  1. @jd1923: Welcome to the Ollie Family, JD! Very cool looking rig, TV and your new OTT! You will find the answers to any Ollie-related questions on this Forum, for sure and for certain... Happy trails, brother!
  2. OK... y'all talked us into it! We're ordering the accumulator and hoses today from Amazon... This compartment (as others) is begging for more insulation...
  3. What's done in Quartzite - stays in Quartzite.... just say'n 😎
  4. ...after adding a Neutral-Ground Bonding Plug to our Honda EU-2000 last week, we're now able to run the factory Dometic "Noisemaker" A/C unit with a MicroAir Easy Start capacitor installed. Sweet - like candy! Now... Question: Are there any "Double E's" out there that can explain why adding this plug to the GENSET makes it energize the A/C unit? Just curious...
  5. "Casablanca" Thermostat Update: We returned home yesterday afternoon after spending 4 days on the road between DEN and ABQ. Sort of a test trip for our newly mounted MicroAir Easy touch RV T'Stat. Installation was a "breeze" (pun intended) - and like our original Dometic T'Stat, the MicroAir unit controls the Dometic "Noisemaker" AC/Heat Strip and the Atwood furnace. It's got an "away" function which keeps the internal temps over a longer "cycle-time" when not occupying the OTT - jury still out on this function. What we really like is the WiFi and BT modes, so we can monitor/control internal temps while away from Casablanca using the iPhone App. Headed to TX today and should experience much wider temp ranges than we had in CO over the weekend - will follow-up with posts during the week... "Ravel-On!"
  6. Listened to Chris Stapleton and George Strait concert in Denver Saturday at Empower Mile High Stadium... NICE! 70934978029__5930F5C9-B962-4BBA-89E4-AEFEA87AE9AF.MOV
  7. after many brews
  8. This is huge, IMO...
  9. have more fun...
  10. Great thread! Thanks to all for all the grilling/cooking perspectives - we love this exchange of information. We're on a road-trip this week (ABQ - DEN) and trying out our new custom "Disk-it" for the first time. Made and patented by a friend who owns a fabrication shop in Albuquerque. Comes with either a griddle or wok (we ended up getting both). The custom "piece" comes in when one orders their laser-cut "symbol" on the Disk-it stand and on the griddle handles. D opted for a "tree-of-life" symbol and our names on the handles. Oops, sorry - probably quasi TMI; but this kit rocks! The piezo-light 2-stage burner pumps out north of 75k BTUs. The rig connects to the OTT front LPG port, folds-up and stows nicely in the truck bed. Griddled spicy shrimp, stuffed jalapeños, and mixed stir-fry last night - yum! "Ravel-On!" Cheers...
  11. We're on our 2nd road-trip since installing the MaxxAir Dome fan and just realized it won't pop-up enroute unless the "thumb latch button" fails... It's the black button on the left side of the push/pull handle in pic below:
  12. Same here... Been using them for our TT's since 2008 - had a claim after a double-deer strike, USAA came to the rescue as always!
  13. We did the same with our 2017 Ventline a few weeks back, the MaxxAir Dome (w/a cool LED) hasn't opened enroute (yet...) - seems a bit stiffer to open than the Ventline, FYI.
  14. We went with the single 200W Renology unit also - kinda heavy, no?
  15. @Brian and Brandelyne: FYI: We've experienced exactly the same with Centramatics and DTC with both our previous TT and our TV... just say'n, piece of mind is a good thing.
  16. We absolutely hate "Arc-Flash moments" anywhere in the OTT...
  17. About the same price when we bought ours in 2008... $50/wheel
  18. @Frank C: Ah! Very good. We'll give one a try. Never heard of this accessory.
  19. For what its worth... We used Centramatic balancers on our AS for 12 years with no issues other than experiencing fewer interior popped rivets. We ran Michelin RIBS on 16" Sendel aluminum wheels.
  20. @SeaDawg: We bought our EU2000 new in 2009, I do not recall adding a "neutral ground plug" since then (but, I've slept since then). How would one check for such a plug?
  21. Good move, Patriot. Adds a layer of "piece-of-mind" into your routine OTT adventures... OBTW: there are many other actions that fit under that category, HA!
  22. 100% concur! Been there done that - but never got the "T" shirt for it...
  23. OK. We're all various degrees of "wanderers" with our OTTs, right? A major concern with our Casablanca planning process is: "One (of something) is None (of that particular item)". Taking @John E Davies fire extinguisher thought a step ahead... "It's like a parachute. If you're in a situation where you need one and don't have one, it'll be the last time you'll ever need one." It's all about responsible contingency planning, IMO. Just say'n...
  24. Back in the day, that's what was referred to as a, "widow maker"... Good to scan your area of operations before you decide to bivouac. We've seen this exact event occur at a campsite in the Sierra Nevadas years ago... Not pretty...
  25. Not trying to highjack the thread into another realm - but this book, IMO, overlaps with those OTT enthusiasts that seek out modifications and perform their own fixes to issues that arise periodically...
