  1. These stack well, too. We have several.
  2. Me, too
  3. We've had test for over a decade. Works well. Customer service and turnaround time on replacement excellent. Long warranty. Only system we've owned, so can't compare.
  4. It misses some good sources near me, but it's still a good start. Five or six years ago, we drove several miles across county,, for non ethanol. Still felt it was worth it. Today, two miles. On my route to mom's. Easy peasy.
  5. This won't find all the non ethanol spots, but it's a start, when you're traveling. https://www.pure-gas.org/
  6. We do, too. When we didn't (a long time ago, when ethanol addition became the norm), we had a rash of carb failures from weed whacker to small power boat motor. We felt they were all related. Definitely easier to find non ethanol, these days. Definitely a bit pricier. But, so worth it.
  7. There has been chatter about graphics. As in, no graphics on the sheet? Please let us know what you find out.
  8. The thing that has killed us over the years is non-ethonol, untreated gas. Never had a problem with the Honda, til we loaned it out. Bam. Totally suspect non ethanol gas. Crap happens in hurricane aftermath. It's working great again, after service (Paul) but we were disappointed. We take care of stuff. As best as we can, and we have 30 year old small motors still working, nicely, in other devices . The old adage: prevention is worth a pound (and days and parts) of cure.
  9. Anyway, in a few weeks, we'll let you know how the Westinghouse works out for us. We think it's a bargain, $ per watt, with a 3% quoted thd. We'll see. At the very least, it's under 50 pounds, so I can (not easily, but I can) lift and move it. Reviews say a 10 year old can pull start it, so I should still be ok. 🤣 I have no stock in Lowe's. Just passing along what I thought was a pretty good deal.
  10. Not used that one. We'll give it a try if we ever have issues. Thanks. Sta-bil and non ethanol seems to be the ticket, for us. And, emptying the carb for longer term storage.
  11. I agree, Swamp. And, BoB. Before storage. Certainly not every day! We use stabil, too.
  12. We all do. Just trying to carry "less" of more. Lol.
  13. Yes, but our honda generator doesn't have a fuel cutoff, either. We just run it out, or empty it, before putting away. Very good point, as leaving it to gum up is a very bad practice. We also use only non-ethanol fuel in our generators and other small engines.
  14. Welcome to the forum, and we're excited for you too. There are other folks on here that have also "downsized" to do more camping. I know the longer we camp, the less we carry... What's your tow vehicle?
  15. For any if you still looking for a generator, this came up in our Lowe's ad today. One day sale. I'll delete this tomorrow. 2500 peak, 2200 run time. I'm pretty sure it would run my little ac, if necessary, but that's not the purpose for us. We're adding it to the generator fleet for backup for our daughter, and to run some power tools at our camping property. Some very good reviews. At the price, we'll take a shot at it. Deleted link , as it's no longer on sale. It's $599, now.
  16. Pretty spot! (Pretty trailer, too! 😊) Thanks for sharing.
  17. Omg, the scams. What, no hot tub?
  18. And, a couple short videos, recording the sound on low from small dinette, and high from the bed. I suspect it will be a bit more quiet when I reinstall the shades, and the rest of the cushions and rugs. Sounds still echo a bit without the soft surfaces. 20210418_084422.mp4 20210418_084309.mp4
  19. I left the dehumidifier function on overnight, instead of ac, to reduce power consumption. I don't have a hygrometer, so nothing scientific to report. It certainly felt better in the trailer than the 88 per cent humidity outside. There is a low kind of pulsing "hum" when the compressor runs, barely audible above the fan. Outside the trailer, it's also very quiet. I was hesitant to run the old unit in the sideyard, because I didn't want to annoy my neighbors. So, initially, at least, we're both happy. Let's hope it doesn't get noisier with time.
  20. We picked up the trailer Friday, and I've been working on putting the interior back together. It's been warm and humid, so I enjoyed running the new quiet ac. I downloaded a decibel meter, and took a few readings from the small dinette area. Note the averages are "high", because the meter records every screenshot click as 81 decibels. On a few shots, you can see the bump of a screenshot being recorded on the graph. All the sound levels have been lower than normal conversations (60 db), so I'm confident we can sleep comfortably or carry on a conversation with the ac on.
  21. Congratulations. Since you've enjoyed your smaller Casita, I'm sure you'll love the Elite II. How long have you been full time? I'm sure there are a number of people here who would appreciate hearing your tips and experiences.
  22. Very interesting. And, nice to see "3rd party aka Tom" constructing the tests and interpreting the data. It did seem to me that the testing was weighted, though, to heavy power consumption. (Which of course, makes sense, as Tom is a heavy power user.) We are not. And, pretty sure Tom has some sponsorship with Battleborn. Just saying. I'm sure it's accurate testing. I have no doubt about his credentials or honesty. Just that I always look at testing parameters when judging.
  23. I'm so happy for you that you are (finally) getting to go camping with your Ollie. Show us some photos, if you love where you are. I've not been there.
  24. Essentially the same, as each 6v pair is wired in series, then the two pairs in parallel, for a 12v bank. Your battery manufacturer may have a more specific chart for your brand and model. I try to run ours no less than 70 per cent, to sustain battery life, And be able to charge to full each day. LA batteries don't love partial state of charge, though a day or two below full probably doesn't make a big difference.
  25. Understand that the seelevel displays the status of the moment. If your batteries are under load (furnace fan or water pump running), you'll see a lower voltage displayed, and if you are charging, you'll see a higher voltage. Wait 20 to 30 minutes with no load or charge to let the batteries settle down to get a somewhat accurate reading.
