  1. The property tax in each county is different. You may want to check with the county you reside in.
  2. First, welcome to the forum. I noticed you did not indicate if your purchasing new or used. If your purchasing new this is generally what you can expect in North Carolina- After you purchase and take delivery of a new Oliver in Tenn, you receive a 30 day Tenn temporary tag. Naturally you will need to register your Ollie before the expiration of that temporary grace period of the 30 day tag. To register In NC, as a resident you will be required to show proof of purchase - your sales receipt, (and a CO or certificate of origin from Oliver), proof of insurance and then pay NC the sales tax. The CO is required to establish the new title for the state of NC. Once you pay the 3% sales tax on the total cost of your Ollie, title application fee, and all applicable registration fees and a β€œcash” $5 notary fee you will receive a permanent β€œtin tag” that day. I believe you can pay the registration and sales tax via personal check, or visa. You may want to call your local office and ask. The process is not difficult as long as you have ALL your required documents. Then annually as a NC resident you are required to pay a property valuation tax and registration fee to receive a new registration and yearly sticker which you apply to your license plate which indicates your plate is legally registered in NC for the new year. Any further details I may have overlooked can be found by going online to NCDMV or call your local DMV tag office. Hope this helps. Maybe someone else can chime in on Florida and the Montana.
  3. dewdev, We typically turn the city water off if when we are leaving our Ollie for a few hours or a full day excursion. Just a best practiced we use.
  4. http://www.zarcor.com/rv_products/rv-door-window-kit/ Bill, Just a quick note to say thank you for the info and the link. We ordered our Zarcor tinted window in the white frame and now they offer a white handle to slide the blinds open and closed. My experience with the Zarcor rep on the phone was excellent. He answered all of my questions and just made the purchase very seamless. Based on my purchase experience I would not hesitate to do business again with Zarcor. The price is $129 shipped. David
  5. That looks great Frank. πŸ‘πŸ»
  6. Wow! Price jump? I feel like I gotta a deal. I think this was a sale price.
  7. If you read the Oliver TT FAQ and scroll down through the page you will see what items you need to bring and what Oliver will provide. We also received a detailed list from our sales person well in advance of our delivery date. We did a lot of reading and research and asked questions on the forum which was extremely helpful. I seriously doubt your going to see Oliver post Amazon links and or photos to suggested locks & chocks and the mountain of other things you can purchase off Amazon. This forum and Oliver University is a very good resource of information and a great way for you to learn and decide what items will work for you. Continue to read and do your research and you will be much better off than someone handing you a list. If you put the time in and work on a comprehensive list you will reap the rewards later. This approach has served us well as fairly new owners. A salute to Oliver for providing a mountain of information readily available for its owners and future owners. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ here- https://olivertraveltrailers.com/travel-trailers/frequently-asked-questions/
  8. I don’t see the Oliver production line starting up custom requests or partial options. They did not offer this when we purchased our 2020. The other thing to consider is warranty. It might be a good idea to review Oliver warranty information prior to DIY installs. I think most will agree Oliver has the best warranty in the industry. And truly stand behind what they build. As many have said on the fourm, it less expensive to have it installed in production than post delivery. Just another view point. Enjoy your build!
  9. My 890 arrived yesterday and I am still thinking through this install. As TG mentioned I do have the optional upfitter switches (pic) one of which will likely be my 890 power source. The builtright mounting bracket is on its way from the supplier. And I already had a new ram mount in my shop that I had never opened from my previous 2 wheeled moto years. My only concern with the ram mount arm length from the mounting ram ball mounting point on the Builtright. Which begs the question? Is there any noticeable screen bounce or screen vibration when driving down secondary roads using the longer ram arm mount? In a recent conversation with TG, I believe he mentioned he saw no noticeable screen bounce or vibs on the smoother super slab on a recent trip. Over thinking, Yes.. guilty.😎 Over head upfitter switches-
  10. KenB, What is this noise you speak of? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I sleep like a bear! Beautiful pups by the way! Love setters and grew up grouse hunting!
  11. Bill, Thanks for the great write up on the Garmin 890 and install. We placed our order for the 890 and look forward to possibly a similar install. - David
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the Oliver family! This fourm and Oliver University is a wonderful resource of information. Happy & Safe Travels, Patriot
  13. Well we caught Santa warming his buns last night by our fireplace...πŸ˜„
  14. LongStride, Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Elite l, very exciting! This forum has a wealth of knowledge and a great Oliver family to become acquainted with. Everyone is more than willing to lend an ear and answer your questions. You also have plenty of time to study up on your Ollie and become Oliver University Alumni. Being fairly new Oliver owners ourselves, Oliver University has been extremely helpful. Oliver even takes there customer service to another level with great maintenance videos. So dive in snd enjoy. Welcome to the Oliver Family, now hit the books. πŸ“šπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜„ -Patriot

  18. Happy Thanksgiving! Bill did you pardon that big Tom? πŸ˜„
  19. From a gorgeous sunny Western Carolina morning - Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Despite the challenges of this past year and likely many more in the future we feel blessed with great health, happiness and freedom. The bird is in and rolling in hickory smoke for several hours and we won’t open the smoker door until our igrill mini meat probe reports on my iPhone that its done! 😊 A toast to a safe, healthy year ahead for all. Happy Camping!
  20. BlueHighways, I agree with you on the additional cab comfort of a 3/4 ton on long haul trips, IMHO there is no comparison to a half ton or an SUV. We recently made a decision to move to a 3/4 and have zero regrets. Driver/passenger comfort, insane power from an extremely quiet diesel w/engine brake or Jake brake. Another huge plus is added cargo room and excellent cab visibility (ours is factory lifted) which really suits us perfectly for travel and touring. We also have the optional 1 ton Dana axle high capacity tow package TV and still averaging 21-22 mpgs highway. Drive what you enjoy and enjoy what you drive! πŸ‘πŸ» Happy Camping and enjoy that new TV!
  21. We have the (5) sided clam and really it’s quick set up and take down. I recommend the optional side panels for privacy or blocking wind or sun.
  22. We called the CG directly and mentioned we were picking up our Ollie and they were very accommodating. Site 81 - I wide and level and I would pick it again. 😊
  23. Just received this email from Kuat on the new Transfer 2 bike rack which they claim can be mounted directly on campers recreational vehicles or trailers with chassis mounted receivers only. https://www.kuatracks.com/product/transfer-v2/
  24. Great pics Bill! We loved the switchbacks of route 80πŸ‘πŸ»
  25. Neat rack, thanks for posting, Curt is in the mix for cycle racks. Now I know Jairon you are still on the hunt for that ultimate Ollie rack. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
