GeoffChapman Posted Wednesday at 08:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:39 PM I have an Oliver Elite 1, 2020. I was winterizing it and before I winterized the outside shower station I removed my lithium batteries and remained connected to shore power. When I went to turn on the water pump, it did not come on; the entire 12v system is not working, while the 120v system works fine. I called Oliver, and they thought I probably have to put the batteries back in to make it work. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the 12v system working without any batteries in the Oliver. I have the FreedomX Remote Panel with the Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 Inverter. Thanks for any help! Moderators topgun2 Posted Wednesday at 09:26 PM Moderators Posted Wednesday at 09:26 PM Other than adding a device to change 120 volts to 12 volts, as far as I know you will have to put the (or at least one 12 volt battery back into the Ollie in order to get 12 volts to the water pump (or anything else that runs off 12 volts for that matter). As long as it is charged up, basically any old 12 volt battery will work for your purpose. I always have one or two 12 volt AGM batteries laying around in order to use with a small trolling motor I have. This would be more than adequate to power that water pump. Unfortunately, you are in Pittsburgh and I'm in the mountains of western North Carolina. Good luck! GeoffChapman Posted Wednesday at 11:41 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 11:41 PM Thanks Bill. I wonder - what if I were to use 12v leads off my Jackery battery and connect them directly to the leads of the pump? All I want to do is run it for 5 minutes… Thoughts? GeoffChapman Posted Thursday at 12:27 AM Author Posted Thursday at 12:27 AM Was wondering about that. I haven’t looked carefully at the pump motor, and there will be no 12v power to run a test. Any wisdom on which lead is + or -? 1 Geoff and Becca Chapman * Pittsburgh Legacy Elite 1 Hull #731 * TV 2024 Ford Ranger Turbo 2.7L Ecoboost V6
Snackchaser Posted Thursday at 02:29 AM Posted Thursday at 02:29 AM With all other loads turned off (as to not overload the Jackery) just hook your Jackery neg to the ground buss with all the yellow wires, and the Jackery positive to the big red wire input of your 12 volt fuse panel . Your pump will then operate as normal. Otherwise you will have to cut the wire splice at the pump to feed it. 3

GeoffChapman Posted Thursday at 04:35 PM Author Posted Thursday at 04:35 PM Need some more guidance, please. I'm not very experienced at electricity, but I am game if it is safe. Forget the Jackery. Can I use one of my 12v lithiums instead? "With all other loads turned off (as to not overload the Jackery) just hook your Jackery neg to the ground buss with all the yellow wires, and the Jackery positive to the big red wire input of your 12 volt fuse panel . Your pump will then operate as normal. " Looking carefully - here's my shot at a safe 12v power disconnect the 120v land line take one of my lithium batteries, turned off and use a jumper cable, connecting the: negative to the 'ground buss with all the yellow wires' and positive to the naked bus on the far side of the 12 volt fuse panel? (left side of photo) turn lithium battery on turn off all 12v lights, etc turn on water pump and finish the winterizing Is this good? Corrections? Happy Thanksgiving!!! GeoffChapman Posted Sunday at 07:21 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:21 PM Need more help, please. I have put the lithium batteries back in, unplugged the shore power and the FreedomX Remote Panel with the Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 Inverter both are running and supplying power to the 120v system. The 12v system does not come on. Is there a fuse I've thrown - or a switch on the inverter that needs to be pushed to make the 12v system come on? dewdev Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM Did you turn on the power switch on the Xantrex? This power switch does not need to be turned on if you have the Xantrex remote panel, you can turn on the unit from that push button switch. 2018 Oliver Elite II, Twin Bed, Hull #354 2024 RAM 1500, 4 x 4; Gas. 5.7L V8 Hemi MDS VVT Torque; 3.21 rear axle ratio w/TIMBREN spring rear suspension addition Maine
GeoffChapman Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM I have pushed the power switch on the Xantrex and on the Remote. The remote lights up, as does the Xantrex. Are these button switches 'on' when depressed (in) and 'off' when out? Should the Xantrex be "out" and the Remote be 'in'? Yes, It is likely that you have "tripped" one (or both of the "breakers" that look exactly like the one in the picture you post right above this post. If either of the two of those are tripped then you should see a little yellow "flag" that will stick out the side of that black plastic. In order to reset it all you have to do is push the little yellow flag back in. GeoffChapman Posted Sunday at 08:52 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:52 PM (edited) Bill, thank you!! The fuse on the side of the battery compartment (not the one in the photo) had been tripped. Reset it and Success!! Pump and the rest of the 12v system came on. Winterization is now complete. Thank you all!!!
