  1. It is not possible to set an alarm that I have seen. That would be handy.
  2. I would love to see a pic of this install when you have a chance. No hurry. It's something I've been meaning to do. The Lithionics App drives me nuts. Thanks! mb
  3. Love this! My BIL is visiting for 7 weeks this summer -- he's always looking for a project, so I'm putting this one on his list! 🙂 @MarkV
  4. Thanks for the recommendation! I haven't had a moment to dig deeper on this to decide between repair/replacement/patch with a bigger piece of aluminum, but having this recommendation in pocket is great. You never know....
  5. We were in Southern Colorado (John Martin Reservoir) when it happened, though we have been getting our fair share of ridiculous wind in Boulder this year, too. More than a dozen Red Flag days in April alone!
  6. Looks fun! And it might fit in with a trip to Paso we are planning for earlier that month.
  7. UPDATE: I performed an LP Drop test on the gas line this week, after tightening up the suspected connection at the furnace, and we have no more leaks. For those wondering, the best place to do the drop test for us turned out to be the outdoor propane quick-connect. My local hardware store had a quick connect fitting with a hose barb on the other end that fit our manometer tube perfectly. SO happy that we can head out for our 10 day boondocking trip and not worry about the propane. (After we install the replacement propane/CO detector Oliver sent under warranty, of course.)
  8. Such a beautiful part of the country. Camped on the south side of 70 a few years ago and did some long gravel rides on the north side. Returning is definitely on the list!
  9. Well, I actually had to go outside and look...not something that had registered in my brain. Vents are there, and I'm glad. Even though it does get cold in CO, our Platinum package has the built-in heater. It is more the sometimes blazing hot summers I will worry about. mb
  10. We had a similar thing happen in SE Colorado in 60-70mph winds. The door didn't blow open on its own, but was completely torn out of my husband's hands when he opened it to exit the trailer. Winds were from the North, door opened to the west....whoosh!
  11. I know you saw the info on my door post, but I'm putting this here to save some legwork for future door smashers who see your post first:
  12. We have an amazing Ace Hardware in town that sells everything...I have NEVER not found what I needed there, and I would guess they would have this as well. And they'll cut it to order. McGukins rules!
  13. I hadn't even thought of that. Seems like the simplest fix. Thank you! And I'll definitely look into the bungee solution, too. We are just thankful that Mark didn't take a good tumble when it happened....
  14. Hadn't thought about insurance. We've got ours through GoodSam and will check. Will also open a ticket and get advice from Oliver. That wind was SERIOUS. Like 60-70 mph.... Thanks! mb
  15. We are not. We're in Colorado. I think we can find a reputable fiberglass repair place, but any thoughts on what we should do in the meantime to prevent leaking? (Well, not that our part of Colorado ever gets any damn rain anyway these days....) mb
  16. I started to feel a little queasy just reading this. (Former NE gal, here...)
  17. Currently looking at rear storage options and am curious as to what you've found. I don't want anything huge, and prefer that it is "lifted" a bit to prevent scraping. TIA
  18. Following this with great interest. I was actually disappointed that Oliver didn't have any 12V outlets outside -- if and when I get a 12V portable fridge unit, an outside plug is what I would want to power it. I'd rather not have the inverter running unnecessarily while I'm boondocking. mb
  19. This is what we did with our Renogy 200W suitcase (charge controller included). I triple-checked the polarity out of an abundance of caution. 🙂 I also agree that 200W is about as much portable as I want to handle, though it does stow nicely between the beds, or even on one of the twins. It's still heavy, and will only make the trip when we will be in one place for a while.
  20. I had an issue and it was definitely a dead battery. Replaced it and all was good again. And now I remember to switch it off when it isn't in use, rather than rely on the auto-shutoff.
  21. This was one of the first things I installed, since I do find myself traveling solo on occasion. Combined with the Anderson levelers, getting set up in camp has never been easier. Definitely one of those things that makes me say "How did I go so many years without it?"
  22. We installed the GasStop emergency propane valves at the tanks so that we could tow with propane. But....since we suspected a propane leak right before this trip, propane wasn't an option. I'm pleased that this worked out - I will likely always throw the fridge on DC before trips where I'm headed to an electrical hookup, but will still use propane when I'm going to be boondocking.
  23. I was not aware, but will look at some of the older posts. And will do some more experimenting on our next trip.
  24. Just a quick note for those interested in the lithium platinum package, which we have on our 2022 Ollie. We took our maiden voyage in VellOllie this week, about 4.5-5 hours from home. Because I knew we would have an electrical hookup at our campsite, I decided to run the regrigerator on DC for the entire trip down. We started at 100% battery, according to the Lithionics app, and ended at.....99% battery on one, 100% on the other. It was sunny the entire trip, which helps of course. On the return, we ended at 99% and 98%, and were in cloudy conditions for the entire drive. I'd say that's pretty good performance, and have confidence in running the fridge on DC while traveling, even when I know we won't have electrical hookups at our final destination. Pretty cool...and part of why we went with the biggest solar/battery package we could get.
