2008RN
Considering a 17” or 22” black stone. I have a rear storage container but it only can only hold something that is 20.5 inches front to back. The online info is greater than 20.5 for both grills. Questions: 1. Does the grease tray come off the back? 2. If the grease tray does come off how much does the save me in depth? fyi: I’m looking at stripped down models without hoods. You should get the cover. It keeps the griddle clean We also have the carry case and the Blackstone quick connect. 3 John & Susan Dorrer, 2013 F250, 6.2 gasser, 4x4, 2022 Legacy Elite 2, twin beds, Hull #1045, Jolli Olli -

Jim and Frances
We found that the 22" was too large/heavy for just the two of us and downsized to the 17" which we much prefer. We don't use the cover but do store it in a Blackstone bag, which we have found is pretty good quality and keeps the grill surface in good shape (assuming it was cleaned/oiled prior to storage). We use a basting cover stored in the trailer when we need it. We also use Flame King refillable propane bottles which I really like. Note - we have to store the grease catch can separately - can't figure a way to fit it into the grill bag. 4 SE Texas | 2021 Elite II Twin Bed # 927 "Lucy" | 2019 F250 FX4 6.

MAX Burner
We have the same 22" Black Stone rig as @John Dorrer describes above with quick disconnect for the OTT gas outlet. We keep the grease catch with its aluminum liners under the lid with the BS steam cover, a couple lodge plates, and a can of olive oil spray. The whole enchilada fits into the BS carry bag which is the last item loaded into the Tundra's bed. My bride awarded me with a folding BS cooking table for Father's Day and this current trip is its "Shake-Down" cruise - so to speak. So far, I'm loving this cooking table! 5 Art, Diane, Magnus & Oscar (double-Aaarrf!) 2022 TUNDRA 2017 LE II; Hull #226 "Casablanca" HAM call-sign: W0ABX

MAX Burner
We can fit the BS Steamer, grease catch, a spatula, and a couple Lodge plates under the lid... The stand is designed to fit either the 17" or 20" with a pattern of holes on the table top to accommodate the "feet" for either model. It all lives inside the BS travel bag - the table folds up and is packed separately. srthomsen
We prchased a 17" Blackstone griddle about a year ago and are / were planning to take it with us soon on a trip HOWEVER, we've discovered that the hose purchased on-line is not equipped with the proper fitting to connect at the griddle itself. The hose fitting that plugs into the Oliver port is correct. Its the fitting on the Blackstone end that is improper. This is a link to what I believe is necessary. IF SO, do you have a preferred supplier or might Amazon be as good as anyone else ? Any tips for seasoning the griddle or should we just follow the Blackstone instructions provided with the griddle? Half Fast Hugo
I switched from a 22" Blackstone to a Carolina Cooker griddle. Smaller footprint, easier to pack, and has a true cast iron griddle top with built in drip tray. Downside is that it doesn't have a cover so I'll have to come up with something for that. You buy the griddle and burners separate. So far, I've been really happy with it but there are a few mods I'll probably consider such as a wind screen around the base and maybe drilling a hole in the drip tray.
