  1. To clarify a prior post, there is a flow restrictor in the water line going to the bathroom faucet, to remove it you just unscrew the shower head from the flexible water line, the restrictor is in the end of the hose, I just pried it out with a small screwdriver and reattached the shower head. 2. Try this link to the Easy-Start manual. The learning process is on page 22. Mike

  3. I’ve wondered about this, it just seems like the AS has a lot more interior space not just because of the extra width. There’s a 23’ AS that is stored next to my Oliver, I’m going to measure next time I’m over there. Mike

  4. Overland, We have camped with friends with an Airstream, and I think you are mistaken. I looked on the Airstream web site, and it says: "All Airstream Travel Trailer exterior lengths are measured from the center of the hitch to the end of the rear bumper." On Airforums people said they are measured from "ball to bumper." One major difference is that the tongue on the Oliver is much longer than on most trailers. Airstreams have a smaller tongue, and thus the cabin on a 23 foot Airstream is longer than on a 23 foot Oliver. I doubt the difference is five feet.

  5. Hello, The elevated bed option does not allow you to sit comfortably on the bed (IE, use it as a couch). However it gives you a lot of much needed storage. It's true that the elevated twin bed is no longer offered in an effort to provide a more standard unit. The factory is steering away from custom options. Our trailer #241 was picked up about 2 years ago and was the last elevated twin bed unit made. If you're interested in a well equipped unit with almost every option offered, contact me. We have made our last trip in it and are in the process of unloading and cleaning and will be offered in almost like new condition. It has been stored inside most of it's life. 6. In Eco mode there is a noticeable lag while the engine speed increases. With a high load the generator “may” not be able to handle all that current and “may” kick off the over current protection circuit breaker. It won’t hurt anything, there will be a big sag in the voltage that you can see on your surge protector panel. If the air conditioning picks up and runs properly, don’t worry about it, if it doesn’t work right, switch off Eco when running that high load. One thing to understand when you shut down a Honda with that big rotary switch. It kills the spark and also the fuel supply at the same time. When you have the engine turning full rpm, somewhere around 3600 rpm I think, it stays spinning for quite a few revolutions. This sucks raw unburned gas from the carb into the cylinder. This tends to flood the spark plug and it also washes away oil from the cylinder walls. Not especially good..... If you put it in Eco before shutting down, the engine rpm is lower and the amount of inhaled gas is reduced. My Yamaha 2400 has a separate fuel shutoff, which I really like, since I can turn off that gas valve and let it run until it dies, draining the carb (mostly), and then turn off the ignition. It starts way easier the next time than my EU1000i ever did, usually with a single pull. The Honda rarely did that. So with any Honda, remember to unplug the cord, switch to Eco, let it idle for a minute to cool down, then turn it off..... And BTW, the Yamaha has an Eco mode but no switch to turn it on or off. I kinda wish there was one. John Davies Spokane WA
