Hello New Friends: Picking up Hull Number 1335 Next Week
Katjo replied to RichM's topic in Introduce Yourself
Rich and Christine, Congrats and welcome to the Ollie family! Wishing you the best going forward, so many exciting new adventures to look forward to. -
Exactly! It’s no fun to be out in, especially driving.🙈 We’ve been lucky until now, haven’t had much snow at all. This snow storm made up for it!
-
This is good to know! I’ve never heard of it. Thank you for sharing it.

Trailer Length vs "pretty" campsite
Katjo replied to Dennis and Melissa's topic in General Discussion
It really depends on your camping style. We love the size of the Oliver, especially the width which allows us to keep in at our house, we have a narrow driveway so the width was something we really wanted to stay 7’ or less. We spend most of our time outside and also have a pop up screen room which gives us added space even if it’s raining (it has side panels that can be attached). As for the wet bath, its actually quite large for a wet bath and with the curtain you can keep the half with the toilet area dry when showering. I do think if you are contemplating size and already feel that the Oliver may be too small and you are uncertain about a wet bath then I suggest renting a 25ft camper and a smaller camper and see how you feel in it. Try a wet and dry bath. It’s a big purchase and you certainly don’t want buyers remorse. If you are set on a dry bath and still want fiberglass look at the Bigfoots and Escape is coming out with a new 23 that has twin bed option and a dry bath. We love our Oliver and I don’t believe you can beat the quality and customer service but everyone’s likes/needs/wants are different, it’s just finding what’s is the right fit for you. Good luck with whatever you decide. -
Yes, we seriously still have a true landline and Panasonic phones..lol We love our landline, we use it the same way as you do “the solicitor line”! We have caller ID so screening is a breeze!🤣
-
I still use a wall calendar and have a phone landline (lol) so you can bet we are still a fan of paper road maps! We have a ton of triptiks from AAA that we have accrued from road-trips taken long ago!

I did receive the email on the updated terms and conditions. Curious as well what @Rivernerd thinks of it.

Should the blinds be open or closed when towing? Should they be open or closed when storing?🤔

You’re hired! When can you do mine? Lol seriously, you did a beautiful job, it looks spectacular! Thank you for the list of products used.

How to Rent Out Your Travel Trailer for Extra Cash
Katjo replied to JWalmsley's topic in Oliver Blogs
It is getting more and more popular, people rent before they commit to buying an RV or motorhome of their own. I’d never rent my Oliver but I do think it’s a good thing and terrific option for someone not sure if they want a motorhome or towable to rent first. -
Oh my! So sorry to hear about your broken collar bone…ouch! I did have to chuckle at your second attempt success “taking a bow”!! Hope the road is smooth sailing for you from here on out and no more unplanned gymnastic dismounts off any ladder!

Thank you for sharing the video. I have the iPhone 14 pro-max and knew the SOS satellite feature was available but wasn’t sure how it worked. I think it’s a great feature and definitely gives some added piece of mind when going off grid.

Welcome to the Oliver Travel Trailer Forums Our forum community is a place where owners of Oliver Travel Trailers and prospective owners can come together to collaborate about Oliver Travel Trailers and the lifestyle of camping.
-
But it’s an Oliver Travel Trailer Forum! Why not market Airstreams and Grand Designs here too?! Wouldn’t be appropriate and either is marketing toy haulers on an Oliver Travel Trailer forum, especially since they don’t make one. I didn’t come to this forum because I was interested in RV’s, I came to this forum because I was interested in Oliver’s.
-
I thought the same thing. OliverTravel Trailer forum promoting toy haulers! Why? They are marketing toy haulers now? Are they building one?
-
@Rivernerd Thank you for your expert insight. I won’t pretend to understand all the legal jargon so it’s nice to get some feedback from someone with years of experience.
-
@MDuncan Ok, thank you for taking the time to clarify. We love showing our Ollie, we’ve never been referred by Oliver but have shown it too many times to count to strangers at every place we take it! We’ve even had a few message through FB that saw we have an Oliver that have come to our home and toured it, not referred by Oliver.
-
So if we give someone a tour of our Oliver while for example we are at a campground and they would like more info and are willing to give their information, we submit that to Oliver and that quality’s as a field visit as long as they haven’t previously had contact with Oliver?
-
Thank you for the clarification.
-
So rewards are loaded into the reward debit card. To get the cash you need to go to a ATM to remove the reward cash less the ATM fee?

I couldn’t agree more about the “muzzling” on that FB group! I know a few that have been kicked out for having legitimate problems and because it was “negative” they got kicked out! This is no way to moderate a FB group, people learn by both positive and negative comments. Nothing is always sunshine and roses! I’ve contemplated starting a new Oliver group where comments will not be muzzled and it will not have trigger happy fingers on the kick people out button if the persons comment/opinion doesn’t agree with theirs. I would name the group Oliver Travel Owners New Generation. Let me know if there is interest and I will open a new FB group.

As well as having to file a 1099 over $600. This is the most cumbersome reward program I’ve ever seen!
