  1. Hello, Just a heads up to everyone that places links in your posts. Right now most people link and it actually takes you away from the site. Until they enable advanced linking I will show you some basics in order to make a link to a item or another site that will open in a new window/tab so that you dont leave the site and have to hit back and what not. This example will be a link to google notice how it takes you away from the page. https://www.google.com Below is a example of opening in a different window so you never leave the forum. Trust me your readers will appreciate this. https://www.google.com If you click the link button and add your link then then click the Text button and place this bit of code in at the end of the url code it opens in a new window. Look at the below example and the little bit of code you need to add is highlighted in yellow. Now the bonus is if we can get the folks from Oliver to enable advanced link editing for posts it makes it a lot easier. At that point you simply click insert link then click the gear icon and paste your link in and select open in new window. Hope this helps everyone out! Feel free to reply if you have questions or want to use this topic as a spot to test your hand at it.

  3. Testing: Let’s all go to the Airstream Forum in a new window… I find that the "gear" icon on the Insert/edit link tab, is already there but it only shows up if you submit a post and the edit it!!!! Obviously, as says, there is some "Error In The System" But your method works for now (What's up here, Matt?). Thanks for the information.

  4. Hello all, For years I have owned a Toy Hauler and pulled it with my Ram 2500 so I never lacked for storage options. Since my Ollie Purchase I have come to realize that its time to leverage my tow vehicle. I typically camp with 2 easy up shades/netted cover areas extra propane tanks for my cooking / lighting needs and my new generator shows up this coming week. That being said I will now be loading my Dirt bikes into the back of my truck along with all the gear. I do a mix of regular camping and boon docking with my dirt bikes. So what Im looking for is some suggestions on a Cover that is secure for when Im camping without the bikes in a more populated area but is easily able to be removed when Im taking the bikes with. Does anyone have one they already use? I seen in one of Buzzys videos a cover so Im hoping he will weigh in on this subject and Im positive most of the people here are running trucks instead of SUVs.

  5. Roberth, thanks for the info. I think many of us will find it helpful. John, the team, and especially Matt, work hard to make the site accessible and as quick as possible. Fixes can take time, with the proliferation of devices,os,and browsers. Seems like some one os or browser gets short shrift with every forum in which I participate. As you well know, a fix for most can actually slow others. Sorry if that has happened to you. This one moves faster than I can work on my tablet, lol. Our hope here for all concerned is to provide a congenial free exchange of ideas on our favorite topic here, Oliver travel trailers. For all of you, if you have an issue, please feel free to pm one of the mods. We thank all of you for great ideas and thoughtful contributions. Any forum is a work in progress, and in its new form, this one especially. Thanks for all your patience, everyone, as we move forward. Sherry

  6. It's July 11 so that would make it our anniversary, yeah, 53 years, all good of course. So, what do we do to make it special, yeah, bale hay, oh well it was only 90 degrees today and hot. It's always hot when you are putting up hay. And we only had 125 bales, so not to bad. All our horses died of old age, and we traded horse back riding for Oliver camping. Called moving on to the next station in life. Now we are still stuck with one old cow that may just live forever. We should be putting her in the freezer and leave the hay in the field. Oh well, such is life. Oh and the hay baler is a Oliver too. It has up to today been a royal pain in the neck, keeping the knotter working, but today it was perfect, every single bale was tied perfect. Could it be the Oliver parked next to the house is shedding some of it's karma on the old Oliver baler? We sure hope so. Now with the hay in the barn, we can now start packing up the good Oliver for a trip with the Grandson to Cape Canerval for a rocket launch. Let the fun begin. Stan

  7. Congrats on the anniversary. As for fond memories of bailing hay I didnt realize that was possible. I set a lot of pipe and bailed a lot of hay and the only fond part was getting paid. :) But what I do remember was actually running the equipment and that I do have fond memories of. I will take any day on my tractor over sitting at a desk coding or fixing systems. And Camping tops being on my tractor... specially if Im far enough out that I dont get cell service. Enjoy your trip!

  8. Hi all, I am finally getting around to introducing my self and Olive Oyl. I picked her up on May 11th but unfortunately had to get right back to Maine and back to work. I am very new to RVing, the learning cure has been quite steep and I'm sure i have a ways to go. I work in health care and most days i hit the ground running it's not unusual for me to be up and on call 36 to 48 hours at a time, Olive here is my escape. People keep asking me were i want to go, i honestly have no idea, I'll figure it out when i get there. I'm sure I'll be posting questions, this community seems very helpful and knowledgeable. A quick shout out to Moutainborn, I'm the crazy woman who kept getting you to stop in Bangor ME, thank you, your help was invaluable. It took awhile but it finally happened!
