I put these on this year.  Quick trip to Lowes and pretty cheap.  Also thought the plastic vs. aluminum was a plus.  YMMV, but working good so far.

Leaving them on while towing puts your through-hull fittings at risk from road debris like a tire carcass or piece of wood.....

If you have trailer mudflaps, never mind my comment.

Yep... that's why I chose to use an inexpensive garden hose quick connect.   If it gets hit by something on the road it should break away and then it's like.. $3.50 to replace.  If it doesn't get hit then I have tree fiddy to give the loch ness monster .... If he ever comes to my door selling girl scout cookies.  :-)

Now you know the answer to the question:   What should you do if you meet the loch ness monster?       Ans:  Give him tree fiddy

I just got a set of these per Mike's recommendation.  Like most things that RV Water Filter Store carries, theses are really high quality.  They're surprisingly heavy, probably because the plastic housing is a really dense material that almost feels like ceramic.  Mine came with plastic male connectors of the same dense material rather than aluminum, and they're replaceable in case one breaks.  The covers are thick rubber and grip well on the connectors.  The included plugs that allow you to keep your hoses looped together to keep them clean is a nice bonus. One drawback is that the round filter washers don't work with these so I'll have to get some flat ones.

I wish I could get them in colors so my wife could get the right hose on the right water inlet, or drain. It hard having to get out of the recliner and point out what goes where and why.

What I like about the RVH2O 105 degree quick connect is that it makes an almost 90 degree down spout for the city and fresh water connections. They also sell a 90 degree for the winterization/fresh water and black tank flush connectors that are at right angles. But you better hurry if you want the 105’s because RVH2O has d/c’d them and the RV water filter store website is the only one that still has some that I know of. Also, the whole idea about quick connects in my opinion is to leave them on so I can quick connect and disconnect my hoses upon arrival, etc. I mean between the water pressure regulator, the water filter, the water splitter, the 10 hose, the 5 ft hose, and the dirty hose.... that’s a lot of connections to whittle down.

@John, I did see your post before it vanished. I agree, Eley makes great products as well. I have several of their products in use at home as you can see in the pic below.
