I’m not sure if Oliver bought the tractor/trailer showing the video but man is that a nice rig. Keeps the trailers very secure and protected/unused even on the longest deliveries. Looks like most of the trailers in the parking lot have the Truma upgrade. Wouldn’t surprise me if that was standard equipment now along with lithium and solar. A really good decision on Oliver’s part.

I agree on the Truma upgrade. We are very pleased with both our 13.5 Truma Aventa and Truma on demand hot water heater for many reasons. I feel pretty certain based on what I learned while at Oliver Service last Oct that Truma products may eventually be standard equipment on both OlEll and likely the OLEl. I think Lithium and Solar will continue to be upgraded options. Time will tell.

This YouTuber has been doing a series on the lack of quality in RV's and dealerships.

However, she heard about the Oliver and posted this video about an hour ago.

This YouTuber has some fairly interesting content. I actually suggested to her to give Oliver TT a look in a comment section on one of her earlier vids. She mentioned that being a full timer she required a larger living area as well as and black and gray tanks. She does a pretty good job of exposing the poor quality control issues of SOB trailers.

I had not seen this layout before.

For us, I would miss the pantry.  But certainly can see this layout for entertaining purposes would have advantages.

An Elite interior, which we looked at very briefly before ordering our OLE2. It was just a bit too cozy for us and not as tall an interior if you’re over 6’2. A show stopper for us.

We have the convection microwave and absolutely love it. We upgraded to the convection microwave when we placed our original OLEll order, And I can tell you it really works great with zero issues regarding high oven heat. There is nothing like a roasted chicken with sides on a rainy cold night. Or the ability to heat up homemade chili or bake a lasagna while traveling.
On our recent 6000 mile trip out west we used our convection/microwave a lot and we’re sooooo glad to have it. It’s hard to  imagine not having a way to enjoy hot food. You can’t always rely on a campfire or grilling if there is a fire ban or it’s raining or high winds.
We also carry a Weber Q1200 and it gets a lot of use as well. A quick call to Oliver will likely provide the answer you’re looking for. I would bet the conversion is not that difficult especially since your Ollie is a 2022 model.
Please post up what you learn. 👍🏻😊

  5. At our last service visit in October, I was told that the new bathroom door will be identical to the current closet door only with a mirror attached to it. This should/will allow the door to be made by Oliver in house. The mirror would still be out sourced and attached to door. This new door/mirror will be a more rigid door than the present one. There is a possibility of this also being a retro fit. We’ll see! 😊

  6. @ScubaRx Great news!! 🤩
We purchased our first Overland Camper an Intech “Pursue” from Bumgarner Camping Center in Lenoir. This is a small family owned business and they were excellent to deal with in both the sale and service of our former Intech. We actually know the owners and are excited for them to now be an Oliver sales and service center. The Bumgarner's are really fine folks and only an hour away from our home.

It just seems that some of the diseases and infections we are now subjected to, are more common but aggressive than they were 50-100 years ago.

    Agreed.
And sadly with the current situation with open borders we are going to see a lot more of these nasty diseases that we once for the most part eradicated in our country. The present illegal invasion streaming across our borders is continuing to bring with it lots of unchecked pestilence. When will we learn?

Let’s hope and pray this changes soon.

  8. A simple galley outlet “hack” which I wont take credit for. Someone on FB posted a photo of this 6” power strip and I don’t recall who. Anyway I ordered one. It just seems a little bit easier to plug in the coffee pot and toaster early in the morning.😴

Just passing it forward. Installs easily with 3m double sided tape sold separately.

Exactly the same situation with me.  But, as Patriot said, "I am not a chemist and won’t pretend to be one."👌

With a relatively newly winterized Ollie and a new detector, I'm having no problems.

Therefore, my bet is on a "defective" sensor.

But, as Seadawg said - a propane leak is dangerous.  Be careful.

    Bill

With this new CO/LP RV Safe detector it’s my experience verified by the instructions and by Andrea at RV that 4 chirps indicate CO. This clearly helps identify which gas is present. I have only previously experienced the CO alarm. All good now.

    Here-

    • Alarm activates with a four beep pattern with a flashing red LED for CO gas, or a continuous beeping with a solid red LED for Propane gas. If both gases are present, the alarm will indicate propane as it requires more immediate action.

You're correct, it is a moot point now. So please don't continue to rain down doom and gloom on the rest of us that are still owners. There are still lots of folks that love their Oliver's and many more wishing they could own one. Oliver is working through the same issues that many industries are, but at least they have a long term plan in place that is well thought out, has been years in the making and will succeed. Nobody is being forced to buy from a dealer as opposed to going to Hohenwald. I believe you've mentioned many times about your dissatisfaction of being so far from the factory. These new dealership relations will solve some of those problems. I have an extremely long (fifteen+ years) and close relationship with Oliver trailers as well as the Oliver Family and I can say with confidence that so far, their past business decisions haven't failed them and neither will this one.

Very well stated @ScubaRx on all levels and I agree 💯

    Hi All,

Oliver Elite II Hull #1443 picked up in October.

I just winterize this past weekend and it is setting in my driveway with windows and door shut, came home today with the co sensor under the dinette going off and blinking red. I opened windows, door and put a small fan blowing on it and finally went off after 30-45 minutes and light back to green. I am thinking that the antifreeze fumes caused it to go off. Has anyone else had this happen?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Mark,

Our original CO/LP detector in our 2020 LE2 gave up the ghost during our recent trip to CO. I called Oliver and asked what they were now installing and was told they now install the RV Safe CO/LP detector. Rather than wait on shipping from Oliver, I contacted a local RV dealer in Montrose who had plenty of these in stock. So I drove over and picked one up and installed it. All was 💯 fine during the rest of our trip. Two weeks later after arriving home we winterized our Ollie. Right after winterizing our new LP/CO alarm began chirping indicating CO. It would not reset after multiple try’s. So I disconnected it from power supply, reconnected it and it briefly went back to green and normal operation. We left the windows and screen door open to allow fresh air into the cabin area all day. I thought this would help clear the RV antifreeze odor from the cabin. The detector functioned perfectly fine no chirps. We decided ok, we are good. So we closed the windows and the door and within an hour the CO alarm went off again. Note: No low voltage, no odd cleaning chemicals used, LP turned off.
So I decided it was time to call RV Safe (located in CA) and spoke with a very nice rep named Andrea. She listened to what I had experienced, and I told her that we had just winterized. I asked if these detectors were sensitive to RV Antifreeze? She said that she had recently had one other fiberglass trailer owner experience the same thing with the CO alarm chirping and not resetting.
She promptly sent me a new replacement with a return paid shipping envelope for the one I had installed. The new detector is working fine so far. And I returned the one I purchased in Montrose, CO. As @ScubaRx mentioned these detectors even the new ones can just fail. I agree.

Could a chemical used in RV antifreeze set the CO alarm off? I am not a chemist and won’t pretend to be one. I will defer this question to the experts and let them decide. It sure seems odd that we both have had a very similar experience after winterizing. The new detector is now working fine and have not had any CO alerts. It’s interesting to note the odor level presently of the RV antifreeze is not nearly as strong as when we first winterized and the new replacement is operating as it should. I suggest giving RV Safe customer service rep Andrea a call. Again, she was great to work with and made getting my replacement very seamless. I recieved my replacement in 3 days from CA and we live in Western NC.

Please post up and let us know how everything works out.
