  1. 2021 LE2 Below is another thought from the Aventa operation manual. Not sure if iced up condensation drains would allow interior water leakage under certain circumstances. When Truma installed my Aventa at Lakeland Fl, I asked if they would perform a water leak test. The answer was "NO". They relied on their installation practice to insure water tightness and had no reported problems. Since December installation I have not suffered any leak issues. It has not be subject to snow/ice.....just the liquid stuff. I believe a Truma installation manual came with my unit. I'll look for a diagram/parts list and post if found. Steve
  2. 2021 LE2 .... Some pics of my Dometic.......recently uninstalled. Maybe this helps. In the pics you will see there are two layers of foam gasket plus the butyl tape that seals the AC to the roof. The tube penetrates the foam gasket attached directly to the AC. The penetrations are sealed with not butyl tape but something that feels like expandable foam....not sticky at all. When my LE2 was new the AC leaked condensate into the trailer. A repairman determined it was leaking at the "T" connection because of a miss applied clamp. It took him <30 minute to repair. Oliver paid for the repair. Let me know if you need more pics. (this unit is for sale) Steve
  3. 2021 LE 2 Timken counterfeits or WBA app wonky... Last year, I bought Timken bearings from Rockauto to replace all the original wheel bearings. I used the WBA app to authenticate them. Oliver service performed the work. Oliver saved the original China bearings for me to keep as "road spares". In preparation for repacking this year, I purchase six seals and two sets of Timken bearings to have on hand, if needed. These bearings were also purchased from Rockauto. I checked them with the WBA app....which indicated that both of the set4 and set17 bearings were counterfeit !! After sleeping on it, I started trying to find out more info on the WBA app....revisions...updates...reliability reviews. Most of what I found was marketing speak. I decided to delete the WBA app from my iphone (originally downloaded in 2022) and download again. This time the app approved as genuine both of the set17 and one of the set4. Once again I deleted and downloaded the WBA app. I rechecked all the sets with the same result...one set4 counterfeit. Next, (without another delete/download) I very gradually moved the iphone camera over the counterfeit set4 CR code without the bar code in the image.....and before my very eyes the counterfeit set4 transformed into genuine Timkens. I share this with the group for anyone who uses the WBA app for authentication. So, do I have genuine or counterfeit? False positive?...false negative?...scam WBA app? I've bought OEM parts from Rockauto for years without incident. I guess the bottom line is to do the yearly bearing maintenance and carefully inspect them. I'll look forward to how last years installed "genuine" Timkens look this year. Steve
  4. Contact service.....here is an explanation they posted in the same recall thread. Steve MDuncan Administrators 191 Author Administrators Posted June 23, 2022 This recall is for only some Oliver Legacy Elite travel trailers and does not include Legacy Elite II trailers. We will be notifying all impacted individuals by USPS mail and by email. If you print the attached document to have a service center inspect and/or replace your cooktop, please email Regina Rogers and let her know you have taken corrective action. Thanks! 1 2 Matt Duncan Director of Marketing, Oliver Travel Trailers
  5. Here's a link to the F250 that does not seem too bad.....just have to have a looooooong arm 💪.
  6. Hello, That looks like the removable weather striping. You just push and seat it back in place. You remove it when you clean the window track and weep holes. Steve
  7. Oops....added forum item: Truma Aquago Hot Water Heater FYI Went to take a shower in our new MH that has the Truma Aquago Endless Hot Water Heater this weekend and the hot water would only get luke warm. Too cool to take a shower. Two weeks ago, it worked just fine. The trouble shooting begin and after about twelve hours later, my wife reached out to Facebook for help. Luckily a quick response said to check the outside shower to make sure both the hot and cold water faucets were off, because if they wasn't, the hot and cold water would mix. Sure enough, that's what it was. FYI, make sure you turn the outside shower faucets off. __________________ Steve
  8. One thing to check......from iRV2 forum: Steve
  9. Ralph, I used the Lakeland Fl Truma service center. The tech's name is David Lehman. (d.lehman@trumacorp.com) 855.558.seven.eight.six.two Steve
  10. Correct....no shut down necessary. After refill/install of tank 1, you can just leave the regulator on tank 2 if you want.
  11. Hello Ralph, They did not seem to have a problem removing the Dometic. There was one guy on top and another inside. Attached is a pic of the Dometic bottom side. There are a couple of thick foam pads with a thin sealer layer of what seems similar to butyl tape. I'm unsure if there was something else stuck to the trailer roof hole. The Oliver was delivered May 2021. It took them a little less than 3 hours to complete the job. Steve
  12. A slightly less cost approach....... 2021 Elite 2....just completed replacement of my Dometic jet engine with the Truma Aventa Eco. It was installed by the Lakeland Florida Truma service center. So far, it seems to work as advertised...no opinion yet using the remote...seems simple. Hot weather performance test pending!!! For the heater....the Truma installer recommended we keep/use the Dometic AC control box and thermostat vs a mechanical or Emerson digital thermostat. I used the propane heater while camping this last week. Using the Dometic thermostat was no issue. Cost = $2,705 walk out price....includes Aventa ECO, Aventa Air Distributor, Condensate drain kit and installation labor. (included tax was 7%)
  13. Google how to do a Vizio hard reset….not the power reset. Worked for me. Steve
  14. Hello, I have an LE2 with lithium batteries. I use a Honda EU2200i to run everything the Dometic AC, HW, and anything else.....but not all at once. One method I use is the Xantrex iphone app to change the battery charging rate to 10 amps or so...any low value that does not exceed the total amps of the generator plus the AC. It's all about understanding the amp load vs the amps available (from the generator or from any other power source...house plug in, etc).
  15. We did not receive any pans with the convection microwave. I've baked crackling cornbread in a 9" round metal pie pan....same pan that I use in a dutch oven. It turned out well. (square pans of similar size will hit the microwave sides as the turntable rotates) I also like to use a porcelain bowl for oatmeal....plastic seems to impart the plastic taste.
  16. Yeah, we were seeing a freeze/thaw cycle each day.....highs were probably in mid-30's. With the ice, I didn't bother trying to keep the solar panels clear...never built up more than a couple of inches and I didn't want to chance damaging them. I agree the the street side shower knob area is a good place to use to determine where to set the furnace thermostat. I did not monitor the trailer front temp....just kept the bathroom and closet doors open at night. I used the Lithonics app to monitor the battery internal temperatures and never saw a need to turn on the aux battery heater.
  17. Hull 806..LE2.....a repost of our low temp camping experience. I have no problem considering the Ollie a 4 season trailer but I know I have to monitor the temps and always have to have a back up plan (or three) if "oops" happens (bold below). >>>>>>>>>>>>> We camped in Wyoming with lows around 15 degrees for a week, not winterized, with no problem. Altitude was about 7,000 feet. I have three SensorPush HT1 Wireless Thermometers to monitor the temps. Sensor # 1 was located in the cabin attached to the rear most driver side reading light. Sensor # 2 was located between hulls under the passenger side bed near the tail lights & water lines. Sensor # 3 was located between hulls under the driver side bed next to the shower outlet. On the outside of Ollie, I removed the shower head and pulled the water line inside the hull and reconnected the shower head. I set the furnace to mid/upper 50's and monitored all three temps....adjusting as desired. The driver side had the largest variance to the cabin temperature.....about 15 degrees. I have two 30 lb propane tanks. We were boondocking. After 5 or 6 days with ice/snow cloud cover....the batteries got down to about 50% SOC. At that point, I used the generator to recharge....not risking the furnace fan operation. We consumed one tank of propane and promptly got it refilled. (This was a portion of a five week western trip..we had been running the refrig on propane so we did not consume the whole tank in this one week). I also carried a Caframo heater and anti-freeze/pump ..... just in case. We operated the water system/hot water heater as normal. We did have to deal with condensation. (((BTW...I have move one of the sensors to inside of the refrigerator. We adjust the temp setting according to the readings. Early on in our experience we were having veggies and eggs freeze because we did not monitor and adjust....now, not an issue.))) Steve
  18. Sold by HF as a set.....made of polypropylene...each ramp weighs about 9 pounds. Yes, I take it on all trips...its about 3 feet long and fits neatly on top of my truck's wheel well. https://www.harborfreight.com/13000-lb-gvwr-portable-vehicle-ramp-set-63956.html
  19. LE2 2022 Hull 806 here, I utilize a HFreight ramp I already had on hand....it works great to lift either tire off the ground. It has 6.5" of lift and is as simple as it looks. I use the ramp to take tires off when I grease the zerks. I hope I never have to use it on the side of the road, but I have complete confidence if I need to do so.
  20. Hull 806....investigating replacement of the Dometic AC....Truma or Houghton? My main and common motivation is the Dometic decibel issue. In researching replacement experiences with the Houghton, I ran across the attached youtube testament. At about 13:00, the couple discuss a new humidity issue. Here is the alarming quote. "Well it's been about six weeks since we installed the Houghton air conditioner from RecPro and ultimately we've still been unable to get rid of this humidity issue. We've been in North Carolina, we've been in Florida - we're now in Illinois and the humidity levels in the camper are unreasonable to us". They go on to state the humidity will decrease to the 50's during the day but increase to the 80's at night. I believe they attribute this to the constantly running fan with the compressor being off. This is shocking to me because they seem to be seasoned campers and are comparing the humidity issue to their previous Dometic AC. They resorted to running a "house size" dehumidifier. Still, they state in this and a follow up video that they would again install the Houghton due to the decibel improvement. In the comments on their youtube video their are others that state they are seeing a similar humidity issue. So......not sure what to make of this. Comments?
  21. Hull 806 here.... I have the same model generator....are you using a neutral bonding plug? This is a must have. You can buy them...I made one via youtube and it works fine.
  22. Link is to the Oliver comparison video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY8kE32ITDE Dometic Pengiun 2 low profile......11,000 btu

  24. Recent LE2 .....Yes...and a cover panel on the wall. Fuses under the dinette. Are you trying to run it on DC or AC? Verify your mode setting, battery SOC etc
