  1. I'm really happy with our water and waste set up now. I took out the Valterra hoses that came with "Goldilocks ", (Her new name now). Then modified the waste hose opening and put in a 10' Rhinoflex extension as the main with the 6" clear piece and Valterra end on it for the usual short runs. Then I have the 15' Rhinoflex set up in the box for an add on when needed with room to spare. So now... It's just right... :)
  2. Here we go again :) So glad that I learned to save everything before posting here :) 3rd try - Like with Bill, maybe one dump after shower day. When we set up in a park, usually we set up for show and everything has its place. Karen announced that our trailer was open to view last night at the potluck dinner and we had a line of 20+ people that wanted to see it. After she has her decorations set up, it's easier to dump a tote if needed. There's just no need to move all of the decorations and lights then take down the awning and move the trailer for a few gallons of water. We're at the Scamp Far West, Fiberglass RV Rally in Pine Grove, California and set up to show for 5 days. This time there's hook ups but we set the trailer up the same either way. The propane tank cover is off because I'm working on it and filling a tank up in a few minutes. I'm running 32' of propane hose to the pit for the circle of people each night. And they all cooked their hot dogs over them on hot dog night also. Being the only Oliver and getting put into the spot right next to the center of all activities made it nice because we really come prepared. We smoked pork bellys for 4 hours yesterday in the Cobb to add to last night's dinner. Pulled fresh off the grill smoked pork was our addition. The aftermath of last night's potluck 2 propane fire pits and people from 32 trailers all here :)
  3. Not letting me edit a post... Disappeared again.

  5. If the blind is coming off, with ours, the metal brackets needed to be tightened. Then they snap right into place. They're easy to take off and clean or some people like to turn them the other way so that the night shade comes up from the bottom.
  6. :) I always liked that Red Ollie. Congratulations :)
  7. That looks like a great spot :)
  8. Don't buy a 35 gallon tote... Waste of money and too heavy. I use this - https://www.amazon.com/Camco-39463-Sewer-Hose-Connection/dp/B000BQKBP2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1495280553&sr=8-5&keywords=camco+rv+sewer+hose+connectors Or this actually, https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-T1020-1-Black-Waste-Valve/dp/B0006N5RYK/ref=pd_sbs_263_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0006N5RYK&pd_rd_r=Y416D1EB89XV2MTVN0ER&pd_rd_w=OkYvL&pd_rd_wg=gpaeQ&psc=1&refRID=Y416D1EB89XV2MTVN0ER Then use my green tank flush hose to drain gray water directly into a tote that I can carry. Just put a valve on the end of the hose and make a few easy trips that won't put you in the hospital... :)
  9. You can get 5 gallon drums with water tight lids for free at many car washes. They use them for soap and need to get rid of them weekly. I've got a bunch that I use for flotation but they are perfect for containment. I take one when needed for gray water and then dump it down a toilet.
  10. You will get propane smell and CO from the Little Buddy and it may set off the detector but if you run it on low, it will still heat the place in a few minutes. I have ours here with us, they work fine :) I have an old review on them here.
  11. The Towready looks great :) Here's a clamp to fit around the door and hold everything in place. Grab a few, they come in handy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BUQOAY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I3O4GK5QN3L5SH&colid=DVETVI1ZF5E8 Then here's a pic of our old school Curt with the clamp holding it together. It really gives you a good sense of knowing that the 7 pin can't come loose.
  12. +1 on Dave's answer. I've been using the 57003 Curt adapter for over 2 years. This is the part Jason was talking about and he saw us have to put it on at the factory to get the trailer connect complete to our Mercedes. Yup, no FORD in our house but it's worth trying for $25 bucks for an easy fix.
  13. Do you have bug screens over the vent holes? Sounds like a mouse got a stick into the fan cage...
  14. You're replying to a 7+ year old thread from before the factory shut down, so things have changed. We've Wintered in our 2017 Legacy Ellite II since February, 13th and haven't had enough moisture to worry about. It would rain inside of our Casita, where the Oliver stays mostly dry with just a touch around the corners in a window sometimes :)
  15. Going back to the title, we would have liked another AC outlet on either the front or preferably the right side of the stove. Then another on the street side towards the front from the storage compartment because most of the outside work goes on right there. We turned the fold down door into a level light weight work table. The pantry is the only cabinet without a light and it could really use one :)
  16. We're at San Simeon State Park, camping with a Pacific Ocean View :)
  17. :)
  18. Does the spring put out bad water? Our spring runs into our tank up on the hill, then gravity feeds directly to the house, no filters needed, just pure clean water.
  19. The access port also allows easy access to the Suburban heater's reset switch located on the right side of the heater...
  20. We upgraded to latex cushions and added a 3" temperpedic topper. Super comfortable! Karen
  21. Must be the satellite or something, our inverter is silent.
  22. :) Sounds like a beautiful morning :) Nice and quiet with the Solar.
  23. After modifying the diamond plate, I can fit my hand around the hose to pull it out now. I may bend it down a bit more later, but for now I'm happy with the way it's working. I can live with 6% left in the tank when level. Have you guys tested the speed of the drain flow by opening the bathroom shower vent? Ours seems to shoot right out with it open and gurgle when it's closed. Here's the link to the pics, etc... http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/reed-karens-blog/#post-53462 ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Hmmm just takes you to the blog... It starts at 53462 a couple up from the bottom. The link is right but it doesn't take you to the right post #... It shows my mod, so far. I ran out of daylight and buttoned it up but leveling out the hose and rounding the lip on the diamond plate was easy enough with a 12" Crescent and the grinder. More server issues to deal with :) Don't ask... Lol
