  1. We often want to be able to look out our door window, as it is the tallest window in the trailer and would be the easiest to look out of while standing. (I'm 6'5") After wishing for a clear window on the door for some time, I decided to trade it out for a smoked see through window. The glass was ordered through the LCI, the OEM of our windows. ($44.95 for the tempered glass and $20.95 for the 16 very overpriced "window keys" require to remove the interior window frame.) The installation was simple and we think the mod is great. We love that we can now see out the window and use it all of the time. I am reaching out to share the mod for anyone who may be interested and ask for ideas for a innovative window treatment that aren’t easily found on the internet. Thank you for any ideas you may have! Andrew
  2. I use a LockNLube and it works well but I need to remove the tires to get to all of the zerks.
  3. Mark, We have had no problems with our heater. We have camped in the desert and at as high as 8,700 feet without problem. Andrew
  4. Topgun2, Can you leave the cover on the AC while you travel? Andrew
  5. Thanks for the idea. I haven’t come up with any good ideas. Please let me know what you come up with when you get your trailer. Andrew
  6. Do you have a particular recommendation? Thanks, Andrew
  7. This what Oliver told me they use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005IU1OCK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Mystik 665005002080 Red Andrew
  8. Janis, I don't want to say Oliver is wrong but, unless the inverter is an inverter/charger, or they are installing something completely new, you will need to change the charger/converter. I am not aware of Progressive Dynamics making a converter/charger that is adjustable. It is either set up to charge wet cell/AGM batteries or lithium batteries and their charging profiles are completely different. When Oliver is referring to the "charger", they may mean the Zamp solar controller. It is a charger and it can be set to lithium. If you aren't sure, I would suggest calling the experts at Battle Born. Andrew
  9. Janis, the converter/charger is on the left side of the power panel and is removed by removing the power panel cover, one screw and five wires. The install of the new converter/charger is just the opposite. As for the battery monitor. My installation required two crimp on wire lugs, a small piece of PVC foam board and some epoxy glue. The only drilling into the fiberglass was the hole for the monitor. The Victron battery monitor can be connected to a cell phone via Bluetooth and the Victron Connect app. If you prefer to monitor your batteries from the app, the monitor can be installed out of sight and not require any hole to be drilled. 10. I don't know if this helps, but all you have to do is subtract the radius of 16.25" from the length and width and I think you have the measurements you are looking for. In other words, the radius starts 16.25" from each of the two corners where the radius cut is made.
  11. Janis, I have installed two 100Ah Battle Born batteries, changed out the Progressive Dynamics converter/charger with the PD4060LI and installed a Victron BMV-712 battery monitor. The batteries and converter/charger change out are very easy. The converter/changer involves one screw and five wires. Battle Born recommended the change out of the converter/charger to get the most out of the batteries. The charging parameters for LiFePO4 batteries is very different from Lead Acid and AGM batteries. I have helped a few Oliver owners and installers do the same. I would be happy to walk you through it. If you would like to discuss further, please message me. Andrew
  12. Do you have the fan set to Auto?
  13. What you see in the first picture is a grove worn in the bracket from the link rubbing against it. When the chain is inserted into the bracket, the rub marks line up. The 3rd and 4th pictures are of the chain from the opposite side. Anderson has offered two new chains. That is nice of them but, it does not solve the rubbing problem. Andrew
  14. I hate to bring up another problem with an Andersen WD Hitch but, I have a problem I am hoping someone has resolved. As directed by Andersen, I compress the red bushings 1/4" when tightening the tension chain bolts. While towing, I get metal on metal groaning sounds coming from the tension chain mounting brackets, on the trailer. I removed the end bolts from the bracket and found indications rubbing wear on the link welded to the bolt, the first chain link and on the inside of the mounting brackets. (Pictured) The sound can be heard almost all the way to highway speeds and loosening the chain does not help. Andersen suggested tightening the chains even more but I have already reduced the chain length buy one link and have the chains as tight as I am comfortable making them. Thoughts? Thanks, Andrew
  15. They work great! Don't forget a second set of chalks. The Andersen Jack Blocks work great as well and minimize the need to run the jacks up and down so much. Andrew
  16. Bill, Thank you for your response and clarification, it is much appreciated. Andrew
  17. Not only why would you do this but why share it? You're a Moderator?
  18. David, Thanks for the thought but the antenna is connected, for what the standard antenna is worth. Even in a major metro area, the receptions is affected by anyone in the area of the driver's side bed. It is good to hear the optional antenna works! I don't want to put a hole in the roof so it looks like a portable radio it is. Thanks again. Andrew
  19. David, Do you have the standard antenna attached to the window or, the antenna that is part of the TV antenna? Andrew
  20. I agree, Oliver Travel Trailers are quality built and in my opinion nothing else comes close. The components are where you may find some problems. Oliver does a good job picking the best they can find but they are limited to what is available. We have had a few issues with components. Bad radio, moisture between the pains of the bathroom window and dry rotted shock bushings. In each incident, I let Cindy/Jason know of the problem and within a week, I had the replacement. I am handy so, I have corrected the problems myself and have enjoyed doing it. Each time, Oliver has offered for me to take it to a repair facility of my choice and stated they would work with them to get the parts needed and to schedule the repair. So far, I couldn't be happier with their service. Thank you Cindy and Jason! Andrew
  21. Don't forget the 26% federal income tax credit for solar in 2020. That includes all parts and labor. Last year's 30% credit covered our generator! Andrew
  22. John, Do you have a satellite radio in your trailer? Andrew
  23. We have a 2019 Elite II with the standard Jensen radio and antenna. We did not order the TV antenna with the built in radio antenna. The standard radio antenna is powered and mounts vertically to the interior of the window directly below the radio. Unless we are in a major metro area, we get no reception at all and have to carry a portable. We have found that even the most basic handheld radio get far better reception. Is it the Jensen radio or the antenna? If it is the antenna, which I suspect, has anyone replaced theirs? Thanks for the help/advice. Andrew
  24. Bill, Ours came standard and it is attached to the right panel, inside the rear attic storage. Easy to see if you need to but unobtrusive. Andrew
