  1. Sounds like a nice project John. Would love some photos when you’re done.
  2. Just for the screws. There were a couple in the PVC that just spun in place and I wanted to make sure that all of my electrical connections had solid strain relief. I coated the ply both sides with poly and I don't think any of it's in a place that should see water. Hope not - my electrical will be toast. I've got photos of what I did here.
  3. You might shoot an email to Jason and ask what epoxy they use to glue the PVC to the hull. I think it's the same stuff they use to bond the hulls together. They let me have a tube when I first did my electrical, and it really bonds those sheets well. I think they said it was pretty expensive though. When I redid mine with plywood, I just left those sheets in place since they'd have been impossible to remove, and glued and screwed the plywood to them.
  4. Expanded PVC I think it holds screws well enough for light things. I replaced all of mine with plywood.
  5. It all depends on how you plan to use it and whether you want to use it beyond its designed rating. Most people don’t need extra poles, nor care to fuss with them.
  6. Sure, let’s talk. Send me a PM. I’d love to know more about your plans.
  7. Yes if it’s tied down, only because it’s too much trouble to undo everything. If we’re not using the tie downs then we roll it in 90% like was being discussed in the thread about sunscreens.
  8. To me, the easiest way is to just bookmark a topic in your browser and then keep a folder of those bookmarks on your computer. You can also follow topics by clicking on the 'follow' button on the top right of the page. If you just want to maintain a list of topics rather than being notified about new content, then you can choose 'no notifications'. Under your profile, you can go to 'manage followed content' and see a list of topics that you follow.
  9. I’m on my phone right now so I don’t know if it’s the same on a computer, but try going to ‘account settings’ instead of ‘edit profile’. On the phone, there’s a drop down menu called ‘settings area’ from which you can chose to edit your signature. It’s kind of hard to notice because it’s in grey text.
  10. I start out using two cheap bubble levels that I have near the front jack. To fine tune, I just use the bathroom door as a guide. If it doesn’t swing open or shut, then the trailer is level enough for me.
  11. Doesn't seem like it, but the more people who ask, the greater the chance. Oliver moves slowly - they talked about Lithium for three years before offering it. I think that the main issue with Oliver and the comfort plus is in managing the production line. The regular Truma and the tank have the same plumbing, but if they switch to the comfort plus, then they have a plumbing change to manage. Seems like a small thing, and it probably would be if it were the only option; but in the larger picture things get complicated. I suspect that Oliver limits their options to things that can be easily fitted or fixed after the hulls are together. You don't want to figure out after that point that you've got the wrong plumbing in a trailer, or someone cut the wrong hole for the fridge.
  12. Never stopped us before. 🤣
  13. Susan, that's an old style rack that Oliver doesn't make anymore, unfortunately. Personally, I think that was their best attempt at making a general purpose rack. It was modeled after one that a long time owner had made for himself. The drawback of the design is that it can be a real bear to remove, which you have to do to access the spare tire. The rack sits above the bumper and so the bumper can still be folded down to access the drain. There are technical drawings for the rack floating around, for people who want to have one made by a 3rd party.
  14. I just read through some descriptions. Sounds like fun to me. Given some of the rigs that people in the descriptions say they were towing (34' 5th wheel, for example), I'd say just plan extra time to take it as slowly as you need. Sounds like the road is wide and I didn't see any mention of mud. How are your repair skills, just in case? 😉
  15. So is there an outlet in the upper cabinet just above the microwave space? In mine, there’s a pass through between them so that you can plug in your toaster oven above. You can see it in the photo I posted. I don’t see one in your photo but I’d think that someone could add one easily, provided there’s an outlet above to use. I do like the look of both the fiberglass interior and the door. It’s much more in keeping with the rest of the trailer.
  16. Wow, someone actually found it - https://www.santafenewmexican.com/news/local_news/forrest-fenn-confirms-his-treasure-has-been-found/article_37006cfe-a8d7-11ea-8653-873ca96e31ef.html
  17. I think if that’s a vacuum formed interior like the bath caddy that I’d be a bit more cautious about running a toaster oven in there.
  18. I wrap them around the extension arms. I worried that if I cinched up the straps too much that I’d damage the arms or the outside joint but it hasn’t been a problem. When we don’t use the poles, we roll up our awnings the same as Mike when we’re away. Just unlock clips and roll in the awnings until the support arms almost touch the hull. Super easy and like Mike says, it would take a hurricane to damage them in that position.
  19. Interesting. Does it have a light inside?
  20. If you’re asking about the table tops, they’re available at https://www.rv-table-mount.com/ Or if you’re ok with a bit longer shipping time, you’ll find a larger selection at https://www.marineteak.co.uk/lagun-table-mount
  21. We like to leave it open when we head out for the day, just to help dry everything quickly and thoroughly.
  22. It’s a Franke, and yes. Here’s the thread about it.
  23. Lol, thanks. The sink took some work but it really makes a difference.
