched.com/trips-overview
  2. Final Verdict - NO Go on Door Core Replacement. After buying and trying to replace the door core *which Lippert said should be an easy fit, I have bad news. The new door core when installed was out of alignment by about 1/4" even though we meticulously measured and remeasured the placement of the holes for the hinges. I reinstalled the old door and it fits perfectly fine and I'll be doing some re-taping of the ugly cracks. It appears perhaps the event that triggered the start of cracking may have also bent the hinges just enough that they no longer fit for a new perfect door. Oliver has suggested that the best action is to drill out and replace the full door and frame. (Back to the $1600 cost and I will consider having Oliver do a full door and frame replacement when I go back for factory service this fall.) The new door core has brand new latches, new windows etc. If anyone else needs a door core let me know as it's NOT returnable. I could bring it to the rally or keep it as a part's door for the window and door latch. By the way, these door cores are constructed by laminating together the outer skin, and inner skin with glue which is also used on the edge channel of the door. So you cannot simply pull out the core of the panel and swap into the old door frame. So much for saving money on the repair. Craig
  3. None are perfect for all uses. We came very close to buying an airstream 23' with twin front beds but the price back in 2019 was $95K compared to about $72K for our loaded OEII. We chose Oliver over Airstream after the local person who showed us their Oliver stated...they had sold their Airstream due to leaking rivets after driving on a few rough roads. Upon looking at the Airforum pages, many people were complaining at that time of rivet issues and leaks causing floor rot. Anyone happened to see a recent KYD episode where Mark was having to replace Airstream rivets that had fallen out because they towed on a gravel road? Cheers
  4. They are called grommets. Door-Mounted Holder Grommet: 5/16" Inside Diameter (ID) with a 7/16" Groove/Drilled Diameter. Body-Mounted Holder Grommet (Approximate): 6mm (.235") Inside Diameterwith an 8.7mm (.343") Groove Diameter and a 16mm (.631") Outside Diameter Ace Hardware or and hardware store has grommets but also you can likely find on Amazon.
  5. In our 2019 E2 we have reverse polarity fuses.
  6. I think there may be a blown reverse polarity fuse: from ai search In an Oliver Legacy Elite I trailer, a reverse battery fuse (often labeled as a reverse polarity fuse) acts as a sacrificial safety shield to protect the trailer's electrical system if the house batteries are connected backward. [1, 2] How It Works Instant Disconnection: If the positive and negative battery cables are accidentally swapped during installation, a massive surge flows backward. The reverse polarity fuses instantly blow to break the circuit. [1, 3] Downstream Component Protection: By blowing immediately, they stop the reverse current from frying sensitive onboard electronics, such as the WFCO power converter, the Xantrex or Freedom XC inverter, circuit boards, and 12V appliances. [1, 2, 3] What Happens When It Blows? No 12V DC Power: The trailer will immediately lose all 12-volt battery power (lights, water pump, jack, etc.). No Battery Charging: Even if you plug the trailer into shore power, the Oliver power converter will not charge the house batteries because the path between them is physically blocked by the blown fuses. [1, 2, 4, 5] Where to Find It In the Oliver Elite I, these are typically two high-amperage (usually 30A or 40A) blade fuses located directly on the face or side of the main 12V DC distribution panel/power center. They sit slightly separated from the smaller individual branch circuit fuses. [1, 2, 3, 4] If you need to replace them, ensure the battery cables are corrected first, or the new fuses will pop instantly upon contact. [1, 2] If you are currently troubleshooting an electrical issue, please share: Are you getting power from shore power but not the battery? Have you recently swapped or disconnected your batteries? Are there any error codes showing on your solar controller or inverter display? AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses
  7. Check out the Oliver Outfitters guide: Oliver Outfitters Guide on Amazon also look over our travel web page for camping reviews and blog posts 4 Ever Hitched Blog also found at the bottom of our signature below.
  8. Back to a factory direct sales model. We officially showed ours about 30 times and helped close 12 sales. Maybe they’ll restart the owner referral program again.
  9. Factory has changed stoves several times. I'm assuming your stove has a different grate system.
  10. I just finished updating my blog pages to include some parts that have become hard to find for our older 2019 Elite II. I've been maintaining this guide for 3 years and many parts and equipment specific to Oliver EI and EII trailers are included. For example...the grommets for the stove that were used in many trailers from 2019-2024 or so.. I listed them in the Oliver Outfitters guide in both the "Oliver Outfitters" main page and in the Kitchen Gear sub category as shown below: Here's the link to the overall page: Oliver Outfitters Guide on Amazon Full Disclosure for Moderators and Viewers: I do make a small amount if people by off this page, it's averaged $3/month...so not big beans. Mostly I'm trying to chronicle parts, pieces, gear that is used or needed by many Oliver Owners. Craig
  11. Welcome from another 2019 owner (in Washington State) . Craig
  12. As is the south loop of Kalaloch CG in Olympic National Park ...where some bright summer crew member sent to repaint arrows, made a mistake. People have just had to live with the result for multiple years as the same intern also changed the maps to match the mistaken arrows. (Heard all that from a Ranger.)
  13. Part number of OEM Filter is AquaGo Replacement Filter # 77000-00251
  14. As an aside...while Truma is very clear that they only want their technicians doing any updates or changes...I believe Oliver did a bunch of installation of new burner units . Be sure to turn in a "ticket" to both Oliver and Truma. See my PM for some more suggestions. CS
  15. Please read my detailed report that I sent in on this topic attached....I've had truma's replace 3 times. First potential cause - Truma didn't properly tighten the brass fittings internally that feed the burner assembly. Second potential cause - Truma didn't crimp the burner tube assembly correctly, and with travel they rattle out (the burner tubes are like in a bar-b-q and can fall off which causes raw gas to be injected into the burner area for explosive ignition instead of gentle start.) This blog post has 3 goals and was SENT to NHTSA for evidence of why Truma needs to do something to fix their defective mfg process. 1) List symptoms we experienced with our Truma and use photos to illustrate the 3 firebox events. 2) Describe 2 different Truma reported manufacturing defects and show photos illustrating those issues. 3) Describe the in field solutions for each of the 2 manufacturing issues. 4) Show a pictures of the current Truma Burner Unit with all Manufacturing updates in place. The attached PDF is in full detail with picture of what is likely the issue or issues causing explosive ignition. Truma Issues.pdf Hope that helps...remember...you need to report this to both Oliver and Truma in order to get any warranty coverage. Craig Short
