  1. If you can access the switch in the bathroom, as @mossemi indicates, check the integrity of the wires connecting the switch and the green LED. If one of those spade connectors has fallen off and gone to ground - it could have blown the water pump fuse. Do you have a VOM with you?
  2. HA! We built a "Lagun" table which is designed to straddle the twin beds and create a sleeping space for Magnus. Like your Dobie, he chooses otherwise, and sleeps on one or the other twins... Oh, well! Gotta love 'em, right? Woof!
  3. Can you post a picture of your fuse box label panel? We might be able to guide you to the correct fuse to start troubleshooting...
  4. We don't have a need to winterize, so we installed the accumulator horizontally with access to the Shrader valve. Easy install including the longer ShureFlow hoses for the "quiet modification." We've mounted a small mountain bike hand pump on the underside of the forward curbside hatch cover for easier accumulator bladder air adjustments. We've played with air pressure settings between 20 and 40psi; settled on 30. With this pressure, water seems to flow longer from the kitchen sink before the pump starts. FWIW: It does seem to run a bit quieter, according to D. However, I can barely hear it at all... Cheers! A & D
  5. FYI: I've noticed that the Bull Dog rotates UP slightly when raising the front of the trailer while attached to the TV hitch. I've torqued the nuts to 93ft-lbs, but it still literally "pops" up about 3/16" when raising. Not a good sign. I'm planning to remove the Bull Dog this afternoon to inspect the holes as you've shown here....
  6. We've got the factory Dometic Penguin II AC unit on our rig, and I'm told by my better half that our's is pretty loud. A great working AC unit otherwise, IMO. The integrated MaxAir Soft Touch 'stat was a game changer mod for us...FYI. However, working around loud sounds my entire life, has left my hearing WAY less than adequate. Add to that a nice layer of constantly screaming tinnitus, and its not motivating me to swap out our fine-cooling 'Ol Penguin because its "too loud" - largely because I don't hear how bad its noise really is. But, that said, I take everyone's word how the Penguin got its moniker, "NoiseMaker"! Especially, D's! We've replaced several AC units ourselves over the years high atop Vintage AS rigs - these replacements were because of an INOP/unservicable unit, not because they were "too loud." With all this into account, I'm detecting another AC replacement on my radar screen. We too, look forward to the jury's decision regarding the Freshjet's performance - as it would be nice to have a relatively straightforward AC R&R effort. Changing out a Dometic for a Dometic sounds appealing rather than trying to engineer a size 13D foot into a size 9B boot. We shall keep a weather-eye on Dometic Freshjet posts! Not so quietly staying cool, A & D
  7. Those RV'ers entering into the camping community during the C-19 debacle are no longer interested in camping saturating the used market by selling their 2-year old rigs - softening the pre-owned market and driving down first-time RV buyers, IMO.
  8. Great idea - One is none, 2 is One.... I'll get a couple. Thanks @topgun2!
  9. We've been filling our tanks with soft water from the house since we obtained the Oliver last March. As @John E Daviesmentioned, I'm thinking the soft water may have dislodged the hard water deposits (over the past months) down stream from the pump and clogged the faucet screens.
  10. It might be caused by hard water drying out in the PEX after winterization - we don't winterize, but it could have been from a PO's efforts to winterize.
  11. The new carpet looks fantastic. How does it feel underfoot? Just curious...
  12. FYI: We had a similar condition where there was 35-40psi at the spigot, the water pump would run when a sink valve was open (so we knew it wasn't air locked), but flow was weak (if any) from the toilet, showers, bath/kitchen sinks. We went around to each point of usage and cleaned out debris which had accumulated at the mesh screens - including the one at the rear of the toilet. The debris appeared to be a white substance possibly calcification from a water line on the downstream side of the water pump. Don't know for sure. Anyhow, after removing the blockages - we no longer have "low-flow sadness."
  13. A nicely used OTT! Sweet - like candy... Enjoy, @jd1923!
  14. @Steve Morris: Awesome cooking set-up, Steve! FYI, depending on our trip profiles, we find that we pack-up the kitchen kit accordingly. Short trips/long weekends, etc., usually don't lend themselves for taking the entire Cook Set-up we've acquired over the years. But, on the longer trips, we tend to haul most of the outside kitchen options because we like cooking so much! Ha! Try the "Bacon-wrapped stuffed Jalapeños (w/sausage and pepper jack) with BBQ sauce" - bet they'd be great on your Skottle! Cheers, Brother!
  15. Right On, Brother! Not an issue of running them at the same time with a 2kw GENSET - that's purely electrical engineering/physics, it's more of an issue of not enough wine bottle storage! HA... Cheers!
  16. We're looking at being able to get 10 bottles in the void including a wooden rack.... Will post up the project when we get down to that line item on the "project" checklist, HA!
  17. The jury's still out, but so far, the carbon steel seasons a bit more difficultly than cast iron. But once seasoned - we just wipe off with a sponge (or plastic scrapper) re-apply olive oil prior to storage. We like cooking on the open campfire flame with the CS...
  18. We tote around both a carbon steel Wok and Skillet we use on both the gas stove and campfire. We season with oil to keep the rust from accumulating after each usage... No biggie.
  19. We're saying the same thing, you've stated it much better than I tried to do, however. As new OTT owners, we weren't aware of the need for the neutral-ground bonding plug until reading this thread over the past several weeks. Thanks for your clarification - it will certainly help many others understand the EMS role in the OTT electrical system.
  20. These are the bomb! Scraping off excess "anything" on gelcoat - a "must have" for anyone owning an Oliver, Casita, CT-22, or a sailboat, IMO.
  21. We've had a couple Airstreams and a Casita (as a placeholder until we bought our Oliver). We carry a Honda EU2000i and it rarely leaves the back of the truck bed - but with our MicroAir Soft Start, it has no problem energizing the Dometic Penguin AC unit. The 340 watts on top plus our Renogy 200W suitcase keeps our 300amp-hr battery storage topped off nicely during good weather, the Honda becomes the battery charger during multiple-day foul weather conditions... In any case, you'll love your Oliver should y'all decide to go that way... Good luck! Cheers!
  22. AH! We'll do the same - We like the cloth shopping bag, we do that for our Chemex too! HA!, Great minds, right?
  23. We're planning to eliminate our M/W and use the space for a wine cabinet.... HA!
  24. We love the smell of "fresh air-dried" sheets from a forest camp!
