  1. I have been involved with Oliver Travel Trailers almost since day one. The fact that we have owned two of their fine trailers should indicate to everyone that I am very pro-Oliver. As well as the Oliver family, I have personally known virtually all the workers on the line during these past 10 years. I can attest that they are all fine, Christian, honest folks with the customer’s best interests at heart. I have placed this post in this thread since it seems that, once again, an old problem has reared its ugly head. That problem being the attacking or speaking disparagingly against Oliver’s employees. I want to make it very clear that from this point on there will be ZERO tolerance for negatively commenting on an employee’s performance or words within this forum. This is not the proper venue for venting toward an individual. Case in point is the recent comment alleged to have been made by Anita in the sales office. I have spoken with Anita concerning this matter. She is very upset about this accusation and vehemently denies ever having said those words. Further, it has been addressed with management. You may feel free to rant on about anything Oliver Trailer related but if you have a problem with an Oliver employee or if you perceive they have acted in a manner that you deem unprofessional, you are to address that matter directly with Scott Oliver.

  2. Hi All, Last summer, Laura and I took a family camping trip to Lake Rudolph Campground & Resort in Santa Claus, IN following our oldest daughter graduating from the University of Kentucky. For her graduation present, she wanted to go back to Holiday World Amusement Park with her sister and cousins. We took many summer trips to Holiday World when the girls were little with their cousins. Given that Laura and I are empty nest RVers now, we decided to turn this into a week long camping trip at Lake Rudolph Campground and Resort that is adjacent to Holiday World Amusement Park. I am the Kentucky Correspondent for Stephanie and Jeremy Puglisi’s Campground of the Week Podcast. They recently interviewed me regarding our family trip to Lake Rudolph Campground and Resort. Here is the link if you are interested in taking a listen. . . https://rvfta.com/podcast/lake-rudolph-campground Happy Camping, Dean P.S. - Looking forward to the Oliver Rally in May!!!

  3. If you would like to have the Microair Easy Start installed on your AC unit, a factory representative from Microair will be doing the installation again at the rally this year. Each installation will be done by appointment only. If you are unfamiliar with this product, there are several threads on the Oliver Forum that explains the significant advantage to having this feature on your AC. If you wish to have the Easy Start installed on your unit, please contact Matteo Giovanetti directly (e-mail and phone number below) to set an install appointment. 4. Last year, I sort of hijacked John Davies thread on clothesline with questions on Hasko hooks, so I thought I'd start a new thread this time. Canoe12 and try2relax both reported great luck with this hook.Hasko hook I came across a chrome towel ring at Bealls outlet a few days ago, with a similar suction cup attachment. At $6, I figured it was worth a try, as the suction attachment looked very similar, minus the knurls on the (plastic) knob. I tried it out in the house-- upstairs guest bath. That's a tough test, as none of my trailer suction cup accessories work on the matte/ finely striated tile in that shower. But this one did. Two days so far, with a big bath towel on a ring meant for a hand towel. Looking forward to using it in the Oliver this summer. Still available at many places online... Everloc towel ring. They also have hooks, towel bars, and toothbrush holders, etc, in chrome. Sherry

  5. So I woke up this morning to an alarm from Victron telling me that they'd lost the connection to our trailer. A quick check showed that the batteries had been run down to zero. This is the second time that Oliver has allowed them to run down while in service, in two visits. This time there wasn't much turned on other than the various monitors, which draw about an amp total. That would have lasted 12-14 days normally, but Oliver worked on it a few times during the last week and had some things plugged in, so we lost a few days' time. It also looks like someone may have turned the fridge on, or left something plugged in that added another amp to the draw for about three days. Hopefully no harm done to the lithiums but I really wonder how often they allow the same thing to happen to other customers' trailers with lead acid batteries. I mean, I'm pretty sure that we're the first customers to have remote monitoring, so if Oliver has allowed other customers' batteries to fully discharge, how would we know? Anyway, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but twice in a row? Jeez. I've emailed Jason and copied Scott, asking them to put something in place to keep this from happening again. But frankly, given my experience, if any of you have left your trailer at Oliver for an extended period, I'd just assume that they allowed your batteries to fully deplete while there.

  6. Welcome. You will find that quite a few of the people here started their research with the Airstream and ended up here. Last testrear Oliver made a big comment about now being international, that being they had a Canadian purchaser, maybe they can answer your questions about the best way to navigate the financing of it, after all their end goal is the sale. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
