Nan
Just wondering what everyone's premiums are for their Oliver. Mine is a 2017 Elite II and Safeco wants $800. Does that sound about right? Thanks.
Ralph Mawyer
Varies by state and coverage, and like most, you are probably limited to coverage by your primary carrier as most don't want to insure just the trailer by itself...but pretty reasonable rate depending on deductible and whether ACV or Agreed Value coverage. Given the market value of an Oliver, vs Book, I'd be sure you have an Agreed Value clause in the contract in case of a total loss. Would mean the difference between getting $35K and $55K+. 1 2020 Legacy Elite II : Hull 625 - 2013 Lexus LX 570 San Antonio/Boerne - Texas Hill Country
Moderators SeaDawg Posted August 17, 2021 Moderators Share Posted August 17, 2021 Nan, you could check with Good Sam's for a quote. We've had them since day 1. We call in when the trailer is in storage, call four days before we take it out, and get a credit. What we pay is irrelevant, as a 2008. In the beginning, we had full replacement value for a few years. Good Sam's uses different companies on different regions. We also use their towing and roadside insurance. Covers all our vehicles, towing or not,,and has been good in the five or six times we've needed it. 1 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. 2008RN
We are with State Farm for all of our vehicles. I gave the itemized list of options with the total cost from Oliver, State Dam said they would use this as a base cost. They are charging $240 per year with a $1000 deductible. 1 Early 1999 Ford F250 SD 7.3L Diesel 2020 Elite II Twin - Hull #
Fargoman
Our policy for the LE2 we'll be picking up on September 16th costs $514 annually, through Good Sam affiliate insurance company National General. We also have Good Sam's Roadside Assistance policy. As a comparison, we have used Geico for all of our vehicles, including the recently-sold teardrop trailer, for many years. Geico's quote for insuring the LE2 was approximately $800 annually, and that was with their multi-vehicle discount. 1 2021 Legacy Elite 2 Twin Bed | Hull Number 894 (9/16/21 delivery) | Ram 1500 Longhorn 4x4 3.0L EcoDiesel 3.92 axle
