seems like it would have to be a fuse  but i opened the 3 atached to the red wires coming off a breaker with red button opposite inverter installation underneath seat and tried the main breaker on panel  and checked for loose cables. but thinking it has to be a blown fuse not to have any power  Im trying to find the other fuses

Are all your 12V circuits working? e.g. lights, stabilizer jacks, etc.

Attach some pictures here, of the inverter, inverter panel or on/off switch, wiring into the inverter and devices near the inverter.

Do you have a multimeter, or test light?

@ADKCamper gave you a good checklist for testing.

The gurus are here. Post pictures and get a meter or simple test light at an auto parts store.

It is likely simple..

I don't see any obvious issues other than the dust that is everywhere.  That dust can get into many areas that you don't want it to - I know this because every couple of years I have to plug and unplug the remote cable (runs from the back of the remote switch inside the living area of the Ollie) to the inverter.  I've never had to bother with the connection on the back of the inverter switch but it is the connection that goes into the inverter itself.

However, as I think you said that you had already tried turning the inverter on/off at the inverter itself, I doubt that this is your issue.  But, its worth a shot.

If you decide to try this, what you are looking for is what appears to be one of those little phone jack connections.  Simply press down on the little plastic tab and pull straight out and push straight back into where it came out.  Do this two or three times to help "clean" the connections.

Having these pictures is great! It may make all the difference in us helping you.

Your test light should have an alligator clip on one end, clip it to the negative bus which is the one you have pictured 3 times with all yellow wires. You then want to touch both sides of the SMP 200A breaker shown in your 4th picture. I’m pretty sure this is the breaker between your batteries and inverter.

If the breaker is closed (on) and in working order, there should be power on both terminals (test light ON). If you have power on the battery side and not on the other, you need a new breaker and you’ve found your issue.

Let us know on this test for next steps if necessary.

Like @jd1923 said, take measurements around this circuit breaker, input vs output .  These have been known to fail. As John said you should measure 12V on each side with respect to ground. IMG_4176.jpeg.2f365603b61362b7f3332b3fcfbf2ebb.jpeg

I tested and do have 12v power on either side of the big breaker.  I also tested(picture) inside zantrex panel and have power there as well

I read in your other post that unplugging and plugging the inverter makes a noise. This and your test shows you have power to the inverter. The noise means it’s doing something internal.

Time to get in the phone with Xantrex Tech Support. You have power in but nothing out. They will have tests for you to do and next steps. Your issue must be the inverter is not powered on or something else internal to the inverter.

Good work so far! Keep us posted.

So took it to bish rv in Bozeman

the inverter has power coming in.  I had called Zantac support and I will call back tomorrow . They told me 3 year warranty. Our Ollie hull number 822 is going on 4 years old.  A new inverter is 1800$ plus labor.  Hope xantrax will help.

Yes, call them!

I purchased a brand new 3KW Victron Multiplus II for $1,100. Don’t spend this money on a 2KW Xantrex! Your model used in working condition on eBay is likely about $300.

I'm thinking a good tech at Xantrex should get you up and running...

But, if it turns out you need to replace the unit and want to swap with the same model, I would do this. This eBay Seller with decent feedback is an RV parts & salvage co, this item is open box, "guaranteed to work."

https://www.ebay.com/itm/267389119450?_skw=xantrex+freedom+xc+pro

The labor is simple, since the model is identical. Just disconnect your shore power and batteries, and solar switch OFF. Then swap wires from your original unit to the new one. $650 plus tax vs. $1,800 plus tax and labor! 🤣

I have a Xantrex 2000 watt inverter removed for installation of the Victron MP2.  If you are near Atlanta, come by and make me a deal.

We just replaced our Freedom XC PRO 3000 inverter because of an error code 08. We have a 2022 Elite II which has bot seen very much use since we purchased it. Our mechanic did a hard reset based on Xantrex's instruction but it still did not function. The unit had to be replaced, cost for the unit was $2,142.79, not including labor. We reached out to Oliver and they reached out to Xantrex for some compensation, unfortunately Xantrex said the warranty was only for two years. I tried to explain that the unit did not have two years of use, but Xantrex would not provide any $ support.

Please do not do this! The better Victron Multiplus II is exactly half this cost, with better functionality and reliability!

There are several threads here re failures of this brand inverter-charger.

I understand why you might want to reinstall the same unit as you removed - but I feel really bad for you that some dealer took advantage of you.  These units are available online for much less and as @jd1923 said - the more capable and robust Victron Multiplus II is even less.  Given Xantrex's response to you - I'm a bit surprised you didn't consider other options.

Not that it matters, but my opinions is that Oliver would be doing their future customers a big favor by ditching these other brands and going to an all-Victron electrical system.

Learning about this kind-a stuff is why we have this Forum!

These links are from the Xantrex and Victron "Stores" on Amazon. The Xantrex is $635 less and I cannot believe the price on the Victron, $100 less than I paid July 2024!

It’s unfortunate that your Xantrex died, and it sounds like the installer charged you full price for the unit, which is normal practice.  But you saved a lot more on the installation cost by replacing it with another Xantrex because they didn't have to fit a different sized display or make wiring changes.

Victron's are nice, especially if you have other Victron components all linked together.  But I also like the Xantrex units, they are generally reliable and they have good lithium charging profiles, and they are very simple to set-up and use.

FYI, be sure to check and re-torque your wire connections after using it.  In last weeks YouTube episode of “Happily Ever Hanks,” their recently installed Victron Multiplus literally burned up!  They don’t know why at this point, but in my opinion it was probably a loose connection.

Cheers! Geoff

You don't really need a display on inverter/charger systems.

After replacing our Xantrex with the Victron Multiplus, we covered up the hole where the Xantrex switch was with artwork! It's all about readings on the apps! 😎

The App is showing the Victron in Power-Assist mode. I've set incoming amperage for a 15A (household circuit). So to run the A/C, the Victron is inverting the net required power supplied by the LiFePO4 batteries.
