Month #11 with our Ollie stored here in our back yard on a 12X55’ pad we had poured. We have had zero issues with any critters entering or making a home inside our Ollie. We always remove any food source if we know we are not going to be traveling. I have installed S/S fine mesh screens over exterior appliance inlets and exhaust vents. I also cover our AC unit after every trip to preclude and Carolina Wrens from building their dream home. 😄

So glad you got to experience the Oliver tour! It’s really amazing to see how Oliver creates their unique Travel Trailers. The new show room floor is like glass and Oliver has done an amazing job sparing little expense to show off their best. We were there just a few weeks ago and spent a fair amount of time with Anita she is a very special gal. We also had a wonderful conversation with Sales & Service Manager Rodney Lomax who is a great listener. A really down to earth good guy. Jason Essary and Mike Sharpe go above and beyond in service in our experience. Valentines Day will be here before you know it! A contaminated diesel fuel tank with a hole poked in it is a lot cheaper to replace than a contaminated fuel system and engine. Sadly there are bad actors out there who like easy targets for vandalism. Just another point of view. What’s interesting is a friend of mine who just purchased a new 2021 GMC 2500 gasser has no gas cap at all, just a fill port.

Looks like the rubber ring grommet where you secure the hook in the loop area is missing or maybe it did not have one. The rubber ring offers a little cushion or shock absorption when hooked. My SWAG.

Ralph Mawyer, I simply just replaced the light. I ordered two new replacement touch lights from Oliver. One for my galley sink and one over our burners is acting like it may need replacing as well. It does not work as consistently as the new replacement does. Contacted Mike at service and he shipped them to us USPS. The new light over the galley was easily replaced and I am waiting for the one over the burner to quit before replacing it. I spliced the wires and used electrical tape and heat shrink tubing to secure the connections. The new light works perfect. Stating the obvious here, it was a quick and straight forward fix. We’ll see how long these replacements last. -Patriot

We topped off the car with unleaded and topped off the Tremor with diesel. All is well for now.

Most if not all of the fuel stations in our area are completely out including diesel. Bags are on pumps everywhere. We saw one tanker this morning as we had a few errands to run. Topgun2, I agree it may take a few weeks before we see fuel in our area with all these stations out. An upside world we live in.🙃

The spare medeco key I believe was $14 shipped and it took several days as they actually have to cut another the key.

Carl, I called Proven industries and told them about my application on the Oliver and they said the chains do not fit inside the lock. I don’t think anything has changed, but given the price of the lock maybe give them a call for further details. They were great to deal with. If you get the Medeco cylinder I highly recommend a spare key.

We canceled both Vogel SP in Ga and LGSP. We look forward to visiting both parks another time. Both parks were very understanding about the fuel shortage and provided full refunds. Be Safe, - Patriot

I guess it depends on how bad a thief wants your Oliver TT. If a thief wants your rig bad enough I suppose there is nothing short of removing the wheels off a camper to prevent theft. We use the Proven lock as a very good deterrent and also proof to our insurance carrier we have done everything we can to prevent theft. We have the upgraded stainless steel puck lock and Medco key cylinder. (Don’t loose the key in big letters in instructions). I can’t imagine trying to remove the Proven lock if a key went missing. In my opinion it’s the best deterrent made for a coupler lock. It fits loosely for a reason to make it very difficult to drill or cut into. Having spent a really long career in Law Enforcement I never investigated or read a report on camper theft. Not to imply it does not happen, but it seems pretty rare. I know I have never read about an Ollie being stolen. We do the best we can to secure your rig and have excellent insurance coverage and choose CGs wisely.

A great visit with the folks at Oliver Travel Trailer Service Center. A few minor warranty issues addressed after our 17 day trip. Special thanks to Jason, Mike and Chris for there expertise and professional assistance. We really appreciate all you do. It sure was nice to get a good visit in with Anita Johnston who was our sales rep! Thank you all for what you do! We stayed at David Crockett CG #2 which was just great.
