  1. This is true, around the world. And, it's really sad. I've found, and cleaned up crap, in free or cheap campsites in Australia, USA, Canada, Iceland, etc . You'd think people would appreciate and respect what they are given, but, noooo. The lower the fee, or free, the more work I usually expect to do on arrival.
  2. Welcome to the forum, and the family. Great photo! Please continue to share those!
  3. Not looking for carpeted walls. Yikes. But, carpet tiles, for floor, c removeable, could replace runners that many of us use . Waterhog makes nice products.
  4. I'd be ok with a ball bearing and a bulldog. Not an empty hitch.
  5. Susan, that lock, plus the collar lock, is what we've used for 13 years. Even if the Blaylock is cut, the collar lock would keep the hitch from opening. More effective, imo, than collar lock plus ball bearing. At least two more minutes and tools...(John's estimate).
  6. In between washing the trailer, I usually let the rain take care of cleaning the panels. Last week, we had a lot of maple whirlybird seeds flying, so I'd get on a step stool, take my cheap light string mop and lightly brush those off the panels. (I wouldn't use anything coarse or stiff that could scratch them) The seeds, like leaves, can shade the cells, of course.
  7. Yes, it would. I'll put that request in again.
  8. And, another one! Near mm 20 on I95, just north of the Florida/Georgia line. Dark pickup with a cap. Two Ollies in one day and one state. 😊
  9. Caught a glimpse if an Elite Ii headed north on I-95, near Richmond Hill exit 90, just south of Savannah. Happy camping!
  10. More from Gladys And, for my husband And, it's so true.
  11. We know it's raining hard, when I cook indoors. Two days of rain. Yuck. But, the jambalaya was good.... Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day.
  12. So, how about old (er) music Monday. https://youtu.be/MqmS961An4c
  13. I have no idea of the brand, but Oliver installed the same ones a few years back, when our original covers looked terrible. You could open a ticket. I'm sure they're not very expensive.
  14. Thank you. Wondering how the party plan works. I'll look for further info. Looks like Visible is a great deal.
  15. Sounds like something we'd do... Glad you're as happy as we are. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll try to remember to come back and update on a year or so. Even at full price, it would be a decent solution for many people. I can lift it, and start it, without Paul's help, so that's an advantage over some of the more expensive units, for me. Thanks for the tip on the cover. I registered and did the review for the free cover. Cheers.🥂
  16. That looks really nice, Jo88! I've not seen that product before. Is it 2 x 2 carpet tiles? Could you post a link, please?
  17. Sorry about the hijack. I'll see if I can repay you with a firefly photo, tonight.
  18. Thanks, Bill, (and your wife) for the info. First year we've seen this in this spot. Sometimes, up the mountain aways. I've always loved irises. I hope they'll spread into a bigger patch. We seem to see different wildflowers every year. These little ones (I think they're a type of violet) seem to be early spring bloomers. Only last until the trees are fully leafed out.
  19. I love spring in western North Carolina. We see the fireflies, and the early flowers. My photos from today. New species, in the drive. Some type of tiny iris. So pretty.
  20. Saw the first few tonight. So exciting.
  21. We have had ours outside 24/7/365 for 13+ years, no cover. Make sure you have bug screens. Make sure you keep good wax coats up. Yours is new, but I'd do at least two coats of wax before storage. You have solar, do your batteries will be charged. Turn off all the main switches. Ventilate a bit. ( I crack the bath fan, and the central fan.) We are in a humid climate, so I tip up cushions, and leave a container of dry Z aire in each sink. I put ant gel on aluminum foil bits in the bath, kitchen, and by the door. I put some pink stuff in the drain traps, and the toilet, even in the sunmer. It evaporates more slowly than water, and keeps the seals moist in the toilet. Others will have other ideas. Depends on climate.
  22. Yes. And remember the weather last January and February? A number of people had to postpone pickups late Jan/February.
  23. So, yesterday, we finally had occasion to use the generator, when we built an outdoor shower and camp sink platform for the shabin, up on our camping propertyin NC. The gen was (understandably) louder, pretty close to full load, powering Paul's old 2 hp craftsman skill saw, but not very loud charging the Makita 18v batteries for the drill. But, it worked great. Our little Honda 1000 could not have powered the saw. With our solar upgrade to 400 watts fixed, and 200 watts portable, we haven't needed to connect to the Ollie yet, in a week. Weather is predicted to change though. If we get those predicted all day rains, I'll be happy to have the genset.
  24. I like that it worked for you. Thanks for the link. I have a "new" drawer under the fridge that very occasionally comes open. This looks better than typical child safety latch.
  25. Does Oliver sell this as an option? Just curious.
