  1. We use the Mopeka sensors as well. Only takes about 15 minutes to install and connect to the app on your phone. I also received and installed the wall mounted gauge and it seems to work just fine. I haven't run my tanks empty yet so I can't comment on the accuracy of the sensors but the reviews on line indicate they are very accurate.
  2. Here's one source on Amazon, many other choices but you have to make sure they are touch operated. Some only work from the switch source. https://www.amazon.com/Risestar-Ceiling-Interior-Lighting-3000-3500K/dp/B07TN6945F/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1KXMUHWEGLDGH&keywords=Led+RV+round+touch+control+puck+lights+4.5+inch&qid=1685286639&sprefix=led+rv+round+touch+control+puck+lights+4.5+inch%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-1
  3. A few more pics: The rally was exhausting for the little brown dogs........
  4. Shortly after arriving home I noticed our TV in Hull 1373 was mounted at it's lowest point on the arm. When in the up position for travel this maximizes the dynamic of bumps and just any up and down movement. I decided to adjust the TV up the arm as close to the mounting base as possible to reduce the length of this "lever" and hopefully reduce the stress to the TV and the under cabinet mount. You can slide the TV up 2-3 inches and it will still hang vertically without touching the bottom of the cabinet overhead when in the viewing position. I don't know if this will significantly reduce the stress on the mounts but it seemed like a good effort at least.
  5. I've had this box on the tongue of my utility trailer for about 8 years. It's actually a very nice box. Gas strut still works and the lock works fine if you need it. I purchased mine at Tractor Supply. They usually have them in stock at their stores.
  6. We are just a couple, no kids at home or camping, so meal prep is very easy. At home I prefer the pellet smoker on the patio and like you say, one skillet on a burner on the stove. For that reason we invested in the Camp Chef portable pellet grill and as mentioned above the induction hot plate. It is very fast and instant in response like a gas stove. It also cools off just as fast and is easy to wipe down and store. We got the 6 qt instant pot with air fryer and have practiced with it at home a few times. It's extremely versatile but takes a while to become fluent with. I don't know how much we will use it camping but will give a go to see if it's the thing we really want to have along. Nice thing about the induction burner is it can be used outside or inside if weather requires just the same. And it won't require exhausting propane fumes while cooking, probably keep the trailer cooler inside as well.
  7. When we got the LE2 home last evening I plugged in with an adaptor to the standard 115v outlet. Mine are on 15 amp breakers so may not actually answer your question. As soon as the AC kicked on, it popped the 15 amp circuit breaker. Will be installing my 30amp RV plug in the garage today. BTW the Truma did run OK on the 3200 watt generator all night. Just another test I wanted to perform.
  8. You bet I did. Felt very comfortable and secure with a little weather on the outside, dry and warm inside. Love it!
  9. By that time I was drenched in sweat. Left the house at 46 degrees and it was in the 80s and humid by the end of orientation. A day to remember!
  10. Delivery day is now in the books, and even though my head felt like it was spinning, it went very well. It started out at 4am when I finally decided laying in bed wide awake was useless. Got up after probably four hours sleep and loaded up some last items, fed the dogs and took them out and had a little breakfast with my wife before taking off at 5. I was pretty good driving, seemed like the 6.5 hours flew by. Pulled in early and ran into Chase in the showroom. He said he could take care of the paper work in just a few minutes and then I would be free to go through orientation once everyone was back from lunch. Ryan did a fantastic job explaining everything and answering my questions. The service guys still had to install the wifi receiver system and once that was done I backed the truck and hooked up to head out to a camp spot for the night. I had a great visit with numerous owners that were in for service on their way to the rally next week. @Patriot was their as well with warm greetings and even snapped and initial picture of me backing Ollie-Haus into her first official camp site. The picture shows I was a little giddy by this time. It's about 10:40pm now and I'm finally cleaned up and relaxing. Already have a few things on a punch list for service to address. It's been a great experience and even more so because of the fellow Oliver owners I've already connected with. And in just a few days we'll make even more new Oliver friends at the rally. See you all next week! IMG_8603.HEIC
  11. That's cool, we'll probably miss each other tomorrow. Talking with @Patriot I referred to the influx of owners at the Oliver camp ground as the "Pre rally rally". 😆🍻
  12. Looking good! You guys will be sleeping in quiet comfort at the rally!
  13. Wow all my brothers are looking out for me! That's way cool John. If you are still there tomorrow we'll get to meet in person. Glad everyone is safe in their Ollies! Thanks buddy!
  14. Thanks Steve. Hey btw I got to view your video testimony on YouTube last evening. You guys exuded joy and excitement with the new Oliver. You did a good job in front of the camera. Can't wait to meet you and all the owners at the rally next week.
  15. I think you have something going their. I've seen things like this sold on Etsy that can be customized, like hull numbers or name. I'm sure there are plenty of Oliver owners that would love to buy a T shirt or coffee mug. I would.
  16. Yep I think my timing was perfect as these were just released on the market a few months before I made my purchase. I love the stainless with induction capability. And I love just as much that they went with a ceramic surface inside instead of the traditional Teflon. I doubt we will leave the whole set in the camper, but for now we will have to figure out our favorite two or three items and the rest will be used in other ways. I love the clamp on handles that are quite sturdy and have a very secure grip. I also have my favorite Lodge cast iron skillet that will be great on the induction, gas or even a bed of coals in the fire pit. That dude will build up your forearms if you use it much. 😆
  17. That sounds very positive. Looking forward to their presentation at the rally.
  18. We got a portable induction unit a couple years ago with a two fold purpose. To determine if we liked induction enough to invest in a full size cooktop for the remodel, and to later use when camping in the travel trailer. Needless to say we love it and have purchased the five burner Frigidaire model for the house, and the 1800 watt portable is already packed up in the truck to put in the Oliver when I go down to pick up Wednesday. Made sure to get a nice induction ready cook set for the camper to go with it. Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop, Countertop Burner Induction Hot Plate with LCD Sensor Touch 1800 Watts, Silver 9600LS/BT-200DZ Magma Products, A10-366-2-IND Gourmet Nesting Stainless Steel Induction Cookware Set with Non-Stick Ceramica
  19. Well we are finally ready for delivery day-take 2. It's been a long four weeks but we are ready and excited to finally pick up Ollie-Haus. I'll be pulling out Wednesday at 5am for a 1pm appointment. Truck is loaded and I've got my list of questions and a notepad to help remember the flood of information I'm about to receive. Stacie is staying home this go-round, she's got work commitments she can't get out of due to vacation scheduled next week for the rally. I think we will be the newest LE2 at the rally, unless someone newer hasn't announced their attending yet. Home to Indiana on Friday if all goes well and than turn around on Monday and head back south with wife and doggies loaded. It's been a long six months since we ordered, and yet it's been a whirlwind of activity preparing for this day. Looks like the weather is going to be decent for the drive down, love that I'm able to make the trip during the Spring season. Thanks to our friend @Patriot, who is down at Oliver Service for an AC upgrade, we have been given a glimpse of our completed LE2 as he was able to identify it in the holding area next to the Oliver camp sites and send us a picture last evening. It was the only one with burgundy Oliver Graphics. Stacie started crying when she saw it. I think she's more excited than I am! Thanks a million David and Kathy! After years of planning we are finally at the threshold of a new chapter of fun and adventure. Look out America, here comes a couple of crazy old people prowling the back roads for adventure!🤣
  20. Reading through this thread this morning I like the many perspectives being shared. But the best part is for a new person with minimal or no travel trailer towing experience, it quickly becomes obvious that loading and balancing for proper tongue weight is a concern and focus for the experienced and for good reasons. We are fortunate in that Oliver has engineered our trailers to be easy if not forgiving in this respect. We do have a considerable amount of cargo capacity, so it is important to be mindful of the placement of cargo in relation to balance and especially tongue weight. This also emphasizes the importance of understanding the capacities of your tow vehicle. Everything you put in the trailer effects the TV loading. If you are operating on a thin margin with the TV it is critical to be mindful of all these considerations. A good emphasis on tongue weight is the focal point because that is the one factor that will most effect stability and safe handling of the trailer while driving. It also effects the steering characteristics of TV. The last thing you want to do is add weight to the rear in a way that reduces tongue weight, especially weight at the bumper hitch. It's fine if it offsets weight added to the front but should never cause a reduction in tongue weight below the 10-12% that's required for stability. Like @Katjoeluded to, weight added to the rear hitch has a way of magnifying the "whip effect". Point being it's wise to be mindful of loading cargo, especially heavy cargo. For a new person my advice would be to stay mindful of all these factors, and if you load a certain way and notice a change in stability, consider alternatives to the load to improve. Each of us kind of seek out the sweet spot for a TV/trailer combination. Great discussion folks.
  21. I got this for my wife for the house, now that we have all hard laminate floors. She says she loves it and plans to take it in the Ollie when we go camping. I have a lot of Craftsman V20 power tools so the batteries are interchangeable if she needs a fresh one in mid cleaning.
  22. I'm sure it could be. It's a standard outlet you can buy and wire it in like the street side receptacle. Receptacle Wire - 10/3 30 amp wire
  23. No I do not but the folks at the factory will help you out. It's their primary avenue of sales so I'm sure they will promptly work it out for you. The folks at Oliver are very no pressure in their sales philosophy, you don't have to worry about being pressured. You may have to drive a little distance as the closest owner participating in the program may not be in your zip code. Good luck. Edit: if you check the classifieds thread regularly, you may find the used Oliver of your dreams. There are some available listings right now. https://olivertraveltrailers.com/forums/29-used-oliver-travel-trailers-for-sale/
  24. You should be able to fill out the form on the "See an Oliver in Your area" page and that should get the ball rolling. Mid way down the page is a long blue button that says "Request to see a customer's Oliver near me" Fill out the form and submit. They will coordinate the process from there. We did this three years ago and it was as simple as exchanging a couple emails and picking a date. https://olivertraveltrailers.com/see-an-ollie/field-visit-request/
  25. Would a battery powered blower be of any use to keep this area clean before it gets matted down in that area? That was the first thing that came to my mind reading this discussion.
