  1. Overland, I've had this problem with the marker light in the lower position of the front, passenger side. When you get a chance could you take a quick pic of the area you are referring to. THANK YOU!!
  2. I did the same upgrade to the tank on my 2017. The biggest benefit we've experienced is that we're able to stop for fuel where we decide. So we're not forced to stop in California where fuel could go to over $4/gallon and make it to Texas where fuel can run <$2/gallon at some places. Our bladders dictate rest stops, the price of fuel dictates fuels stops...
  3. Using my 2017 F250 without an equalizing hitch, no problems ever with sway, cruising I10 at the legal speed limit of 80mph.
  4. I used this one....https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W55FQDL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 you just need to remove the regulator and put this onto the threaded pipe on the fire pit. This will provide the quick connect connector that you can then use your gas hose to connect to. Hope this helps.
  5. Hi there Mary, I've lived in CC for many years and the spring break time frame is certainly busy but not unbearable most years. If you stay south of Port Aransas you will miss the majority of it, as the spring breakers tend to stay up towards Port A. camping on the beach if that's your thing will be quiet on Padre Island National Seashore (PINS in local vernacular). It is really a beautiful time of the year 99% of the time. The spring break timeframe is the first to the third week of March, with the first two weeks being the busiest. Hope this helps. John
  6. Had a great trip at the end of 2018 through Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, New York (Niagara Falls, Lake Erie), Acadia National Park, Boston, Arizona (Grand Canyon and Chiricahua National Monument). Spent 14 days boon docking in the red rocks region behind Sedona AZ that was a lot of fun. Thought I'd share these shots of the Ollie in the wild. We had a blast and plan to do Utah, AZ (again), Quartzite, Tennessee and Alabama (rally time :)) starting in January at quartzite. If anyone plans on being there during the RV show please let me know would love to meet you there. yn John and Marilyn.
  7. We'll be making it to the 2020 rally as well
  8. 2017 Ford F250 with tailgate step clears no problem
  9. If possible, would you mind identifying which crate you have that fits so nicely. When I look on Amazon, I see two sized a square and a rectangular, yours look rectangular but before I order I'd like to confirm. Thank you, John
  10. Is something like the attached just a really bad idea?
  11. Thank you, I appreciate the pointer, looks like spring under axle will not work...Ah well, I'll keep paying attention to the brake upgrades. :)
  12. John, Not trying to hijack this thread, but I think might be somewhat related to the topic as it is axle related. You'd started or participated in a thread about wanting to convert your axles from over the spring to under the spring. I'm wondering if you've looked any further into that and if so what did you learn? I'm interested in both these upgrades (raising the axle and the disk brake electric over hydraulic upgrade) but you're doing far more research into the topic than I have the time or skillset for so I'm awaiting what you figure out before pulling the trigger. Thanks, John
  13. Do you happen to know the part number/model number of the Kodiak brakes that will work with a 2017 Elite II?
  14. John, This is great information and I'm interested in everything on the list you showed. I'm not really a fisherman (although I do try sometimes), we do love exploring and it sounds like many of our interest intersect with yours. If you have more information that you'd like to post, I'm working on a map in Google maps where I'm trying to capture all the various locations people have talked about in one easy (yet crowded) map. If you'd like to see what I've got so far I'm happy to share it with you, I'd need your normal email so I can enter it in the share. Just let me know, Thanks, John
  15. Thanks Steve, I know you have the gear to drill the holes, I'll need to find someone...I appreciate the response and am considering the upgrade for all the reasons this thread has identified.
  16. Thanks John, The weigh-safe hitch I got has the three inch bar, i.e. fits into the 3" receiver on my truck. Any insights on this from you would be appreciated, it looks strong to me, but I'm new to the trailer towing environment and don't want to mess up. Thanks, John
  17. Steve, with the upgraded bulldog, did you get the bolt on or weld on version? I'm not able to do a weld on. From the product documentation it appears you need to drill them yourself as I don't see any holes in their drawings...I appreciate any feedback you may have on these solutions. Thanks, John
  18. I got a pair of those heavy rubber ones like Buzzy at Harbor Freight...for about $6 each if I'm remembering correctly.
  19. I too am interested in insight from anyone that has interest in the Lagun table, from the web, it looks like these types of tables can be adjusted up and down as well as rotated out of the way. If anyone has further insight it would be appreciated.
  20. I was interested in this solution as well, but once my wife saw it was a no go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HkWckwXmC4 So we're stuck with the stinky slinky or the macerator we have on there now.
  21. Raspy, is that your company in the Bay Area? Redwood City? If it is would you be willing to install this fix in my Oliver as well? I'm in Redding, CA for a while and would love to get this fix installed. Thank you, John
  22. John, How do you get the "kit" for the repair? Is there a process or did you just ask for it? Thanks, John
