THIS PRODUCTION RUN IS NOW CLOSED. I have enough work for the next two week. Shower Mats are next, for those of you who have been asking. I will post it shortly. With summer coming to a close and a few weeks before we hit the road on our next camping adventure, I am going to take orders for cutting boards. Cutting boards are made to your specific sink size. They are Hondurans Mahogany and Rock Maple done in a ship decking pattern They are designed to stay in place when traveling and can be used on both sides. Cost $75 plus UPS charges to ship to your address. If you would like one please contact me at cell 516 635-5656 or email 48ocean@gmail.com Please note: These are wood and as such will need a little care from time to time. Cutting boards should be cleaned and dried after each use and a coat of plain mineral oil applied once a month to keep up their glow.3 points

Many silicone adhesive sealants are for compression gasket applications. After I removed what I believed to be 3M 4000 two times on the rear exterior Oliver LED lens above the rear window, did not want to remove it again since it's very tough stuff. Both times water leaked down from the LED housing, between the inner and outer camper shells around the rear window dripping from the bottom of the rear window onto the curbside mattress. Ended up using a flexible Marine silicone sealant to mount/seal the lens. This silicone is a multi purpose marine sealant/adhesive for above and below water applications (compression gasket) and it also bonds to fiberglass, plastic, wood, glass, metal, and ceramic tiles. No leaks for over a year since using marine silicone to seal/secure the exterior LED lens.2 points

We're Tom amd Marie Martin and we're "soon to be" new Oliver owners of a Legacy Elite II (twin bed model). Our Hull No. will be #382 and we are excited to be joining the Oliver family. We have owned "several"different campers from a motor home to tag a-longs and fifth wheels since we began camping approximately 40 years ago. We visited the factory last October after hearing about the quality of Oliver Travel Trailers and .... long story short...we were amazed. Can't wait to meet fellow owners on the road and at the rallies. Tom and Marie Martin ( tomar)1 point

Im not a expert on this but I was always told by previous fiberglass manufactures (Escape & Casita) not to use silicone because it will not bond to gel coat and will eventually allow water underneath.1 point

Not to be a smart ***, but as I try to go places where cell signals don't, I don't rely on them for weather - over time... especially in higher altitudes. Sure I'll look at the long range forecasts, but I often try to be prepared for whatever the season will throw at me. If there is something looming, I adjust appropriately, however, I must admit - I've never wondered about air quality. When we go out for a day long hike - I take the appropriate stuff, - just in case. If we are out for weeks - we just deal with what the day brings. Grin and bear it. Course - I've been know to paddle whitewater while its freezing water on the paddle shaft, and icicles are forming on the rock ledges - and it was winter - sure it was gonna be cold, I was looking for the sun to come out, and if it did - mo better. I love what technology, the WWW, and all these cool apps do for us, but to be honest, I don't rely on technology to keep me safe when I'm out side, well anywhere really. I'm convinced, Mother Nature goes out of her way to piss me off, so I just grin back, cuss a little, ok a lot, and go on. By the way, John, you do post lots of really good information - please keep them coming.1 point

Thanks for that suggestion. I found a nest, cleaned it out, and put the cover back on. The next day, the nest was back. I felt sorry for the birds' wasted work but took the new nest out and left the cover off for a couple of days to discourage further attempts. I need to get back up there before next spring to implement mountainoliver's solution.1 point

I've installed 2 in previous 5th wheels, and 1 in a friend's. I like them. I've purchased the meter and controller for my Elite II but haven't installed yet. The only difference is that I got the larger meter rather than the RV slender unit since it will be replacing the existing ZAMP. It fits into a double gang electrical box, and still it's not wide enough to cover the hole that will be left from the removal of the ZAMP. My solution will be to get a blank 3 or 4 gang blank to cover the hole, and then cut out a hole for the Bogart. I think the Bogart controller can be mounted on the back side of the meter box, or right in the area. The existing wires will need to have the connectors cut of, or use some short 10 gauge jumper/adapters to convert from the eye connector to the bare stripped ends needed for the Bogart. The reason for that is that I can reversed the install should I want to revert to the ZAMP if I want to sell the trailer or something. The only issue I have not worked out is where to mount the shunt. And after you get the shunt mounted and installed between battery ground and chassis ground, the 3 (as I remember) small ground wires that go the the negative battery terminals will need to be rerouted to the chassis ground side of the shunt for the meter to work proper. And of course the 4 or 5 wires going to the meter connectors, but that won't be an issue. Plan to tackle it soon. Still pretty cold here. I'll post pictures when I get to it. Brad1 point
