We are planning an Alaska trip in 2018, perhaps heading out after the Oliver Rally or thereabouts.2 points

Looking at glaciers from a distance and going inside are 2 different things. If you get the chance to take a guided tour on or inside a glacier, then do it. I was the guide many years ago for a few groups in to different glaciers around the Anchorage area. Being surrounded by the Blue ice is one of the most incredible feelings that you will ever experience.2 points

Hi, We plan to be Oliver owners later this year. My wife of 50 years and I are flyfishermen who travel to fish for trout. We have been to the northern tip of Newfoundland to the southern tip of New Zealand, but never to Alaska. Next Spring we will go first to northern PA and then off to Alaska. We hope to have exchanges with other Oliver owners about our trailer, alaska, fly fishing ,etc. Bruce and Lois2 points

As an example, just got word from a friend living in the eastern part of our county that her rain gauge, which maxed out at 4.5 inches, was overflowing yesterday from a single downpour. This is my favorite season here. The rain can be intense but short lived. Our summer monsoon season is often referred to as our "fifth season." Attached is a photo of Cave Creek/Portal area of the Chiricahua Mountains.1 point

Thank you for taking the time to post the photos "Spike;" your interior is exactly the look & feel I'm going for. Your tag line reminds me ... “There are your fog people & your sun people, he said. I said I wasn't sure which kind I was. He nodded. Fog'll do that to you, he said.” ― Brian Andreas1 point

I knew AZ was getting some rain, but it would never have occurred to me there is a monsoon season down in the southwest this time of year. Let alone green, and relatively cool. I've always thought of the SW as being the inferno this time of year, shows you what I know. Long haul from here but something to think about.1 point

Hello everyone! Allow me to introduce myself, Dave Armold from Mount Joy, Pa. I am pleased to be picking up Hull # 247 on August 17. Great delivery timing as I will be able to view the solar eclipse from Fall Creek Falls, Tn. on the drive back home. I thought it fitting to name the Oliver " Eclipse ".1 point

Been retired a couple of times. Hope it sticks this time. But, that being said, I have never met anyone that said, "I wish I had worked longer"...1 point

If you do some research on the Lonseal, you'll find it's supposed to be highly durable...thus a big play in our decision since, we wanted the Legacy II to truly be a legacy.1 point

Congrats on making one of the best decisions of your life...ordering one of these works of art. I made a change on the flooring about 2 to 4 weeks into the build. I was told that the floor is one of the last steps, very late in the build. That makes sense as that would help keep it from marring, etc. We finally chose the Lonseal flooring. It really, truly makes the interior look like a incredibly high class yacht. They are pretty much use to changes while building.1 point

We thought the same thing about the sample. We also went with the black/grey theme as you did with the graphics/awning/countertop, but we chose our own fabric from Sunbrella. They have discontinued the Canyon Aspen. We had wanted that. They do have a replacement for it. Not sure what they are calling it. I call it the "new grey floor". Anita sent me the attached pic. She said they didn't have hard samples available yet but we took a leap of faith and went with it. Can't wait to see the final result (October). -Angela1 point

We live in SE Arizona, where the summer monsoons have, once again, made our area green, relatively cool, and beautiful. No fires. I highly recommend camping in the eastern side of the Chiricahua Mountains in the Coronado NF. Check out Cave Creek (not to be confused with the town north of Phoenix) near Portal, AZ.1 point

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. We have rarely had cell service since leaving for the summer. The new bike rack works great! We have been in the Colorado rockies since July 1 and have had the camper down many dirt forest service roads with the bike loaded. Everything is stable with little movement even on the rough roads.
