Where to buy a small quantity of reflectix insulation? What type of adhesive should I use to keep it in place on the battery door and the cellar door?

From all the posts about Alcan, I don't recall any of their installs taking more than two hours. Likely your two additional food storage boxes will not warm up all that much if you just keep them in the shade. GJ - Today

I measure the footprint of two Epoch 300s side-by-side to be 13.75" x 15.26" and the 13.75" is at the base, the handles will stick out 15.5" side-to-side. Do you have an extra inch behind the tray? If so, you could remove the tray, cut the rear steel wall off the tray, then reinstall the tray. This would fit two batteries in the tray, but the rear battery would hang 1" off the back. Both batteries could still be strapped in place. And you could add a 1/4" alum or poly sheet in the tray, under the batteries, measuring 14.75" x 15.26" the so that rear battery is fully supported. I thought of doing this when I upgraded to 3x 300 Epoch in our E2. But in the end was very happy to delete the heavy tray and get more headroom! 😎

Yea sorry, those Amazon links were questionable, so I updated that reply with a better link. 3-pin dc power connectors are typically switched, to disconnect a battery when an outside power supply is plugged in. Those Amazon knock-offs have a sketchy description, so without actually testing one there is no telling what they are. I buy parts from DigiKey. Look up Digikey part PJ-005B and view the datasheet. There is a schematic showing the Pin-2 to Pin-3 switch. They are under $3 at DigiKey plus shipping, Amazon sells them 5 for $18 with free shipping: https://a.co/d/04TQyt2M

We do have 15-30 amp dog one. I will ask them in morning and if it’s an issue we can unpack pretty quickly -
It certainly is! They are so customer oriented, my bet is their answer would be, "Yes Sir, no problem!" (You have a 30A to 15A dog-bone, right?)

We are in Grand Junction at James Rob State Park. Appointment with Alcan in AM. This is the start of a 6 week trip and we have a refrigerator and freezer full of food. Wonder if it’s reasonable to ask to plug in during service. We have large cooler and can unpack. -
Update: we've picked up our trailer, and - with the Anderson hitch set with top bolt in second bolt hole from top, the tailgate does not hit the hitch. Not even close to the aluminum box, even with the SeaBiscuit box added. Andersen setup is great, as is the SB box and "moose" chain hanger.

Thanks all. Will continue to ponder as we gather bugs and pollen on the current post-pickup Southern trip.

Ruuvi sensors with Victron - Awesome!
Snackchaser replied to rideadeuce's topic in Ollie Modifications
Just as an FYI, new tech is out there! Although probably impracticable for most, others might love the Safiery LP tank sensors! Check out today's new post "AI is here for your trailer!" Cheers, Geoff -
There are plenty of posts about new products and technologies for our trailers in this forum, and it seems there are endless choices. But for those willing to pay for cutting edge and high quality, take a look at products from Safiery. Safiery, based in Australia, began as a Victron supplier and is now marketing their own RV and Marine products to integrate with Victron equipment. It’s a somewhat confusing array of technology that is mostly overkill for our little trailers. But I’ve been eying a few items that look very attractive: Since I titled this post with “AI tech,” then I should mention Safiery’s Smart AI DC-DC charger. Cutting edge for sure, but not cost effective for small systems IMHO. If I was looking to upgrade or replace my lithium batteries, the Safiery SOLID STATE batteries are worthy of consideration. They are expensive, but cheaper than the Oliver’s Lithionics, and they have many advancements such as 10,000 cycles, improved BMS, better cold performance, smaller size, more robust, and much safer than liquid lithium. For those with Victron Cerbo, Safiery has compatible tank level sensors for liquids and LP gas. I had been waiting for something like this before upgrading to a Cerbo. These sensors are easily adapted and competitively priced with some of the lessor alternatives. Liquid tank sensors are top mounted and use Radar for very accurate measurement, LP gas level sensors are similar to Mopeco, but with built in signal processing. How about an Electric Stovetop? A safiery induction countertop stove looks very cool and affordable for those with 2k inverters (can be drawer mounted too!). Then there is a whole array of digital wireless switching options with Multi-channel receivers, bus management, and other options I haven’t even gotten around to looking at yet. It’s an exiting new world for the tech minded DIYer! Cheers! Geoff

According to AI (for what its worth): Support & Contact For technical support or issues, the primary method is to email support@ruuvi.com. They also maintain an active community forum, Slack, and Telegram for user support. Bill

This was originally a Ruuvi thread. I love them! Had purchased a set of 4, the standard type pictured above. These are hard to find today. Anybody have a source? I purchased two more that I believe they call the Pro model. Black with slots for mounting straps, a bit more expensive. I have the original 4 monitoring cabin temp, back of basement by the plumbing lines, Oliver fridge and Freezer. The two new ones are in the truck cab and our newer Dometic CFX5 refrigerator in the truck bed. After two years of use, one original Ruuvi that was in our Oliver freezer has gone bad. It no longer reads from the Bluetooth app, same with new battery installed. They're likely beyond limited warranty, but anybody know of a US-based Ruuvi Customer Service number or website. It seems searches always go outside the US. Is Ruuvi a Finland company? Any info would be helpful. Thx

At first, I was negative re Mopeka, but after their customer service sent me a replacement pair at no cost, without shipping costs nor returning the original pair, I certainly agree with this statement! They have been accurate. Also, I used the original pair at home on two 20# tanks for our grill and home fire ring. They have been performing as well. Perhaps since they are stationery. Anyway, very happy! 😂

Welcome! We lived in Washington for 27 years before moving to Colorado in 2019 and we enjoyed several trips to the San Juan Islands. It's a beautiful place! I'm a trout bum myself and often refer to my Oliver as my MFC (mobile fishing cabin) for fly fishing adventures here in Colorado. It will serve you well and the folks on this forum are super helpful if you have questions.
