Electric back flow preventer? Is this something new and standard or an upgrade? Does it replace the pull handle down near the floor by the toilet? I looked at the pictures and do not see the thermostat anywhere. Maybe by the entrance door? Thanks...

2 30lb. tanks will hold a little more than 3 20 lb. tanks. Guess it all depends on what you are charged per gallon. A Tractor Supply (and others) charges about a dollar a gallon less than some other places, including the exchange programs. Guess the true gauge will be the weight. Will a taller tank, weighing 10 lb. more, be that much harder to lift into place? Hopefully the fill station person is young and strong? Also, and you may know, both of those size tanks fit in a milk crate. Keeps those tanks from rolling around in your tow vehicle, if you don't take your trailer to the fill site..

We will just leave the hose hooked up. No need to remove. Somewhere in the hose will be a clear rigid piece so that we can see it clear.

Does it matter if air or nitrogen is in the tire? I would think not, as numbers are pressure driven? TPMS is an interesting subject that we had not considered, but now will become a priority. We have them in our vehicles, and they have flagged problems early enough to save many times over the systems potential cost. Thank you...

I heard he was going to "adopt" a cow, for a UNH course he was taking. My guess is this will take plenty of his time. The drama and misinformation created by one individual has made a lot of us want to drop out, or at least drop back. Also that showed a need for an "ignore" button...

Rubber Gaskets Around Porch Lights

Downward pointing and LED make the new light worth it to me. The rest we shall overcome. Will be interesting going forward to see how OTT resolve.- 97 replies

So it seems the streaking is only with the new LED lights, whenever they switched to those?- 97 replies

Rubber Gaskets Around Porch Lights

I was under the impression that Karen and Reed's role were only to make a dash to OTT, to pick up their new unit. They are following this thread as they travel, when they can. We can only assume they will discuss this issue thoroughly and report back. That is how we have read this.- 97 replies

Rubber Gaskets Around Porch Lights
Mainiac replied to Mike and Carol's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Of course the second issue is the gasket under the 110 outlet. Does the lamp supplier and the outlet supplier both use the same gasket supplier? Now that OTT is aware of a potential problem, I no longer see where it is my problem?- 97 replies

Rubber Gaskets Around Porch Lights
Mainiac replied to Mike and Carol's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
The idea of a "bunch" of owners gathering, to fund and make gaskets is a fun mental image. All to bail out the 'mothersbip', is just a little reach for family members to make. What was Tommy's role at Oliver? I heard in a newsletter there is a new Sales Manager though they haven't reached out yet. Jason is listed as a Service Manager, there is a purchasing department (I have been told), I think there must be someone in overall charge that can demand a successful $.57 gasket!- 97 replies

Rubber Gaskets Around Porch Lights
Mainiac replied to Mike and Carol's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
From what I am reading: when a problem is mentioned in the forum, they get a lot of calls at the factory. After a while the calls fade. So, if they do nothing, the problem goes away? If the gasket problem is not the factory who makes them, who's problem is it? Is the final answer that they are going to do nothing about it? The black streaks are atmospheric? Not sure about you, but this seems unacceptable...- 97 replies

Wrenches...what do you carry in your tool box?
Mainiac replied to Mainiac's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Isn't the Tundra foreign? -
I am making and going to carry two 6 X 6 X 11" blocks. For uneven sites. Evidently the jacks take quite a bit of juice, which is a concern if on batteries. Will also carry some other 2 x 6", in other assorted sizes for the front and to sit on the 6 X 6" when on it's side...

Wrenches...what do you carry in your tool box?
Mainiac replied to Mainiac's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I have the chocks, flashlight, meters, screwdriver set, tape measures, tarps. Lucky for me it is next to a fabric store, so I get to visit on a regular basis. It is sort of a 'checks and balance' type system... -

Picked up a new 24" breaker bar today at Harbor Freight for 8.99 (coupon). The chrome must have cost almost that much. They also had breaker bars, with rachets built in. Interesting... -

Wrenches...what do you carry in your tool box?
Mainiac replied to Mainiac's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Guess what I was really asking was; is the Oliver basically std. or metric? I know an adjustable is std. on one side, and flip it over and it's metric. Prefer not to use adjustables but do carry a couple and slip joints. -

Are they Std., Metric, or a combo? -
they seemed to use whatever pail they had. I'd guess about a cup to a gallon or so. They usually scrubbed with a stiffer brush the Reliable, if it hadn't been done in a while or before. Amazing how dirty the fabric can get, and how labor intensive it can be to clean. Hence 3 square feet at a time. The oil soap was usually done with a semi soft brush on a long handle to work it into the embossing of the fabric. And then lightly rinsed. The light soap residue seemed to be what released the soil the next time...

Cleaning an awning? Any secrets? At a CG we were at in the western mountains of Maine a lot of the seasonals would leave their awning out all season. They would just lower when they were away. Usually at the end of the season they would wash with a product called Reliable. They would do about 3 square feet at a time. When all done, they would put about a cup of Murphy's Oil Soap in a pail of warm water, and redo the awning with a brush and rinse. They would look like new. Next season the oak dropping, pine pitch and needles, and fine dust would rinse right off. Hardly any effort. Also that Reliable to those stubbon black streaks off those stick built trailers...

Nice job: Well Done. Feel a lot better about the whole process. It is doable. Looks like he sink plumbing isn't going anywhere, and would stand up to rough roads...

Was a razor blade what you used to remove the panel? Easy to do? Did you have to remove the old caulk to reinstall? What did you recaulk with? I don't see any screws. Any concerns other than the reducer? Would a self tapping screw held the duct on?
