Generator tray storage locking container
SeaDawg replied to Patriot's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Sorry, but I didn't personally find that "snarky" at all. Just another opinion. It looks nice, and fits in your basket. I can find the same container at my locally owned Ace for $11 less, and, I do try to support my local store. I so often find them helpful, and handy. But, I, too, spend quite a bit on Amazon. It just depends. Shipping cost can sometimes really drive up the price on bulky items at Amazon, and even some of the big box stores. -

Trojan AGM Battery Replacement with Bright Way Group AGMs
SeaDawg replied to WandR's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Trojan has been the "standard" to be measured against for a long time. Not sure if that's really true anymore.. But from my research, I'd have zero hesitancy buying Brightway, if I were replacing today. (I'm not.) -

Agreed. For those of us with BlueSky equipment, Ryan is a wonderful resource. Very thorough, professional, and patient. Watching the videos in the learning center is a great start, giving you some background before you talk to Ryan. -
Garage door lube works well, too.

Galway girl has a really extensive list. It's a good thing to look through, but I'm sure they'd agree, not everyone needs all that stuff. Everything depends on your camping style, and how you can use what you already have. I encourage people to get the minimum, camp a few times, and then add to the collection. As they go.

A little silicon spray helps. It's a small price to pay, imo, for the extra step. Our original step was one step. The double step makes my life so much easier. No step stool needed in awkward high steps.

240 more satellites this month. I've read that an app is in the works to move your service address. Baby steps towards mobile service? https://www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/spacex-completes-four-starlink-launches-in-a-single-month/

Easy way to repurpose an unused black tank for grey water
SeaDawg replied to NCeagle's topic in General Discussion
I've mentioned this several times, but definitely the "easiest " I can think of. Many SoB trailers drain bath sink to the black. Relatively easy plumbing retro in an Ollie. -

Then , you don't even need to worry about his process . I'm interested in more detail, as well. -

Jordanv, did you get the composting toilet? -
Looks like a nice chair. I personally like the folding chairs with runners as opposed to feet that dig into the ground, like this one. We have a few from Aldi that fold down very compact, with a small side table. Another few with side tables, not so compact. We have mana bear and papa bear sizes, and, like BoB, way too many chairs...

You and your boys are making memories that will last a lifetime. I'm really happy for all of you!

Do you really have one, or is that an early April fool's joke?

It's really a matter of preference. We've used the same smaller 5 x 7 or 8 mat for a dozen years, and another small rug or two in front of the steps. It's easier to clean and handle. 6 x 9 would also fit under the Elite awning, too. A number of places with grass sites don't allow rugs, at all, (they kill the grass) but will ignore a small walkoff mat at the door.

If you haven't done so already, I would encourage you to open a service ticket on the home screen here. Even if you fix it yourself, Oliver should be made aware of it.

You have to keep in mind that the Discovery isn't a full size suv. For a compact, it actually has a great towing capacity. Probably twice that of most in its class. Sadly, not quite enough to safely tow the Oliver Elite, because of the limited tongue weight. It could pair up with a number of lightweight teardrops though, and quite a few other options.

That's an interesting collection. I'm glad the GMC motorhome is included. I'd not seen the StarStreak before. Built here in Florida!

@T-Oliver that's the first I've looked at the parkit 360 site in years. They've changed a lot of things. The telescoping leg looks like a much safer way to attach the trailer. That was not available years ago. Much more like the eztug attachment point. Thanks for the info. Btw, I see they now offer a 7 pin connector to use the trailer brakes with some models. That's extremely useful. Does yours have the 7pin?
