  1. This is one of the main reasons we sell direct. The constant feedback from our owners keeps us on our toes and we continue to improve how our trailers are built. Manufacturers that sell through dealerships have less (or barely any) communication with the actual owners that buy their RVs. Dealerships don't always have the intentions and care of the manufacturer either. They can be misleading or not prioritize customer service like we do. I have been with the company since 2013. I can honestly say that there are a lot of features and components on our units that came directly from our owners experiences. Some did their own modifications. Some made suggestions. The user feedback is important to us. In the end, our goal is to build the best camper we can make, back it up with great customer service and want owners to be safe and enjoy their experiences in them. You are purchasing a premium product... we know it is more expensive than some trailers. You deserve a premium trailer and a company that cares about it. We are not always perfect, we are human, but we will do our best to make it right when problems occur. We want to thank everyone for the comments and belief in us!
  2. Congrats Jason and Sonja! You can find a lot of great info here on our forums. If you haven't already joined it already, there is a private group on Facebook you can join as well. Search for "Oliver Trailer Owners." If you want to get familiar with the Ollie before pickup, be sure to watch our delivery series videos. These were originally made for 2019 trailers. There are a few small changes on 2020 models. We will be updating and adding them after the first of the year. We also need to finish up a few more videos and add to the series.... Hooking Up to a Tow Vehicle, Andersen Hitch, WIFI Booster, Cell Phone Booster and Entertainment System. https://olivertraveltrailers.com/travel-trailers/videos/ Once again... congrats!

  4. We looked at a few in the plant and it appears the weather stripping is left of where the weep holes align in the frame for water drainage. I'm curious if Lippert confirms this assumption.

  6. The views of our customers are of paramount importance to Oliver Travel Trailers. We will always strive to provide the best possible customer service and to identify and address all legitimate questions and concerns relating to our products or services. Oliver Travel Trailers values its customers points of view as a part of the “Oliver Family”. The Camco 40055 Brass Water Pressure Regulator is by its nature a flow restriction device as most pressure regulators work in this manner. Any water pressure regulator may be subject to failure. Failures are normally caused by a manufacturing or mechanical defect or physical damage. The Camco model 40055 has a preset water pressure (between 40-50 PSI) on the outflow side. This protects the camper’s plumbing from high water pressure that may be present at the supply and which would cause damage to the trailer’s plumbing system if left unregulated. This water pressure regulator is designed to ensure a safe pressure on the inside of the camper even when there is no flow but this device does not equalize to the higher pressure when no flow is present. Camco and other manufacturers make other water pressure regulators that are adjustable in nature and have a pressure gauge built onto the body of the regulator. Both fixed and adjustable pressure regulators perform the same function in broadly the same manner but one is adjustable and can have a visual reference to the reduced water pressure. Personal preference may dictate which one any particular customer may ultimately find preferable, but both do safely perform the pressure regulation function. In an effort to reinsure confidence of the 40055, we selected a random sample of three pressure regulators from inventory and subjected them to testing. The test method employed was a water pressure test with a supply pressure of 100 PSI produced buy our water pressure testing equipment. (All campers are subjected to an 80 PSI pressure test of the water lines as mandated in the RVIA Testing Regulations). A water pressure gauge was attached to the low pressure side of the regulator with water in the valve, 100 PSI of water pressure was applied at the inlet, the outlet recorded a pressure of 44 PSI, +or- 2 PSI on all three valves tested. This method of testing simulated a zero flow and did not result in an equalization of pressure to the higher inlet pressure. Furthermore when the 100PSI was disconnected from the inlet, the valve maintained the 44 PSI on the low pressure side until the pressure was relieved by removing the gauge (similar to opening a faucet). The observed testing appears to support the premise that the pressure regulator Camco 40055: Regulates incoming high water pressure and regulates it down to the stated safe pressure range of the regulator (40-50 PSI). There is no equalization of pressure between the two sides of the regulator under water present but no flow conditions. When high pressure source is removed, the lower pressure is maintained on the low pressure side of the valve until relieved by such things as the operation of a faucet. Our tests indicate that the Camco 40055 water pressure regulator performs its required function of reducing water pressure. As previously stated, this valve does not give the ability to adjust water pressure or give a visual representation of pressure, which may be the preference for some and a matter of personal choice. The manufacturers of the Camco 40055 water pressure regulator are happy to discuss any concerns that may arise in respect of any of their products. They can be contacted by phone at: 1-800-334-2004 or by email at: info@camco.net
  7. IMPORTANT TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN : 1Z9-P8W4L-11 IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND PRINT A PDF VERSION ISSUE 7-Pin Charge & Safety Breakaway Orientation on the Self-Resetting Breaker MODELS IMPACTED 2018 Oliver Legacy Elite II models built from August through November 2018 See sticker on lower shell on the street side to confirm the manufactured date on your trailer. INFORMATION Oliver Travel Trailers was alerted that some of its trailers may have the charge wire and safety breakaway wires connected incorrectly at the 20 AMP self-resetting breaker. To our knowledge as of this writing, no person or equipment has suffered injury or loss due to this condition. RESOLUTION Owners with impacted year models should have the camper checked to ensure that the wires are connected properly. Inspection and corrective action are only to be performed by qualified service technicians. For assistance in locating a qualified service technician or for any questions regarding this Technical Service Bulletin, contact the Oliver Travel Trailer Service Department using the information provided. Checking the wiring orientation of the 7-Pin charge wire (black) and the emergency breakaway power wire (pink) to the self-resetting breaker. To access the parts to be inspected open the access point and look inside to the right to see the parts. The self-resetting breaker is located immediately to the right of the 60 AMP breaker. This will have a red rubber cover on it, pull back the red cover to expose the terminals. Also pull back the black corrugated wire protection to determine the colors of the wire If incorrect, follow the steps detailed in the corrective action instruction CORRECTIVE ACTION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 7-Pin Charge & Breakaway wire connections **This work should only be carried out by a properly qualified RV technician** The Resolution: 1. Before undertaking any change to the wiring, ensure that the 7-Pin connector is unplugged from the tow vehicle and the self-resetting breaker is isolated from the batteries. This may be achieved by disconnecting the red 4ga wire from the battery using a ½” wrench. 2. Open the top of the red rubber cover to expose the terminals of the self-resetting breaker, then using a 3/8” wrench loosen and remove the nut that secures the pink wire to the right-hand terminal, carefully ease the ring connector off the terminal post and move out of the way of other wires. 3. Repeat the same process for the black wire located on the left terminal. Once it is free, position it on the right hand terminal, then secure it in place with the same nut you removed from that terminal. Torque the nut to 24 inch pounds. *Ensure that the red rubber cover is still in place around the breaker poles before securing wire. 4. Then take the pink wire and position it on the left-hand terminal and secure it with the nut you removed from that position, and torque the nut to 24 inch pounds. 5. Finally check your connections are tight and reposition the top of the red rubber cover ensuring the holes on the inside line up with the terminal posts on the self re-setting breaker. Relocate the black corrugated protective covering around the pink and black wires, if it was dislodged during the wire change process. Once you have reconnected the battery and checked that the 60 AMP breaker has not tripped during this procedure, this concludes the resolution. If the 60 AMP breaker needs to be reset please refer to Fig. 1 and Fig 2. Below. Note: The 60 AMP breaker can have a reset lever that is either Red or Yellow in color. This shows the 60 AMP breaker in its tripped condition. It can be manually tripped by depressing the red button (1) in Fig-8. A reset of the 60 AMP breaker is achieved by pushing the lever from the open to the closed position, in a successful reset the lever will remain in the closed position. See Fig-9. 8. Actually we had the wrong manual online that we got from another provider. The model is the Contoure Convection Microwave 190S-CON. We have updated Oliver University with the correct manual. I'm not sure why, but the box says it is a 1.2 cubic ft microwave but owner's manual says 1.1 cubic ft. Go here: http://olivertraveltrailers.com/oliver-university/ Search "Convection Microwave"
  9. IMPORTANT TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN : 1ZP-K8A2M-11 IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED CLICK HERE TO VIEW AND PRINT A PDF VERSION ISSUE Potential for Sub-Optimal Grounding through Tow Vehicle Connection MODELS IMPACTED 2014 – 2015 Oliver Legacy Elite and Elite II models. INFORMATION Oliver Travel Trailers was alerted that some trailers produced during 2014 and 2015 may experience degraded braking due to a sub-optimal ground through the ball connection when an optional anti sway hitch is installed. During the affected model years some Oliver models relied upon providing a ground to the electric braking system through the connection between the tow vehicle hitch and trailer frame. This usually provides sufficient grounding capacity for the brakes to operate normally, however, a better method of grounding the trailer would be to provide a grounding bond through the 7-pin ground wire to the trailer frame. To our knowledge as of this writing, no person or equipment has suffered injury or loss due to this condition. RESOLUTION Owners with impacted year models should have the camper checked to ensure that the camper has a good bonding ground through the 7-pin connection. Inspection and corrective action are only to be performed by qualified service technicians. For assistance in locating a qualified service technician or for any questions regarding this Technical Service Bulletin, contact the Oliver Travel Trailer Service Department using the information provided. TESTING PROCESS FOR DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT THE CAMPER IS PROPERLY GROUNDED THROUGH THE 7-PIN CONNECTION 1. Using a multimeter set to Ohms to test for continuity, connect the red lead to the 7-pin ground connection. Connect the black lead to the frame directly behind the bulldog coupler. 2. The multimeter should display 0 and beep or light up based on the type of multimeter, showing a complete path and proper bonded ground with the travel trailer frame. 3. If the multimeter displays a 0 and beeps or lights it means the frame is properly bonded with the 7-pin ground wire, no further action is required. Please fill out the inspection reply card and mail to the address below using the postage provided return envelope. 4. If the multimeter DOES NOT beep and displays (OL) it means the circuit is open. In this case the ground is only being provided by the connection between the trailer hitch and ball. This is an approved method of grounding however when an optional anti sway device is installed this ground could be less than optimal and could lead to degraded brake operation. To ensure optimal connectivity please proceed to the corrective action steps below for bonding the trailer frame to 7-pin ground. Corrective action steps should be performed by a qualified RV service technician. For assistance in locating a qualified RV service technician or for any questions regarding this Technical Service Bulletin, contact the Oliver Travel Trailer Service Department at 866-205-2621. 10. @TexasMarshall We sincerely apologize for the issues you have had. We are passing along your comments to quality control. If you still have issues, don't hesitate to call the service department at 1-866-205-2621.
  11. I've updated the Technical Service Bulletin. They have been emailed and will be mailed by USPS first-class mail today. http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/inverter-ground/
  12. John, From the looks of where you grounded on the support beam, I'm not sure if that support is welded to the chassis. I haven't personally looked yet on a unit, but I will check. In any case, we would recommend moving the grounding point to the chassis ground stud. I have the Technical Service Bulletin revised but waiting to hear from everyone here before we post it. Basically there will be three things everyone will need to look for... Missing inverter chassis ground wire Oversized ring terminal on chassis ground Flat washer installed between ring terminal and inverter chassis (needs to be removed) Again, we will be asking for everyone to get it inspected by a qualified RV technician. We will reimburse the cost of the inspection without approval up to $150. Anything over $150, we are asking that you call the Service Department prior to get approval. Hopefully we will release the revised TSB today or tomorrow. For those that have already requested a Service Kit, we will be mailing those out by the end of the week. We apologize for sending the TSB out then needing to revise. We want to make sure this is done correct and that everyone's travel trailer is setup as safe as possible.
  13. John, Thank you for bringing the flat washer issue to our attention. We receive the inverters from Xantrex with two flat washers, one lock washer and the nut installed on the chassis ground terminal. I personally called one of the engineers at Xantrex and he informed me that you are correct and that the lug or ring terminal should not have a flat washer under it. The ring terminal should be in contact with the chassis. He did however say that if it does have the flat washer under the terminal on the chassis ground, it should not be an issue since there is not much or any voltage drop. He said it would be more of an issue there was a flat washer under the battery ground. In any case, we want it to be properly installed and safe for our owners. According to Xantrex, they are shipped with the two flat washer in the case where someone would be connecting bare wire. I will update the Technical Service Bulletin and resend to everyone. I will also be updating that when a ground wire is present, to check that the appropriately-sized lug or ring terminal was installed and the corrective action if a flat washer is installed between the ring terminal and chassis. Please note that we are required to request all owners that receive this bulletin to have the missing or improperly installed ground wire inspected by a qualified RV technician. Even if you have fixed the issue on your own, we are asking you to have it inspected by a qualified RV technician. Thanks again for your help! NOTE: We have had an issue with the forums today and I just noticed the Quotes are not working properly. I'll have the team look into it.

  19. Thank you everyone for your input and support for the Oliver brand! We will be looking for products and distribution over the next few weeks. We will more than likely have some Oliver maintenance products as well... wheel bearing kits, Truma Decalcification Tablets, etc. I'm sorry to say we won't have anything available until after Father's Day but we will have something up in the next month or so!
  20. Yes we will probably implement blocking IP addresses outside US & Canada.. or maybe specific countries. If they are on a proxy server they can hide their actual location and be where ever they want to be. We will get it worked out. Did anyone receive spam emails from the spammers? Probably Microsoft or Norton Security related. If so, please private message me and I'd like to have it forwarded to me. Thanks!
  21. I will definitely try to post when it will air. I'm pretty sure it will not air at the same time everywhere. I was told it is up to each local TV network to use when they seemed fit, but they can air it as many times as they want. I'll have more info in a month or two. I believe it should start being aired in June.
  22. Had another attack this morning. They can register as anyone else can. New users are required to activate their account by clicking a link in their email, which tells me that it most like a human and not a bot doing it. If it continues we will tighten up the spam controls.
  23. The voice is of James Herron. He is a Sam Elliott sound-alike. He is a good fit for our brand. The commercial is going to be airing across the nation this Summer on a TV show called "America's Campers and RVs" on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm. We will also be featured in the show for five or so minutes. The commercial is a brand awareness campaign we are running. There will be a series of videos/commercials. Although we are becoming more known everyday, there are still a lot of people that have never heard of an Oliver. Yes, the production line is booked for a few months out but we are always pushing to reserve production slots even further in advance. I'm glad everyone likes the voice. I'm planning to use him for all or most of our projects going forward.
  24. Yeah... Looks like the spammers work weekends lol... they have been removed.
  25. The original topic was marked as spam for some reason. I have merged the two topics.
