jd1923 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 First time for us meeting Oliver Owners, except for @mountainoliver visiting us in Prescott late September. God bless @Steve and MA for being the hosts of our circle, just north of the original group. Texas chili, other meals, it is food that soothes the savage beast! Steve came over on our last night to invite is for pecan topped chocolate brownies and Blue Bell ice cream! Love you Steve and you have quite a partner in “MA.” We waved goodbye as we broke camp and drove off. I was so happy to meet @Ronbrink and his better half, @Mike and Carol, and several others we have conversed with on this forum, and to spend a little time getting to know each other. Conversations with @Derek B from Louisiana re mods and more, and later met his lovely wife. These are the things I remember. I forget the context, yet one guy said, “Are you JD with numbers following your name? I followed with apologies for my 1000+ strongly opinionated posts. In the words of the great Walter Brennan, a creed I believe in strongly he said, “no brag, just fact.” One final TY to @Donna and Scott. It was a great event! 2 4 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
Donna and Scott Posted October 31 Author Posted October 31 We appreciate all that attended the Texas Rally. Your attendance made this event a success. It really was the most relaxing and engaging camping we have done. We enjoyed meeting everyone, though I have to admit we might not remember your name, hull#, or where you are from, you can be sure I will look at the all pictures posted, and say "this is my Oliver Family" with pride. 1 2 #837 started this new traveling experience in the summer of 2021 and loving it. Moderators mossemi Posted October 31 Moderators Posted October 31 @Donna and Scott Although we didn’t attend the Texas Rally, we also enjoyed being interested observers from afar! We really appreciate the effort you and all of the attendees made in keeping all OTTO'S informed with updates and the photography which shared the experience with those of us not in attendance. Now I had 47 trailers ( includes the Coleman's tat used their tent) on my list that had sites, and they were all in attendance except for three, one had sold his Oliver, one stayed at home because of family medical issues and the other has small kids and just didn't make it. 70 folks enjoyed BBQ. There were about 96 folks that were at the rally. Edited October 31 by Donna and Scott 1 3 1 #837 started this new traveling experience in the summer of 2021 and loving it.
