  1. Well, I guess that' s "throwing the baby out with the bathwater". C'mon guys lighten up. Oliver is a production line trailer. True they do bend over backwards to accomodate requests, but these things are not custom built. My guess is there is another reason to leave the black tank in. Prolly to do with certification.

  2. Just drove west on I 40 so jealous of seeing all those casitas. I had one and miss it greatly I thought about an escape trailer as I was tired of the rivets but from my research they are growing to quickly and the quality is going down hill I hope the 50k on this trailer will provide a quality trailer I understand they all have issues but they are close to home, 5 hours, so I can bring in for repairs I hope I am excited to order one next year

  3. I have to agree. For its small size, Oliver has been very willing to incorporate new features into its production line. It wouldn't surprise me if their R&D folks are some of the same guys assembling these quality trailers.

  4. Not knowing the layout or dimensions of the tanks, it's hard for me to guess how difficult it would be for them to switch them up. If I remember correctly, the fresh water is on the passenger side and the black is on the driver side, so connecting them together might mean adding pumps or connections which would be difficult or even impossible to service once the tubs are put together. The other solution I guess would be to swap the sides of the fresh/grey tanks - I don't know how difficult that would be. It's always been a mystery to me why the grey tank is larger than the fresh water tank to begin with. It's not an ideal solution, I admit - but I'm pleased that Oliver understands that people are looking for alternatives to the black tank, and they are at least searching for solutions.

  5. I knew that I'd seen that somewhere. It looks great. We had asked Robert about this very thing when we toured the factory. This was before I'd seen your photos, and he told me then that they didn't have a good solution for use with the fiber granite. We talked about a few options - specifically about mounting the bottom of the divider to the side of the cabinet using metal spacers so that the divider could clear the edge of the countertop, as opposed to attaching to the top. I'd be curious if their new option is like yours or more like what he and I talked about - though either would be fine for me. Regardless, it's nice to know that they're listening and responding to what prospective buyers are looking for. We had also asked about an induction cooktop and a frosted glass look for the upper cabinet doors, both of which are now options (not that I take credit for any of that - I assume we are one of many who've asked for the same).

  6. Hi Keith, If you are trying to match a color exactly.... I would recommend that you visit a local sign store that has an Oracal 651 color book. That's what i did to match the blue stripe to the flame blue of the F150. Monitors won't give you true colors. Depends on how exact you need to be. Scotty

  7. https://www.barkermfg.com/auto-drains.html Be sure to note this rather obvious warning: "Holding tanks should be emptied before installation, this is highly recommended" LOL. I spit all over my keyboard..... John Davies Spokane WA

  8. Just received an email from Christine. The NH toilet installation is in place of the standard flush toilet, but everything else in the black system remains - black tank, fresh and waste plumbing, dump valve, and shut-off valve. She said it is not practical to install a fresh water tank or storage underneath and it would be too hard and costly to install a regular toilet if the other parts were not there. Cost of the Natures Head option is $800. Sorry, but IMHO this is utter BS. If I wanted TWO complete waste systems I would be happy as can be, but this approach is bogus. If Oliver is going to offer the composting toilet, then they should engineer and offer a creative solution for 2.5 cubic feet of unused space under the bathroom floor. I am bummed. How about you guys? John Davies Spokane WA
