Post disappeared... Try #2 - A big part of the slow drain we have found is that when the shower back flow drain valve is closed, so is the only sink vent, which makes the tank gulp air. So it drains a lot faster when that valve is open. When our trailer is level and I open the drain, it leaves around 25% in the tank because of the height of the 3" fitting coming out of the tank - according to the tank monitor. Which is no big deal unless we're leaving. Most dumps have the trailer ramp set on an angle one way or the other and it's usually enough to get a fast dump with the shower back flow valve open, but either way it empties completely with a slight tilt. John, that hose in your link kinks, but being that it's just a drain hose why not use cheap Blue Lay Flat? https://www.google.com/search?sclient=tablet-gws&site=&source=hp&q=blue+lay+flat+discharge+hose&oq=Blue+lay+&gs_l=tablet-gws.1.0.0l2j0i22i30k1.4877.9438.0.11610.10.9.0.1.1.0.256.1331.0j8j1.9.0....0...1c.1j4.64.tablet-gws..0.9.1230.0..35i39k1j0i131k1j0i67k1j0i20k1.buSMv3FY0UA It's just water discharge hose and it rolls up flat. Kitchen Drawer Problem Found*
KarenLukens replied to KarenLukens's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
They sent us new drawers last week and also a set of longer screws for the other 3. We haven't had a problem since and the new screws are 3/4" full thread so it looks fine. What I did do different was I changed the magnet plate distance on the back of the drawers so that they make full contact with the magnet. Before, they were 1/8" away from hitting. -
Congratulations Bob and family :) You guys will have a great time with the Oliver crew and at Fall Hollow. We really enjoyed our stay there and ended up staying a few extra days just to get settled in. The one tip that I can think of is that you will want a sewer slinky and a length of Rhinoflex is a lot nicer then the sewer hose that comes with it. If you don't have a slinky then it's an uphill battle to the hole and poses that problem. Other then that, you guys will have a great time. We ran for a couple days there with the shore power shut off just to learn the Solar. If you bought the wet cell T105's then make sure that the Zamp controller is set to wet. It comes set to AGM from the factory. Also be sure to check your propane valves and if you bought the 30lb tanks, they are about half full from Oliver. Enjoy your new home away from home you guys :) https://www.amazon.com/Camco-43051-Sidewinder-Plastic-Support/dp/B000BUU5WW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492401077&sr=8-1&keywords=Rv+Sewer+slinky

Another thing to consider if you plan on going is if you do installs, you could set it up to take appointment times to install the easy start for people attending the rally. I'm sure that you could book yourself as solid as you want to before the rally.

+1 on Bill's answer, we do the same and use the Flip Mop to clean either dry or wet when needed. We also use the wet side to dry the shower floor. https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=flip%20mop

Thanks Overland :) Karen is already planning my next upgrade, a couple batteries and I will plumb in my Solar Suitcase to start just to have some fun playing this summer. I will be using the 2000i mostly, I do love that little Machine :) We are really happy with our trailer and have been in it full time now for over 2 months.

rideandfly Bill you were the closest :) John! We're still laughing cause that was funny right there :) Mike, Bill, Pete, you guys are great :) Walt and Buzzy, thanks for the thanks :) The truth is, I took my ML in for service and this GLA is the loaner car they gave me for the weekend and it's not an AMG. I'm going to be going to Yosemite next week and there's some steep hills that we're going to be towing on, so the guys at Mercedes are going to go thru the brakes on Monday and make sure everything is ready for the mountains. We will probably have snow and I may be chaining up the trailer tires for the first time while there. So the guys gave me a choice of a C300 or this GLA 4wd Airmatic with a 2" available air lift and low range... and I always choose the GLA 4x4 when available. Mercedes charges us $10 a day for 3 days and then it's free after that and it had 3/4 of a tank of gas, so... I can't lose when I take my cars in for service. The old 2012ML has 92,000 miles on it, and this week I'm driving a new car with no limits to what I'll be doing with it that had 1200 miles on it when I started. There's no way that the GLA could tow our trailer, but it looked great, so I backed it in and Karen snapped some pics for me to fool around with here on the forum, I couldn't resist. I took the car stats from an SL65AMG that does have a V12, just cause, you know... It's a guy thing... Lol. I've always thought that the best summer TV would be a convertible, but there's no such thing these days, so I let my imagination do the driving on this post just like Lucy and Desi from their old movie because I do really love my convertible.

A Mercedes AMG GLA65RTV 622 Horses, 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds towing an Oliver Hand Crafted 6.0L AMG V12 Biturbo Torque - 738 lb- fp @ 2300 - 4300rpm Top Speed 216mph What do you think? truth or fiction? what's the story?

Me too :) Just ordered. Thanks guys :) Heck it should be coming as a stock accessory with all Ollie's soon at this rate, I would think :) Being that I also have the Xantrex PROWATT SW SERIES/2000W inverter, will the wiring be the same? I would like to just be able to turn on the inverter and then run the AC to see how long I can run on the battery. I have a Honda 2000i and a golf cart charger, along with the Solar package, so quick charging the batteries isn't a problem.
-
The inverter runs all of the outlets and AC throughout the trailer. The wiring diagram for what it is doesn't show it very well so I would call Oliver or if you want to get together, we are at home for another week working on the house, and have a few openings Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday if you want to pull mine apart and look at it. Then we're going to Yosemite on the 21st and we'll be gone till late May, when we have more work from a mud slide from the rains this year at our gold mine on the Yuba... We'll be renting a tractor at least for that one... It's 8ft farther in now after the last storm...
-
When we were there they hadn't finished it yet, they still had the double bar set up that needed to be screwed down into both sides of the bumper. I didn't like the looks of that one... So please post the pics of the new one when you can, we would love to see it in action :)

Hi Jason :) Welcome to the family and thanks for helping fix our little home forum :)
-
We had the battery pack one's in our Casita but that was because we only had the one battery :) They look even better in your Ollie :) Hey!!! You got the same white cupboard doors that we did, haha :)
-
Wow! That's a beautiful color scheme! A very sharp looking Elite :) We had a Casita for a couple of years and the Ollie's are light years ahead. Congratulations :)

Hull #201 is home with Stan and Linda
KarenLukens replied to SLBenson's topic in Delivery Day Photos
Very nice set up Stan & Linda :) Safe and wonderful travels are ahead for all of us, we have your little sister, Hull #200 :) -
With the 4 battery system as it looks right now, you should be good for at least 5 days witn no sun. Even on cloudy days it charges back up before dark, it's been 2 months with no issues for us.

You will have to download the pdf. The schematics are for the 2017. The older ones didn't come with them. https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/c198d2be-6763-429f-8bbd-bebbdbd0de7b

Tomorrow is the big day that we are going home with the new trailer for the first time. So today, being that we haven't started the generator the entire time, we gave the ice chest a new home instead. We spent a nice week here in Sacramento just enjoying the weather and catching up with our appointments that we had made before we left here in town. It snowed last night at our house and we missed one of the worst Winters on record by traveling to Hohenwald and picking up our New Lil' Nugget. We've almost reached the end of our first journey :) The old Masterlock set works ok on the Bulldog but it's not perfect. I've had it for a few years and it served its purpose once again, but I'm thinking for the best security, I should just pull the 2 bolts and remove the whole hitch because it's just that simple to remove right now and I have a couple of locking hitch pins that can take their place if I make the holes a touch bigger. But for now, that's still in the thinking process.

Fall Hollow was 22° one of the days we were there in February :) and we were nice & warm in our new little trailer also :) Congratulations, it looks great!

It has a 1500watt continuous load capacity, so that would be 1500÷120=12.5amps continuous load. But the inverter itself is designed to run on the 4 battery system, so having one of the 4 battery systems is the most important for the inverter to run properly. Running the sawzall will not be a problem. Then on this link it says 2000w continuous, 3000w max so... Either way the sawzall will work :) https://www.westmarine.com/buy/xantrex--prowatt-sw-inverters--P010957314
