Dave Mazone
Can anyone direct me to the Amazon product we use for the bumper molding between the propane covers? Steph and Dud B
I got mine from OTT. Out of curiosity, did yours pull loose in the middle? Our first seal came loose in the middle and would be sticking out when we got to our destination. I assumed it wasn't properly adhered at the factory and I replaced it after careful prep. The second one started doing the same thing. I think it's caused by airflow from underneath the propane cover while traveling. I removed the center section that had come loose, creating a small air gap, and it may have stopped the problem. 2 1 Stephanie and Dudley from CT. 2022 LE2, Hull #1150: Eggcelsior. Moderators topgun2 Posted November 7 Moderators Share Posted November 7 THIS is what I bought for the dog house. But, it is still in my workshop unused because I've not needed it - yet. Moderators SeaDawg Posted November 7 Moderators Share Posted November 7 (edited) We used simple door edge molding. Ours in 2008 just sat raw hood against raw base. It's been pretty good for 15 years Edited November 7 by SeaDawg 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. Patriot
@Dave Mazone If you order this for your LP tank lid and base - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAJJJ3Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 and you have a twin bed configuration, consider ordering enough material to run two strips along the rough edges of the bed rails if you have a twin bed model. Let’s just say it really takes the edge off. 😊 Edited November 7 by Patriot 1 2 1 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “XPLOR” TV 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor Retro upgrades - Truma Aventa 13.5 AC, Alcan 5 leaf pack, Alcan HD shackles & HD wet bolts, 5200lb axles. This is the 2nd time for me too. Thanks for the tip. DavePhelps
I put this on 6 or 7 years ago and it still looks like new. Check the thickness of your cover to be sure the trim will fit. There are different grip ranges available. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAJJJ3Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share&th=1 2015 Oliver Elite, Hull 107 1998 Ford E-250, 5.4 liter
