pictures of various storage cubbies elite
SeaDawg replied to Moonlight Mile's topic in General Discussion
Yes, it would. I'll put that request in again. -
And, another one! Near mm 20 on I95, just north of the Florida/Georgia line. Dark pickup with a cap. Two Ollies in one day and one state. 😊

Caught a glimpse if an Elite Ii headed north on I-95, near Richmond Hill exit 90, just south of Savannah. Happy camping!

More from Gladys And, for my husband And, it's so true.

How do you know its raining in my neck of the woods?
SeaDawg replied to BackofBeyond's topic in General Discussion
We know it's raining hard, when I cook indoors. Two days of rain. Yuck. But, the jambalaya was good.... Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day. -
So, how about old (er) music Monday. https://youtu.be/MqmS961An4c

I have no idea of the brand, but Oliver installed the same ones a few years back, when our original covers looked terrible. You could open a ticket. I'm sure they're not very expensive.

Great Deals On Cellular Phone And Date Only Plans!
SeaDawg replied to AndrewK's topic in General Discussion
Thank you. Wondering how the party plan works. I'll look for further info. Looks like Visible is a great deal. -
Sounds like something we'd do... Glad you're as happy as we are. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll try to remember to come back and update on a year or so. Even at full price, it would be a decent solution for many people. I can lift it, and start it, without Paul's help, so that's an advantage over some of the more expensive units, for me. Thanks for the tip on the cover. I registered and did the review for the free cover. Cheers.🥂

That looks really nice, Jo88! I've not seen that product before. Is it 2 x 2 carpet tiles? Could you post a link, please?

Sorry about the hijack. I'll see if I can repay you with a firefly photo, tonight.

Thanks, Bill, (and your wife) for the info. First year we've seen this in this spot. Sometimes, up the mountain aways. I've always loved irises. I hope they'll spread into a bigger patch. We seem to see different wildflowers every year. These little ones (I think they're a type of violet) seem to be early spring bloomers. Only last until the trees are fully leafed out.

I love spring in western North Carolina. We see the fireflies, and the early flowers. My photos from today. New species, in the drive. Some type of tiny iris. So pretty.

Saw the first few tonight. So exciting.

We have had ours outside 24/7/365 for 13+ years, no cover. Make sure you have bug screens. Make sure you keep good wax coats up. Yours is new, but I'd do at least two coats of wax before storage. You have solar, do your batteries will be charged. Turn off all the main switches. Ventilate a bit. ( I crack the bath fan, and the central fan.) We are in a humid climate, so I tip up cushions, and leave a container of dry Z aire in each sink. I put ant gel on aluminum foil bits in the bath, kitchen, and by the door. I put some pink stuff in the drain traps, and the toilet, even in the sunmer. It evaporates more slowly than water, and keeps the seals moist in the toilet. Others will have other ideas. Depends on climate.

Yes. And remember the weather last January and February? A number of people had to postpone pickups late Jan/February.

So, yesterday, we finally had occasion to use the generator, when we built an outdoor shower and camp sink platform for the shabin, up on our camping propertyin NC. The gen was (understandably) louder, pretty close to full load, powering Paul's old 2 hp craftsman skill saw, but not very loud charging the Makita 18v batteries for the drill. But, it worked great. Our little Honda 1000 could not have powered the saw. With our solar upgrade to 400 watts fixed, and 200 watts portable, we haven't needed to connect to the Ollie yet, in a week. Weather is predicted to change though. If we get those predicted all day rains, I'll be happy to have the genset.

I like that it worked for you. Thanks for the link. I have a "new" drawer under the fridge that very occasionally comes open. This looks better than typical child safety latch.

Does Oliver sell this as an option? Just curious.

Most people do. We really monitor and squeeze power, because of our limited battery capacity. We're not honestly the model to follow. If you camp a lot in cool weather, you'll use maybe twice the amp hours, or more, running the furnace fan. However, I am always concerned that some people spend a lot on battery power, without a good reason. Some people need it, others just want it. I find these discussions interesting, too. My husband and I have been discussing lithium alternatives when our 5 year old agm batteries die. We'll probably only add one or two 100 ah lithium batteries. It will be enough, for us. Small portable generators are cheap insurance, if solar doesn't keep up, imo. -
A few threads you might enjoy There are more. A number of people here have done this trip. Mid-may is a great time to go. Not as busy. Coming home after mid-September may be problematic, because many Canadian and northern US campgrounds close after labor day. Just keep that in mind. We are particularly fond of camping in the Yukon. The Yukon territory campgrounds are 12 or 14 Canadian dollars, and free firewood. Often beautiful views, not far off the highway. I'd try to plan my route for at least two weeks in the Yukon. Northern BC is also a favorite for us. Good luck, and have fun. It's a beautiful trip. We've done it several tomes.

How long are your boondocking stretches? We're on day 5, with a compressor fridge, and two 105 ah agm batteries, 400 watts fixed solar, 200 watts portable. Granted, the weather is ideal, but we haven't broken out the generator yet. Weather has been great. 79s day, 50s night, no heat or fan needed. SO, pretty much the only things running are the fridge (around 60 amp hours per day), occasional water pump, and a few hours of led lights. Are the two discussed packages the same brand (lithionics)? -
Hi, and welcome to the forum! Very nice to see another young family, too. Have you looked at a Springfield telescoping base for the small table? That's one thought. I'm sure others will have ideas.

It's a pretty good finish, and it is ptfe free. We bought the nonstick version when it was on sale at a deep discount. If I had a do-over, I'd probably get it without the nonstick. I have a few fine scratches on the top rim of the big pot, probably from the lid rubbing during storage and motion. I used to separate them with microfiber towels, which may not have been enough. The pan separators give a thicker cushion.
